I like the attention to detail and the relationship work between Alec and Max. I just wanted to mention that it seems like you forgot or have not discussed Max's broken leg. If Alec couldn't jump the fence in Ch. 1 cuz he was shot, would Max be able to jump it with a broken leg. Also there's no mention of it except in Ch. 1, even with all the running. Perhaps changing Chapter 1 to simple say her leg was gashed instead of broken?
