I'm sorry you didn't receive many reviews at the time you posted this. you are a very fine writer and deserve uplifting feedback and encouragement.
This is not the usual Criminal Minds fic I usually read. I must admit I'm titillated by m/m slash and heavily fan Hotch and Reid together. (Although I also fan Morgan/Reid and think them a better/ more likely and more symbiotic couple, I find Hotch's fierce loyalty and protectiveness really curls my toes!) Hotch and someone NOT Reid doesn't really call to me, in fact I tend to feel jealousy on Reid's behalf when I do read them, lol. So this fic is a major departure for me and I am glad I read it. It was a very interesting casefic/ romance, character study and showed Hotch in a very vulnerable and sexy way. Terra was a worthy original character and her history rang (unfortunately) true enough to make her a whole fleshed out character who was believable.
My only disappointment was that it ended so sad. I kinda wish she died in a blaze of glory. Some way heroic. Banished and alone having a child who will never know her father or half brother is just too depressing.
I shed a few tears over the ending.
LOL, that's a compliment, by the way. Not that I enjoy the post tears headache.
