Decent enough.
Watch the pacing, don't have too much of the typical up and down roller-coaster change going on. eg. they get close, then further apart, then close, then further apart etc. Keep some consistency in the evolution of their relationship.
The characterisation of Alec is nice and I am enjoying it.
