It was a warm fall evening in Santa Barbara as Head Detective Carlton Lassiter hurried to finish up his paperwork. “What’s the rush, Lassie?” Shawn teased, leaning on Lassiter’s desk. Carlton shot him a glare, “I’m meeting up with someone tonight.” “A meeting with someone?”Shawn continued to rib. “Does Lassie have a girlfriend? Or a boyfriend?” If looks could kill, Shawn would be dead. “I’m not gay and I’m not dating anyone.” Shawn raised an eyebrow, “What’s got in you a bad mood?” Carlton sighed, “I just want to finish up this paperwork and get out of here. You’re impeding that. It’s kind of important that I make this meeting, alright?” “What important meeting, Carlton?” Juliet walked over. Carlton glared at Shawn again, who looked around innocently. “It’s a meeting with a victim from ten years ago. It was my first case where I was lead; it was a home-invasion gone wrong. The owners, two parents, were on vacation and the grandmother was babysitting the kids. The aunt was also over, helping clean up after dinner. The older kid, a boy, was over at a friend’s house at the time. The burglars broke in through the kitchen, killed the aunt as the grandmother grabbed the girl and shoved her into the closest bedroom. The grandmother dialed 911 and barricaded the door. I was the one that got them out. The girl sort of clung to me and cried when her grandmother was giving her statement to the police; the girl saw everything. I also helped her with her testimony during the trial.” He paused and continued, “I’ve sort of…stayed in touch over the years.” “Aww, Lassie,” Shawn smiled, “You do have a sweet spot for people.” “Shawn,” Juliet chided. “Don’t be mean. Carlton is a very nice man.” Having finished his paperwork, Carlton glared at Spencer, grabbed his jacket, and walked out of the station. Carlton straightened his tie and jacket before knocking on the apartment door. He heard barking and a female voice calling the dog’s name before the door opened. “Detective!” The perky brunette smiled broadly at him. “Please come in!” Carlton entered the apartment, carefully avoiding the giant dog wiggling about him. “It’s so good to see you!” She cried out, wrapping her arms around his neck. He awkwardly patted her back as he thought about the last time they met up. It was a year ago and she wasn’t this…curvy. Or at least not that he remembered, it was winter time at a ski resort and they were both in ski jackets (he was investigating a tragic accident and she happened to be at the resort at the time). She let ago and asked, “How are you doing?” “I’m good; how are you doing, Alexandra? This week must be hard for you.” “It’s Lexi now, Detective. I haven’t gone by Alexandra in the last 10 years. I think this would be the fifth time I told you that,” she teased as she led him into the living room. “I’m good. I received my master’s degree and now have a big girl job.” “A Master’s degree?” Carlton asked. “You’re twenty!” She laughed as she sat on the couch. Well if you could call it a couch, it had a total of two seats and it was the only place to sit in the cramped living room. “I’m twenty-five now, Detective, and it was an accelerated program. Have a seat, pizza is on the way. It’s a large and there’s no way that I can eat it all on my own, even with this big girl.” He sat down beside her and gave the dog a look of contempt. It was inches away from drooling on his dress pants. “Would you like something to drink? Beer, whiskey, vodka, or something nonalcoholic?” “A drink will be nice,” he replied. Lexi nodded and got up, squeezing by him and sauntered over to her kitchen; his eyes unintentionally followed her hips. Carlton realized he was staring at her round ass and blushed, looking away. “I think I’ll have a whiskey on the rocks.” Her bare feet padded softly on the hardwood as she made her way back. “Are you alright, Detective?” She gave him a quizzical look. “Is Milka bothering you?” “Milka?” Carlton asked, looking anywhere but her direction, “Who or what is Milka?” “Milka is my Belgian Malinois that you’ve been oh so carefully avoiding so she doesn’t drool or shed on your nice suit, Detective,” Lexi retorted, sitting back down and handing the whiskey over. “You’re not a dog person, are you?” Carlton took a sip and shook his head. “I’m not an animal person, really.” “Really?” she replied with a tilt of her head. “I had you pegged for a cat person, Detective.” “You can stop calling me ‘detective’ now.” “Mr. Lassiter?”She raised her eyebrows, making him chuckle a bit. “Just call me Carlton.” She gave him a flirty look and scooted a bit closer. “Can I call you Carl?” “No,” was his immediate reply. “Fair enough,” she nodded as the doorbell rang. “Hold on, pizza is here.” “I’ll get the pizza,” Carlton replied. “You sit here.” “Alright,” she shrugged. “Paper plates are on top of the fridge, money is on the counter.” She watched as he pulled his wallet out of his pocket and paid the delivery boy. As he walked back with pizza, she shot him a playfully dirty look. “I said the money was on the counter.” He nodded as he sat back down, “I know. And?” “Carlton, will you at least take the money as reimbursement?” “No.” “Fine,” she replied, signaling to the dog. Milka climbed up on Carlton and slurped his face. Lexi gave Carlton a smile that was similar to Spencer’s cheeky grin. “Call off the dog,” Carlton said through gritted teeth. “She likes you though! Look at her tail wag!” Lexi nudged him with her shoulder. “The kids love it.” He continued glare at her as he attempted to shove the dog off. “Alright, Milka, off. Go to your room.” After wiping off the slobber, Carlton scoffed, “Your dog has its own room? And what kids?” “Milka is a ‘she’ first of all and two, she doesn’t have her own room, that’s ridiculous. She has her kennel that I call her room. I have my master’s in child psychology. I help kids that were in traumatic situations, like I was, and sometimes Milka comes along. The kids start crying and Milka jumps in and gives them kisses, thus cheering them up. Or they feel more comfortable talking to the dog. Also, Milka is fantastic when you just need to hold something and cry.” She flipped open the pizza box top as Lassiter stared at her. Is she still affected by that night? “I hope you like pepperoni on your pizza. If you want, we can watch a movie. I just rented The Outlaw Josey Wales starring the awesome Clint Eastwood. Interested?” “Sure; I must say that I’m very proud of you. Most kids witness something like that doesn’t turn out as well as you.” She glanced down as a slight blush appeared on her cheeks. “Well, I had a great support system in my family, plus I had my dog and a helpful young detective that told me to call anytime I wanted, who also walked me through the court proceedings.” Carlton took a sip of whiskey, “I was only doing my job.” “Yeah, but it’s been 10 years and you’re still keeping in touch, which reminds me, I was on the phone with my grandma before you came over. She says ‘hello’, ‘thank you for always keeping an eye on my granddaughter’, and if you want, she’ll send you some fresh turtle soup.” Carlton raised an eyebrow, “How fresh are we talking about?” Lexi smiled awkwardly, “As soon as she drags the snapper out of her pond, shoots it, and lets the blood drain out. She’ll be glad to mail it to you after that.” Carlton stared at her, causing Lexi to blush more and mutter, “Let’s start the movie, shall we?” At the end of the movie, Carlton’s cell phone went off. He checked the caller ID and grumbled, “Spencer.” “Is he the white guy that was in the background during your interview that you yelled at? The interview after you killed that drug kingpin?” “Yeah, that’d be him,” Carlton sighed. “I’ll just be a minute.” He answered the phone. “What do you want Spencer?” He listened to Spencer ramble about how his physic vision was telling him something or another not having to deal with Carlton at the moment. He glanced at Lexi and rolled his eyes, making her giggle a bit. She leaned against him and whispered in his ear, “Just tell him you’re about to have a twenty-something naked in the next minute, so he should just hang up and leave you alone for the night.” Carlton whipped his head around and her lips met his. The kiss lasted for only a few seconds before Lassiter pulled back, partly because she was half his age and partly because his cell phone was going off. It was a text from Spencer saying ‘Physic abilities saying you’re kissing a pretty girl. You go Lassie!’ Carlton grumbled before shoving his cell back into his pocket, got up, strode over to the blinds, and closed them. Lexi looked up with her brown eyes, full of amusement. “Carlton, what we were doing isn’t illegal.” “Lexi, you’re a sweet girl and…” Carlton started. “Thanks,” she interrupted him, holding up a finger, “but I’m not a girl anymore, Detective. What’s so wrong with what we were going?” “You’re half my age.” His blue-grey eyes bore into hers. She arched her eyebrows and smiled a bit. “And?” “I’ve just gone through a divorce. I’m not looking for a relationship right now.” “Neither am I,” she replied, still smiling. She bent over and grabbed his whiskey off the table; all the while Carlton’s eyes followed her breasts as she bent over. As Lexi handed Carlton his whiskey, he sighed, “Look. We’ve know each other for a long time now. I’ve watched you grow into an intelligent, successful young woman. You have a master’s in psychology, correct? Then clearly you should recognize this as some kind of Stockholm syndrome or something.” Lexi nodded and thought about it for a moment. Her pink tongue quickly slid across her lips before replying, “Or it could be that I’m actually attracted to you because you have this alpha male quality.” “Alpha male?” Carlton raised an eyebrow. His eyes trailed over her curvy figure. Part of him wanted to test the waters and part of him wondered if it would be taking advantage of her. “Uh huh,” she replied, her voice breathy. Against his better judgment, Carlton took a step forward and looked her in the eye. She raised an eyebrow and gave him a challenging look. “You have a very alpha male stance right now, Carlton. It’s kind of sexy actually.” Carlton gulped down the whiskey as a debate raged in his head. She is young. But she is of age and has been for a while. But you’ve known her for so long. She made the first move. She did. Plus, it’s just for the night. As long as she understands that. “Well?” she inquired. Carlton took another step forward, “You realize that this is going to be a one night type of deal, right?” She took a step forward, so they were centimeters apart, “Right.” He studied her face before leaning in. His kiss was tentative, expecting her to pull back and change her mind. She pressed herself closer to him as she deepened the kiss. The taste of whiskey covered his taste as her tongue explored his mouth. Her hands ran through his salt-and-pepper hair as his arms wrapped around her waist. His hands move down her waist to her ass, causing her to groan. Lexi pulled back looked up at Carlton, “We can go to my room if you’d like.” His hands roamed her figure as he pretended to debate her suggestion. “Only if you want to,” he replied, giving her butt a quick squeeze. Her eyes fluttered shut momentarily before she pressed herself closer. “Oh Carlton,” she murmured against his lips. “I’m going to make your night worthwhile.” He pulled her closer to kiss her, but she slipped out of his grasp. “But you’re going to have to work for it.” She grabbed the glass and sauntered into the kitchen. Carlton took off his jacket, tossing it on the kitchen table. Lexi was at the sink, rinsing out his glass as he approached from behind. Carlton grabbed her by the waist, pinned her, and started to kiss her passionately, pressing his body against hers. She grabbed the counter to steady herself as Carlton’s hands trailed up and down her waist and he explored her mouth. The sound of a phone ringing caused her to push him back. “I’m sorry, it’s my work phone, or else I would just let it go to voicemail,” she replied. His hungry eyes looked over her face as he nodded, backing off so she could get the phone. “This is Alexandra,” she answered the phone. She paused to listen to the caller and shot an amused look at Carlton. “Yes, the detective is here. Is this Shawn Spencer, the psychic detective?” She listened to his response, turning her back on Carlton. Lassiter rolled his eyes and started to move her hair to the side so he could gain access to her neck. Maybe if he kissed her neck, she’d just hang up on Spencer. “Call him ‘Lassie’? Mr. Spencer, Detective Lassiter is not a dog.” She laughed as he snatched the phone away. “Spencer, I will shoot you if you call me or Alexandra one more time. I mean it.” Lexi laughed and grabbed his tie, pulling him against her. His hands were grabbing her all over, causing her to groan, as her hands worked off his gun holster and his tie. Carlton picked her up and pinned her against the wall, grinding his hips against hers as his hand slid under her shirt. “My bedroom, now,” she moaned as he massaged her breast through her bra. As they entered her bedroom, he pulled off her shirt and gently pushed her on the bed. His eyes, once again, trailed down her figure as he took off his clothes, folding them neatly on the floor. “Really?” She teasingly asked, giving him a sexy smile. “I have to wear these clothes when I leave,” he replied. “I’d rather not have them all wrinkled.” Lexi pretended to debate before throwing two objects at him: her bra and her shorts. It took Lassiter’s brain a second or two to comprehend that she was naked, except for her underwear. He quickly shed everything but his wife beater and his boxers before joining her on the bed. Hungry mouths met, his hands kneaded her breasts and rolled her nipples, causing her to groan his name into his mouth. His mouth left a trail of kisses from her mouth to her earlobe. Her hands trailed up and down his muscular chest before working his wife beater, tossing it onto the floor. It was Carlton’s turn to moan as she started to work his ever-hardening cock. He continued his trail of kisses down her neck, gently nibbled on her collar bone, and paid attention to her breasts individually. His hot tongue flicked over one nipple as his hand caresses the other. He then gave the same treatment to the other breast. He nibbled, kissed and sucked his way back to her mouth, where he met her with a fervent kiss. She pulled back and muttered against his lips, “I swear to God, if you don’t fuck me right now.” “What?” Carlton teased, nibbling on her earlobe. “I don’t know,” she panted, grinding her hips against his erection. “Do you have condoms?” he asked, wanting nothing more than to enter her sweet wetness. She reached into a drawer next to her and pulled out a condom packet. He freed his throbbing erection as he pulled his underwear off. He paused, his hands hovered over her underwear. “We can stop now if you want,” he offered. Last thing Carlton wanted to do would be to take advantage of this young woman. “What part of ‘If you don’t fuck me now’ gave you any sort of hint that I wanted to stop?” Lassiter smiled and pulled off her underwear, revealing a shaved, extremely wet pussy. He maneuvered himself on top of her, the blunt head of his penis at the edge of her opening. As Carlton eased himself into her tight pussy, Lexi moaned and lifted her hips for better access, digging her nails into his back. He started to thrust slowly at first, so she could become acclimated to his size. Not that he thought he was exceptionally thick, she was just so tight, and he didn’t want to hurt her. “So, Lassie,” Lexi said in a husky tone. “Are you just going to tease me or what?” “Did you just call me ‘Lassie’?” He asked, thrusting into her harder then he intended. “So I have to call you ‘Lassie’ for you to actually fuck me with that big dick of yours?” She purred, her hands roaming over his chest and down his back. He started to thrust harder as she dug her nails into his back. Carlton grunted, “Don’t call me ‘Lassie’, Alexandria.” She shot him a lustful glare, “Don’t call me ‘Alexandria’.” He leaned over her so his pelvis rubbed against her clit more; in response, Lexi groaned louder, “Oh Lassie.” “Alexandria,” Carlton panted, pinning her hips down. “Don’t call me that.” She smirked up at him, “Make me L-” She was about to call him ‘Lassie’ again but he cut her off with a heated, fervent kiss. He enjoyed the way she tasted, the way she felt under him, the way she was responsive to whatever he did. His ex-wife was not this responsive to sex, not even when things were well. Lucinda, though responsive, did not torment him like Lexi enjoyed doing. Her panting became faster and more ragged, cluing the Head Detective in that she was near climax. Within a minute or two, her walls squeezed his cock as she climaxed, moaning his first name. He arched his back as he came, releasing a primal grunt deep from his chest. He lay next to her and moved her closer to him, giving her another kiss. “You’re more than welcome to stay the night,” she murmured against his lips. He nodded and watched as she slid out of bed to turn off the light and slid back in. Lexi quickly drifted off to sleep while Carlton lay awake, pondering where their relationship would lead. As he fell asleep, he could feel a sleeping Lexi cuddle up next to him and it didn’t feel that bad. The next morning, Carlton awoke to find the bed empty and his boxers on the bed. The rest of his clothes were folded neatly on her dresser. He pulled on his boxers and undershirt before walking into the kitchen. She was dancing to some ridiculous, horrible pop music while mixing batter. He watched her as he internally debated broaching the subject of a relationship of sorts, nothing romantic quite yet, but something more intimate perhaps? He did enjoy watching her hips shake in those tiny shorts. Carlton lost track of how long he was staring at her, which caused him to blush and look away when she abruptly stopped dancing and making breakfast. He thought she caught him staring at her until his ears picked up on a quiet, high pitched whine from the living room. Lexi put down the bowl, walked into the living room and got down on all fours, her ass in the air. Blood rushed to his groin area and he quickly slipped back into her bedroom and got dressed. The more clothes between us, the better, he thought. He returned to the living room and she was still in the same position. Her dog was looking at her owner and then under the couch, back and forth as if trying to relay some nonverbal message. “Milka, you’re the biggest dummy I’ve ever met,” Lexi playfully chided, rubbing the dog’s head. She reached under the couch, grabbed whatever the dog wanted, and watched as she happily trotted over to Carlton. She then proceeded to bump his leg repeatedly; Carlton looked at Lexi with raised eyebrows. “She wants you to play with her. She doesn’t drop hints very well,” Lexi said as she walked back into the kitchen. “I was going to make pancakes; want some?” He followed her closely, debating whether or not to stay for pancakes. He glanced at the clock and felt a hand on his chest, stopping him. Carlton looked down and found that Lexi was only centimeters away from him. He could tell that under the flimsy material, she wasn’t wearing a bra. He was tempted to reach up and rub circles around her nipple with his thumb, just so she would moan his name again, but thought otherwise. He had to get to work soon and still needed to at least chance his tie. Spencer would be up his ass with questions if he didn’t. He looked into her eyes and sighed, “I have to get to work and I also need to change so Spencer doesn’t bug me all day about wearing the same outfit two days in a row.” “And full of dog hair,” Lexi replied with a smile. He shot a dirty look at the dog, who had resumed bumping him with her toy. “If you ever want to do this again,” she murmured as she pressed herself against him and turned her face up. Her breath tickled his lips. “Let me know. Missionary isn’t the only position to have sex, you know.” She gave him a quick peck on the lips. She walked Carlton to the door and they hugged, saying goodbye. As he got into his car, Carlton smiled, knowing that not even Spencer at his most annoying could ruin his great mood. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ A/N: Thanks for reading! I know it's kinda long for a oneshot, but I couldn't find a good place to end the first chapter. If you want a sequel, let me know! R/R!
