AN: Thanks for the reviews! Just to make sure everything’s clear, I did get
the island idea from Days of our Lives, but this is where the similarities
end. This is not a crossover and the island will only be the tip of the
iceberg.
Captive
Chapter 10
Aisha’s POV
I placed the cool rag back on her forehead after wetting it and ringing it out
again. Adam did the same for Kira. I examined the bump on Kim’s
forehead with an angry stare.
“Did they have to use so much force? They’re lucky that they each don’t
have a concussion,” I said shortly.
“Yeah, but knowing these two, I’m sure they put up one hell of a fight. I
don’t know Kira that well, but from what Tommy has told me, she knows
how to take care of herself,” Adam replied. Kim moaned and rubbed her
eyes.
“Aisha?!” she asked sleepily, as she tried to sit up.
“Easy Kim, you’ve got a pretty bump on your head,” I replied, as I gave her
a hug.
“What’s going on?” she asked.
“Yeah, where are we?” Kira asked, as she woke up as well.
“Just sit and relax and we’ll try to explain what we know,” I replied, as
Adam and I began to tell them our story.

Will’s POV
I groaned in pain, as I pulled myself off the rocky hard ground.
“Is everyone okay?” I called.
“We’re alive if that’s what you mean,” Connor grumbled.
“Man, that fall seemed a lot harder than the first time,” Rocky said.
“The first time? You’ve done that before?” Ethan asked.
“There’s never a dull moment when you’re a power ranger,” Tommy
replied.
“Apparently, there is no longer any dull moments when you’re a former
ranger either,” I quipped.
“No way!” Rocky called. The four of us followed his voice. We came before
a glowing green vortex.
“It’s still here,” Rocky said.
“Talk about deja vu,” Tommy replied.
“Well, there’s definitely something going on. Keep your guard up,” I said,
as I stepped through the vortex. The other four followed me through and
we realized that we were in what was left of the power chamber. It was in
shambles and I felt my stomach lurch a little at the sight.
“Aye yi yi! Intruder alert! Intruder alert!” a very familiar voice began to
sputter.
“Alpha?!” I asked.
“Aye yi yi! Billy!” Alpha exclaimed.
“Alpha, what are you doing here? You’re supposed to be on Eltar,” I
replied.
“Yes, well that’s a very long story,” Alpha replied.
“I will probably be able to explain a little better,” a man said, as he and a
woman approached us.
“Dulcea?!” Rocky exclaimed. Our attention turned back to the man. He was
tall and fairly well built. He had brown hair with gray strands here and
there. His eyes were very wise making it seem that he should look much
older than he did. Those eyes seemed to look through me and suddenly it
hit me like a ton of bricks.
“It can’t be...you’re dead,” I uttered. The man chuckled.
“I assure you, I am very much alive,” he replied.
“Zordon?” Tommy asked in awe.
“Hello Tommy,” he replied.
“But how...the golden wave...” Rocky started rambling.
“I will explain in detail once we have a chance. I’m sure you’re here for the
same reason I am. To see if anything of use is salvageable. I’m afraid
there isn’t,” Zordon said.
“Yes, but we also came here so we could hide our ship in what’s left of the
Zord bay,” Dulcea added. My cell phone rang and I answered seeing that it
was Kat.
“Hey Kat,”
“Will, I think something’s wrong,” she replied. I could hear the panic in her
voice.
“Are you okay?” I asked, panic also creeping up on me.
“I’m fine, but Kim and Kira were supposed to meet me at the mall almost
an hour ago. I tried Kim’s cell, but it just rings and rings. Something’s
wrong,” Kat panicked.
“Okay baby, calm down and then meet us at Rocky’s, okay?” I told her
gently.
“All right, I love you. Please be careful,” she said.
“I will and I love you too,” I replied.
“What’s wrong?” Tommy asked.
“Kim and Kira were supposed to meet Kat at the mall. They never showed
and Kim hasn’t answered her phone,” I replied.
“No...not Kim,” Tommy whispered.
“Come on...we should get back and see if we can find out what happened,”
Rocky replied. I nodded.
“Alpha, return to the ship. Dulcea and I are coming with you,” Zordon said.
I nodded.
“You knew that former rangers were disappearing, didn’t you? That’s part
of why you’re here, right?” I asked.
“Yes Will, but it would be better if I explain later. We should get to
Katherine,” Zordon replied. I nodded in agreement as we left.

“So Zedd is the one behind all this,” Kim concluded.
“Yes, he even faked Rita’s kidnaping just to throw the guys off,” Adam
replied.
“Well it didn’t work. Will and Tommy still thinks he’s up to something,” Kim
replied.
“Good, I’m glad that they are suspicious of him,” Aisha replied.
“Let’s just hope they find out soon before more of us are captured,” Kira
mentioned.

Tommy’s POV
We arrived back at Rocky’s. I jumped out, while Will went straight for
Katherine. She was crying, because of the spectacle on the ground. Kim’s
purse, keys and phone were strewn everywhere. I swallowed the lump in
my throat and anger boiled inside me. I felt Zordon’s hand on my shoulder
and it helped knowing that he was there. He always knew what to do, even
in the darkest times. Zedd or whoever took them was going to pay...
We went inside and I listened partially to the conversation around me.
Zordon and Dulcea were talking with Will and Rocky, while Kat was still in
awe at Zordon being alive. I glanced at Ethan who was also listening to our
mentor and then at Connor. He was unusually quiet and I could tell he was
very worried about Kira.
“Zordon, how did you survive and why didn’t you tell us?” Will asked. That
was a question I was very interested in knowing too.
“I thought when Andros shattered my tube, I would die. But it seems fate
had something different in mind. The essence in my tube was released.
Instead of killing me, the flux of power from Andros spiral saber freed me
from the time warp. The wave of energy also freed Dulcea from her binding
to Phaedos. Alpha and I went to get her, for she is my wife. Then we
returned to Eltar. I felt it best for most to think I was dead so my rangers
could live peaceful lives. But then we got word that former rangers were
disappearing. I was wrong to believe that Zedd and Rita would change. But
now I’m even more concerned that Ryan’s comet is still in existence,”
Zordon said.
“Perhaps, we should take a look at it,” Dulcea suggested.
“Yes and then I believe we should pay a visit to Angel Grove’s esteemed
mayor,” Zordon replied.
“Okay, let’s all go to my observatory at Wolf Tech. Then the mayor is
holding a press conference tonight in front of the Angel Grove fountain,”
Will replied. We agreed and left for Wolf Tech.

We arrived at my observatory and everyone gathered around my high
powered telescope.
“This is impressive William,” Zordon said.
“Thanks Zordon,” I replied gratefully soaking up the praise from our
mentor. I unlaced by fingers from Kat’s. I just now realized that I hadn’t let
go of her since we arrived at Rocky’s. Now that Kim was gone, I was
deeply worried that Katherine and our unborn child would be next. I keyed
into the system and motioned for Zordon to look through after I had
positioned it. He did and the expression on his face became deeply
troubled. I glanced back at the screen and my brows knitted in confusion. I
began typing furiously, hoping the figures I was seeing were wrong.
“Will, what’s wrong?” I heard Kat ask. I stared for a moment and motioned
for Zordon to look at my findings. He sighed gravely.
“What’s going on?” Rocky asked impatiently.
“The comet is changing course. It is now on a collision course with Earth,” I
announced.
“When?” Tommy asked.
“In six months it will collide with Earth,” I replied.
“What are we going to do?” Tanya asked.
“I’ve already sent a message to Andros. We’re going to have to build a
weapon and hope the Astro rangers can use it and destroy the comet,” I
replied.
“It’s getting late. Tomorrow we will start construction on the weapon. Right
now, I would very much like to visit Zedd,” Zordon said. I nodded and we
left for the fountain in downtown Angel Grove where the mayor was holding
a press conference.

When we arrived, Zedd had already begun his speech.
“I’m afraid that we have another issue arising. One more troubling that
even all the disappearances,” Zedd explained, trying to make it seem that
disappearances were all random people when in fact he knew very
differently.
“Our top scientists at Angel Grove University’s observatory have been in
conference with NASADA all afternoon. It’s seems that Ryan’s comet has
been mysteriously knocked off course,”
He paused momentarily before continuing.
“The comet is on a collision course with Earth and will collide with us in six
months,” Zedd announced. The crowd of people swarmed with talk and
panic. I seethed silently.
‘He hasn’t talked with any scientist from Angel Grove. He has his own
means of finding out these things,’ I said to myself. Zedd’s speech was
sending off warning bells in my head. As I looked at Zordon, I could tell that
he too was suspicious of Zedd’s involvement and rapid learning of the
comet situation.
“But fear not Angel Grove! I am meeting with NASADA officials and I will
assure them that the power rangers will destroy the comet and save the
earth. Thank you,” Zedd concluded.
“He’s setting us up to fail,” I said angrily.
“What?” Rocky asked.
“He’s placing the world on our shoulders. If we fail and anyone is hurt or
killed, everyone will blame us,” I replied. Looks of horror covered my
friends and wife’s faces as the pieces began to fall into place.
“You think that Zedd has something to do with the comet’s change in
course?” Ethan asked.
“He may. But even if he doesn’t, he is molding his plans around it,” I
replied.
“I still don’t get it,” Rocky replied.
“Zedd is slowly working toward establishing his empire. And this comet
may help him along much faster than anticipated,” Zordon answered.
“Empire?” Tanya asked in horror.
“Yes, it is what Zedd has always strived for. When he first came to earth,
he wished to annex the earth into his current Xett empire which including a
vast amount of systems. But then he was thwarted by the power rangers
time and time again. He soon became a laughing stock who could not
defeat six teenagers and his empire crumbled. I’m afraid that Zedd is up to
something very dark and disturbing. There is much more going on here
than meets the eye,” Dulcea said. I watched as Kat unconsciously put a
hand to her stomach. I swallowed hard, realizing what kind of world we
could be bringing our children in to.
“We have to find out what’s going on and we have to stop him,” I replied.
We quieted suddenly, as we saw him approaching us.
“Hello Will, I’m sure you were already aware of the comets changed
trajectory before my announcement,” Zedd said.
“Yes, I’ve been tracking it for weeks now,” I replied cooly.
“Who are your friends, I don’t believe that we’ve been introduced,” Zedd
asked.
“Oh but we have Zedd. You know exactly who I am,” Zordon replied.
“So, you and Dulcea survived the wave as well. And it seems that you have
been freed. That’s wonderful,” Zedd replied, though it did not sound like he
was thrilled.
“Yes it is. We’re here to find out what has happened to the former rangers
that have disappeared,” Zordon replied calmly.
“Yes, it’s terrible. My beloved Rita has also disappeared. We shall find the
culprits and get our loved ones back. The Angel Guardians are working
tirelessly on it,” Zedd replied. I glared at him.
“You don’t really think we believe that Rita is actually missing. You know
where they are! We’re not stupid and we know you’re involved!” I said
coldly. Zedd smirked at me and then turned to my wife.
“Congratulations Katherine, you will make a wonderful mother,” he said
with an evil glint in his eye. Kat’s eyes widened in horror, as did mine. I
caught the evil glint in Zedd’s eyes, as he turned and left us, escorted by
his personal guardians.
“How does he know?!” Kat exclaimed. I pulled her into my arms and held
her close, trying to calm the anger inside me. He had just threatened my
family. He hadn’t directly said it, but I knew what he intended to imply by
that statement. My wife and child were in grave danger; that much was
certain...

Zedd’s POV
I entered my office with two of my guardians who were in fact Rito and
Goldar. We stepped into the center of the room and Goldar activated a
switch. A round platform beneath us began to sink into the ground, taking
us deep underground. We finally arrived at the site intended. I looked out
at the vast machines that worked busily creating my army. I watched as
human looking androids dressed in Angel Guardian uniforms trained with
weapons and in hand to hand combat. A beautiful, dark haired woman
approached me and bowed.
“What is the report Scorpina?” I asked.
“We are on schedule my lord. Already, we have ten thousand troops ready
at your disposal. Within two years, we will have one million soldiers ready
to obey your every command,” she reported. I smirked evilly. Finally, I
would rise again and the galaxy would be mine.
“Good work Scorpina, carry on,” I replied.
“Master, what of the rangers. They are getting too close to the truth. We
must eliminate them now,” Goldar said.
“Patience Goldar, by the time the comet is here, we will have all the
rangers as our prisoners. Then no one can interfere with our takeover. But
we must play our cards carefully. If we act too hastily, all my carefully laid
plans will be ruined,” I replied.
“My lord, what of Ivan Ooze. Our intelligence suggests that he is alive and
in control of the comet, thus it’s change in course,” Scorpina said.
“You and Goldar will lead a team of guardians. Take a ship and dock with
the comet. Take the ice weapon that we have been designing. Incapacitate
him and bring him to me. He will not interfere with my plans,” I replied.
“Do you think the ice weapon will be enough?” Goldar asked.
“Oh yes, even Ivan is no match for this kind of technology. It is much more
powerful than what was used to lock him up in the hyperlock chamber.
Once we have him, I will make sure he buried deep away, never to usurp
my power again,” I replied.
“Yes my lord, we will leave at once,” Scorpina replied.

AN: The plot thickens! Can the rangers stop the comet and Zedd’s plans
before it’s too late. More importantly, how can they possibly face an army
of androids?
