I can't think of a story that would deserve a first prize more than this one. I was on the edge of my seat for the final two chapters, and the ending did not disappoint. Marvelous work!

I can sympathize with the difficulty in writing shorter fiction. I tend to write flash fic ans short story challenges lately simply to hone that skill myself. I have to bow to how deftly you did this, however, and admit to a bit of jealousy.

This is a most engrossing story, and I'm absolutely on the edge of my seat. My Viking ancestors are cheering for Mackenzie, I assure you, and I can tell you, in Kehlan's place, I would want to at least be there in spirit, beside my mate.

I'm looking forward to the continuation of this story!
