Sweet! I love the way both of them evade the question asked, and the way Lex can't shake off his doubts and fears, but tries to find a way around them. There's a sense of comfort and peace to the scene, and (the way I read it) Lex can't resist that, even if he can't completely accept it, either.

Ah, bliss. Allow me to simply wallow in a fanfiction that's not littewithwith errors, has a nice streak of "reality", and is genuinely enjoyable to read. The shortness and the many dots are small problems when I consider the acres of dross I've just trawled through, all with mindless reviews attached. B- for you, methinks. Go you.
