I didn't like this at first, but I came back to reread it and the concept here is growing on me. It was very short, but you packed so much context into such a small space that the length is forgivable.
This tale obviously dehumanizes Simon, but that's what makes it so great. During the course of the show Simon was in a constant no-win situation. He must have been more stressed out than any other member of the crew, actually. Combined with his sexual frustration over Kaylee, it's easy to see how he could start taking advantage of Inara's profession for stress relief. He probably still respects her as a person, but the temptation would be too much for anyone in his situation to resist.
Inara's motives are harder for me to pinpoint. But I imagine in this situation, she would be trying to recapture the sense of sophisticated masculinity she acquired on her home planet/during her training years. Simon was the only person on the ship (besides maybe Book?) who could fill that role for her.

My only true complaint is that you didn't include a stray thought about Inara perhaps feeling guilty for fucking her friend's crush. But given the circumstances, if your Inara did this at all, it was probably later. I just wonder how you feel she would justify it.
