Tommy looked at the screen as Haylee sighed, "You've had a miscarriage, and it looks as if you were only a few days along." Adam reached over petting him softly trying to calm him down before the two went to see Lydia. "Adam I'm sorry." he said softly Adam hushed him as he said "Tommy, this was something you couldn't control, and all the hell Riley's put us through over Lydia only made things worse, not mention what you had to see when we came home." Tommy sat up and nodded as he hung his head Adam lifted his chin looking into his eyes as he said "If your worried about me being angry, there's no way I could be, this just wasn't the right time for us. It will be soon and when it is, I will sleep with my hand on your stomach every night. When our baby is born, you could break every bone in my hands yell anything you want and I will not care." Tommy blushed as Adam met him for a kiss as he said, "Let's go see our girl"

Lydia had finally come home, Adam watched as Tommy sat in the floor by the couch Tommy had nodded off watching Lydia, Adam gently nudged him as he open his eyes. "Go lay down sweetheart." Tommy smiled as Adam helped him up as he said softly resting his head on Adam's shoulder "I didn't mean to fall to sleep." Adam only chuckled as petted the curly locks at he added "It's been on hell of a week all three of us are drained, I say we turn the phone off and just let there be just the three of us. For the rest of the weekend" Tommy smiled as he and Adam sat down at the love seat as he said, "We should head up to the mountains for that." Adam smiled as he raked his fingers through Tommy's hair. "If only we could, that lawyer is supposed to come by later and Lydia's Tutor is coming at three." Tommy moaned as he felt a kiss on his forehead, "Anton may seem cold and quite but he has a huge heart." Adam nodded as he said, "I remember him paying for my hospital bill and therapy sessions out of the money his father gave him to start his company."  "Yep, and his dad turn around and gave it right back to him when he found out what it had been used for."

Adam chuckled, as there was a knock at the door, Tommy groaned as he got up to answer it. "Cassidy is that you? Oh My God what are you doing out here!" He said as the former student who giggled, and answered, "I'm the specialist for Lydia." Tommy welcomed her in; Cassidy introduced herself to Adam as Tommy nudged Lydia awake. Lydia rubbed her eyes as Tommy only petted her as Cassidy came and sat down "You must be Lydia, I'm Cassidy I'm the specialist who's her to take care of your blisters. Which look good from your previous pictures I have seen? Quite a few have gone down this large one on your cheek may leave a hairline scar." Cassidy said gently turning Lydia's head.  "How visible will that be?" Lydia asked as Cassidy lay a small towel in her lap setting a bag besides her unzipping it. As she said, "Unless someone is literally right at your face like I am, they won't see it. Or by the way this looks it may not leave a scar at all."  Cassidy reached in to her bag as she said, "I need you to hold still, I'm going drain these spots and snip away the skin from where there drained, keep something on these at all times. I also have an ointment to help care for them and it doubles as a primer incase you like to wear make up."

Cassidy pulled  scalpel from her bag going to the bottom of the blisters making a light cut, picking up the towel Cassidy placed it under the first blister lightly pressing it to help it drain, she used her finger the help guide any remainder of the fluid and delicately snipped the thin layer of skin separated from the previous layer. Cassidy picked up the small tube of Neosporin applying it quickly; she wiped it off going for a small one following the same procedure. When she finished she looked at the large one across Lydia's cheek that extended from a small creased at her nose back to almost her ear.

"This one might be painful Lydia; do you want your dad?" Cassidy asked as she nodded.

"Dr. Oliver does you and Mr. Park wants to come help her?" Tommy came over holding his daughter at his side as Adam knelt down in front of Lydia, taking her hand. "Alright, hold completely still." Cassidy said as she began making light incisions along the bottom of the large blister.  She let it start draining as she lightly pressed on it, as she said "Alright here comes the uncomfortable part, I'm going to start cutting away at this one, the reason why I said this on my hurt is because this one didn't bubble up as much as the other two. So I don't have a lot of extra space, so the scissors may scrap this skin underneath, I will try as hard as I can not to do that."  Lydia nodded as she gripped Adam's hand; he stoked her hand tenderly watching Cassidy snip away at the blister. Lydia hissed as the scissors lightly scrape the already sensitive skin underneath "I'm sorry I know that hurt, I'm close to being done ok?"  Lydia nodded as Tommy petted her, Cassidy carefully began snipping again. Cassidy smiled as she said, "Ok that's it, just keep plenty of Neosporin on it and give the little ones a week, the one on your cheek could take two to two and a half weeks, maybe three."

"Thank you Cassidy." Adam said as Tommy walked her out to her car. Once out side he asked, "How's Devon?" Cassidy sighed as she said, "He's doing well, and Dr. Starr is working with us on his reconstructive surgery." Cassidy reached in her purse handing her old science teacher a picture of the man in question. "My god, how much of his body was burned?" Tommy said watching the young woman look down so he could not see her cry. "65%, they said it should have killed him."  Cassidy said handing him another picture of a sonogram. Tommy only smiled as he said, "Congratulations, he's thrilled I'm sure."

Cassidy cracked a smile "Beyond thrilled."  Tommy chuckled as Cassidy glanced up. "His grandpa passed away from cancer not long after the fire took his house. Devon adored that man, he always tells me about how as a kid he loved to listen to his grandpa tells stories of how he grew up and all the things he and his friends used to do. The places they would go, our first date was with his Grandparents. The same way his grandparents had their first date with his grandparents parents." Tommy reached over rubbing Cassidy's back as he said "I should let you go home, I'm sure he's can't wait to see you." Cassidy nodded as she reached up for a hug as she said "Thank you Dr. Oliver." Tommy nodded as he headed back in listening to Cassidy drive away.

"Miss Park, what was your reaction to Mr. McKnight's actions to your parents' marriage."

Her lawyer asked as she replied

"I was surprised, I was sure he knew, he had been in the room when my parents had kissed before, I didn't understand why this was any different the only thing different was an exchange of vows."

"How did that make you feel?"

"Betrayed, Here is my best friend who's been around my gay parents for the last 3 years, seen the way they act together seen them kiss and suddenly because they get married, he hates them and myself?" Tommy gave a light smile, Lydia had not rehearsed anything, and he rested his hand on Adam's who gave him the same smile, as Riley's lawyer approached her.

"Miss Park, Is it true that one of your parents is biologically linked to you?"

"Yes Tommy Oliver is my biological father."

"May I ask you where your mother is?"

"My mother and stepfather were murdered when I was three, my stepfathers parents took me before my father had the right to claim me."

"Why did it take 11 years for your father to find you?"

"I don't know. He never told me."

"No further questions."

"You may step down" Lydia nodded as she went back to set down next to her parents, Tommy not liking the family questions. He reached over rubbing her back, trying to hide his nerves. Tommy swallowed hard when he called to the stand, He sat down after swearing in, and Riley's Lawyer approached him.

"Dr. Oliver, why did it take you 11 years to find your daughter?"

"I had tried to find her on my own but with out the proper last names to Rita's in-laws I had no way to find her."

"Proper last names Dr. Oliver?"

"Zed's last name was Garrett, I found Lydia under the last name Morgan."

"But the family wasn't biologically related to Lydia once she was tested."

"Correct"

"You said you tried to find Lydia on your own, Dr. Oliver did you receive help to find your daughter?"

"Yes, A gentleman I knew from high school works for the FBI and offered his help, I was grateful."

"Dr Oliver, You were very young when you welcomed your daughter, yet Mr. & Mrs. Garrett were much older than you. So you helped Ms Garrett cheat on her husband?" Tommy felt his throat start swelling up; he struggled to find the right words. As Lydia's Lawyer Isaac House tried to intervene,

"Objection your honor, councilor is badgering the witness."

"Overruled, please answer the question Dr. Oliver."

"No, I was a Surrogate, Mr. Garrett was sterile and Mrs. Garrett couldn't carry her own child and with a family friend's son being a hermaphrodite. I had Lydia myself." Tommy felt his cheeks burn he could not believe he had partially admitted one of his darkest secrets.

"Mr. Oliver, what do you take me for a fool?"

"Personally, Yes I do."

"You're Honor. . ." Angry Tommy cut off the annoying lawyer.

"This case is not about how Lydia came into my life or how my husband and I got her back but about a boy who attempted to take my job due to my sexual preference, assaulted and attempted to rape my child." The tension in room seem to intensify as Tommy added "I Believe you were already asked once to stay on track by Judge Skullovich, do so or admit you don't have a case."

"I object your honor!"

"Overruled"

"You're Honor!"

"Councilor Harrison you have been asked more than once to stay on track with this case, if you can't I will consider your side of the case null and void and your client will be found guilty."

"No more questions your honor."

"Any questions Councilor House?"

"No questions"

"You may step down Dr. Oliver, and though I applaud your bravery for the truth, don't ever do that in my courtroom again."  Tommy nodded as he sat down next to Adam who rubbed his arm as he whispered, "I cannot believe I just did that."  Skull looked up noticing Tommy in a slight distress as he said, "15 minute recessed to allow some of us to process the information we have received, Verdict when we return." The group began to talk as Isaac came back to Tommy asking, "Why didn't you share this information about being a surrogate?" "I didn't know she would start asking questions about family. My family life shouldn't be on the stand."

"Tommy?" He heard and look over at skull who motioned him to his chambers, Tommy followed him once the door was closed he asked, "When did you find out about your condition?"  Tommy sighed, "Right before moving to Angel Grove, Blood Poisoning, when did you go into the judicial system?" Tommy asked sitting down. Skull sighed as poured himself a cup of coffee and said "After my dad was attacked and left paralyzed from the waist down, the guy who did it got away with it, all the evidence was stacked against the bastard."

"Sort of how it is with Riley and Lydia?" Tommy said, as Skull nodded as he added, "When I read this case file, I knew that if I brought a jury in it would end up like my dads case, and Riley would walk away. I'm not letting that happen to someone else." Tommy gave a nod as Skull asked, "Did you really have Lydia yourself?" Tommy chuckled as he nodded, and said, "It's a long story, but yes I did." Skull cracked a smile "Must have hurt like hell." Tommy nodded "From what I remember, I blacked out after she was born." Skull sighed as he said, "I know I wasn't the nicest guy to you in school and I'm sorry for that"

"We were kids Skull maturity doesn't really kick in till after high school" Tommy said "I Better let you get back to Lydia and Adam, Thanks for getting to talk with me." Tommy got up shaking his hand. He stepped out to an empty courtroom, walking out into the hallway. "Hey!" Adam said "Geez!" Tommy jumped half expecting him to be outside Adam laughed as Tommy tries to catch his breath saying, "I'd like to live to see my next birthday!" Adam rested his hand on Tommy's back as he said "Well at least you don't have very long for that" Tommy rolled his eyes as he said "Smartass" Adam chuckled saying with a smile "Isn't that why you married me?"

"Councilor Harrison, I have not seen a shred of evidence proving your client is innocent, physical or from witnesses, therefore why on earth did you enter a court case without any? Mr. McKnight, What or do you have anything to say for yourself?" Riley stood there silent as Skull continued, "Very Well, Mr. McKnight, I find you guilty of one count of a hate crime, attempted rape, assault and battery with intent to kill. And you're sentenced to 15 years in prison, get him out of here." a clamor came from most of the McKnight's accept for Connor who tried to hide his grin.

"WAIT!" Lydia said Tommy surprised at his daughter as she got up the courtroom quieted as she said, "I'd like to say something to Riley before he's taken." Skull nodded and gestured to her former best friend.

"I had liked you Riley, Thanks for screwing up and showing me I would have been wasting my time." Lydia smiled as she walked back to her parents taking Tommy by his hand as Adam hugged her, they walked out heading home and back to a normal life.
