This is a gem! I have seen the 'online thing' done before but not with this level of satisfaction. I am so pleased to have discovered this treasure trove of fiction! I enjoyed the interplay between Alex and Walter. Mulder's behavior was exactly what I would have expected. He's so..."It's all about me, me, ME!"...that he can't see Alex is only going through the motions with him. You did a wonderful job of delineating the difference between the two relationships. Great work!
