I really liked the story it was well written and the culture of Da'an was believable. I liked the first part more than the second part as the getting to know the culture was more in focus than Deanna's ordeal. She kind of just accepted it like an annoyance rather than a tramatic event.

One thing that really stood out to me was that you wrote the female characters really well, capable but not so good they became mary sue like.
