Wow. Just wow. This story left me breathless. I rarely leave reviews, but I couldn't possibly have left this beauty of a story without one. Your writing flowed so purely and actually made me feel both John and Sherlock's pain. Made me feel as if this could have been a plausible branch off for the series. Just... my goodness. I loved it. Every word and the ending left me feeling both happy and needing more. Thank you so much for writing this.

I don't often review stories on this site, but damn did this one compel me to. This was amazing. I literally feel like Watson when Sherlock first made his deductions about John's life. Awed and amazed. I cried so much reading this fic. It was beautifully sad and you really made the connection between Sherlock and Watson tangible. The ending... oh god the ending. I was weeping. Not crying, weeping by the end of it. My family was wanting to know what was wrong with me. I could only tell them I was reading a sad/happy ending. All in all beautifully written, you really captured Sherlock's character which is not an easy task.

All in all, beautiful story, and I hope to read more of your work.

Oh my, this is one of the best, most emotional and very very *very* true to my own personal take of John and Sherlock. they characters are flawed and very raw in a way, that makes them very very real. sherlocks consius effort to make John know that he cares is breathtaking and the deepth of Johns greif...wow

Read it. loved it. so recomend it!

I've really been enjoying this story. Sherlock post-Reichenbach and return seems true to himself, and John keeping his pain to himself as much as he can seems "true" too. But how sad, even at the very end of Ch 8! Poor John, poor Sherlock - I hope they can begin to get some of this out in the open between the two of them at least!
I am looking forward anxiously to the next chapter(s)!

I just finished watching the first season of Sherlock so I didn't understand some of the references that you made in your story but I love it! I love how you even managed to capture Sherlock's way of thinking! I can't wait for the next chapter(s). Please update soon!

"Watching the entire action made John want to wrap his arms around Sherlock again, made him want to take the place of the pillow that Sherlock was clinging to, and that thought on its own was enough to give him pause"

Don't we all... this is so sweet.

And then you went and got me all sad. Love this chapter though, you write out descriptions so beautifully.

Well, as a Sherlockian, I'm definitely very thankful for such a detailed, descriptive, thougthful story!!! Sherlock's true analytical nature is properly revealed, yep, "a coloured coded, alphabetised mind", and he doesn't - suddenly - become a poet, or romantic, or overly hysterical creature, thanx god..:) Still, he's so HUMAN here that it hurts.
The biggest shock was John's reaction, though. His approach to Sherlock's sudden appearance but i guess the reason'll be revealed later?
And I never knew John was a good artist.. neither did Sherlock:)

Thank you, quite a rare Sh. story with Sh. true to himself.. definitely worth continuing - yes, "Further analysis of subject required"! :)
    Good luck with the story!
