Reviews for A Matter Of Choice

A surprisingly good (and LONG! Chapters are your friends) story. It's got great depth and you've definitely stayed in character (especially for emotional Grissom... kudos to you), and you just get the feeling that Catherine is somewhere really trying to help him, and Grissom is sitting around somewhere beating himself about the head... This story feels as real as the show, and that's saying a lot.
I was also surprised at another thing: You've managed to turn an episode that's usually associated with Grissom and Sara into a G/C fic. You deserve a... err... what's that writing award...? for that alone. My kudos to you, Star, keep at it!

I can't find the words to praise you enough for beautifully describing middle-age Griss. You have hit the nail on the head with a frick'n sledgehammer and have captured the male perspective of life. Gil is defiantly at that point in his life that looks alot like male menopause and has been for a couple of years. But I don't supoose anyone under 40 or hasn't been with the same man for 20 years could ever appreciate this fact.

Oh what a surprise to see this case have closure, a very intelligent way to find that one missing clue. You are one of the few writer out there that has the master of imagery as well as being able to bring a more worldly and spiritual eye to fanfics. Your Cath & Gil are very believable to us older folks and I really appreciate the way you paint them in a mature relationship. A definite 10 out of 10 for this lovely story that was a pleasure to read again.

God what a treat to find a story written with an eye for real life instead of this bubble-gum crap that floods the web. A big high 5 and kudos to you Star!
