Well, Shivers is certainly an enjoyable, quality 'fic. When River says "I don't need another Simon in my life. I need you.", I think what she meant was: "I don't need another brother. I need someone to hold me close, a lover." I found it very interesting that River didn't try to hid her relationship with Jayne. (I wonder what Simon's perspective is on this?). Lastly, I really enjoyed the part where Jayne was wondering why River was staying with him.
