I don't know how many times I've read this story by now. Must be at least a dozen.
It's not even that the wording is particularly artistic, or the plot very realistic, but somehow you manage to put things exactly the right way to have a major impact. You write strong emotions really well. And I'm not even a Smallville fan, dammit! ;D (Though this fic caused me to watch a number of episodes to get to know the characters a little.)
Too bad this isn't on FFN anymore, I found that site more comfortable. And I don't believe for one second that they'd actually go through their billions of fics and check which ones comply with what guideline. *eyeroll* Ah well, your choice. As long as it's still up somewhere. ^^ Because I like re-reading it every once in a while, and not only when I'm home and have all my own copies available. ;) I really, really like this one.

Wally West and John Stewart.... I haven't read many DC/Marvel comics recently... but I am thinking Flash and Green Lantern, if my memory does not decieve me.

oh man, that was such a nice story. well, some parts weren't so nice but you get the idea.

Wow!!! What a great story!
You write the characters and the plot really well, and the I love the way you've made the story into just one chapter. It's frustrating when a story is only half-written (for the author too - I'm halfway through writing a HP/DM Harry Potter fic, and posting has become too eratic that I'm just gonna write the rest and post a chapter a day once it's finished - Merlin only knows when that will be!)
Keep writing - whether it's a sequel to this story or another one entirely different!
