"We just gotta hang tough. It's gonna be okay," Max told Joshua, more to herself than anything.
"I don't know. The way upstairs people look at me...I don't know if it'll ever be okay," Joshua replied.
He could tell that Max was far away at that moment.

In the rear view mirror
Pictures frozen in time
"If it's a package, get a number," Normal told Max from behind the counter when the phone rang.
Max rolled her eyes and answered the phone.

Are becoming clearer
I don't wanna waste another day
Stuck in the shadow of my mistakes
"Start talking," She answered the phone, "Let's just keep it simple and you call me 452...I want a van parked outside with a full tank of gas..."

"Not until I get my transportation and a guaranteed safe passage out of here...Just the van. We'll take care of our own...Half when the van arrives, half when we get to our destination...It's not far. They'll be home for dinner."
Then she hung up.

Like a hunger,

"Wyatt..." She whispered, turning away from the phone.
Mole walked up to her.

"You're dreaming if you think they're gonna let us just drive off into the sunset," He told her, "Get it through your head--the only way they want this to end is with us dead."

Now I'm broken,
And I'm faded
A little time passed and everyone just seemed to be waiting for something. Max just seemed to be staring into space though. Remembering something, someone. Someone who had visited Seattle with his family for a few weeks. A sweet young thing that she befriended easily. He seemed to have known what she was and didn't care.

I'm half the man I thought I would be:

Sketchy walked up to her.

"Hey, Max. I was hoping you might possibly be interested in having me interview you about your life as a hot transgenic female on the run in post-Pulse America?" He asked, watching her through his camera.
She gave him the finger.

"No," She said simply.

I've been dying inside,

No where to go
Mole got in his face and Sketchy backed down, sitting back down.

"Please tell me that he is not the baby daddy," Original Cindy asked Gem after looking at Mole.
"He was another X-5," She replied, shaking her head, "We were breeding partners."
"That sounds real romantic."
"It wasn't."

But going out of my mind
In endless circles,
Shit seemed to hit the fan not long after that. Everything up after a certain point seemed to be happening in slow motion. Max didn't know what to do.

"Max!" called a familiar, but not so familiar voice.

Running from my self until,
You gave me a reason for standing still
A tall man with wild blonde curled hair, wearing all black was standing next to Logan on top of a car. While Logan jumped down, the man used balls of energy to take out snipers.

Cause I want you,

Crawling underneath my skin
Wyatt orbed into Jam Pony, right next to Max.

"Miss me, Maxie?" He chuckled.

Max's eyes went wide when she realized who he was.

"Wyatt?"
He nodded. She hugged him tight, with almost bruising strength.

Now I'm broken,

"You came," She whispered.
Wyatt wrapped his arms around her, ruffling her hair just a bit.

"I did, Maxie, just like I promised."

Max stepped back to take a look at him. He looked different. Way different, actually. About 7 to 10 years older actually. He also had that 'wiggins' vibe, as Kendra called it, about him. He was screaming it, really.

"But..."
Wyatt raised a hand.

"Didn't I say 'Good or Evil or in between'," He asked, pausing for a moment, "'No matter when, no matter what'?"
Max nodded silently. He had come. Wiggins as White, but he still came.

The others watched the exchange. Those who had weapons were sorely tempted to just attack the man. Logan was, admittedly, feeling rather jealous, while Joshua was just smiling that Max was finally happy, in some way, shape or form.

Out of my mind
I'm just running in circles all the time
