What had he been doing? Julian went to the door and opened it. The forcefield held in place.
“DAMN YOU, GARAK. DAMN YOU!”
Was he drunk? If he was...he could just sleep it off.
Julian stomped back to the living room, grabbing the bag from the sofa. He dug through the contents removing a flox coupler.
“YOUR DAMN CARDASSIAN EVASIVENESS!”
Screw the engineering extension courses. He hammered the tool violently against the wires behind the access panel, pulling them all out with the pointy parts on the end of the tool. If Garak was in danger or seriously injured or ill, there was no time to be goofing around with carefulness.
The forcefield hissed and went down.
Julian leaped the steps and went to Garak, dropping to his knees at the other man's side. He turned Garak over, placing his head in his lap.
Garak did not respond.
“Garak? GARAK!” he shook the Cardassian.
Garak rested with his eyes closed. He was breathing shallowly through an open mouth. His normally neat hair was fanned around his head. His breath rose in steamy smoke clouds.
Julian pressed his hand to Garak's face. His skin was chilled. It felt as if he had stuck his head in a freezer. Julian shivered. He slapped the Cardassian's face a little to try to bring him around.
Garak's cheek barely darkened to its usual shade of grey. He lowered the Cardassian's head to the ground, and moved to his side.
Julian wrapped his arms around Garak, hoisting him up.
“If you live through this, Garak, I am going to hurt you. For worrying me this much a second time!”
Garak hung limp and quiet in Julian's arms. Julian bent down and levered Garak onto his shoulders, pushing him up.
“You know it gets cold for you at night, and you risked hypothermia. You idiot. Cleverest agent of the Obsidian Order.”
Julian placed him carefully on the floor, leaning him against the wall. He grabbed Garak's bag, dumping the contents again. He took up the medical tricorder, scanning Garak.
His heartbeat had slowed, and his metabolic rate was almost non existent. Was he dying? The man felt like he had been in a cryogenic chamber.
Julian dragged him upstairs, by wrapping his arms under the Cardassian's. He would get some thermal blankets and use his own body heat. Maybe warming Garak up was the answer. Cardassian's were from reptilian ancestors, similar to a cross between a serpent and a crocodile if he remembered correctly.
Once in the bedroom, Julian stripped Garak and tossed the covers over him.
“Garak, you are going to tell me what has entered into your clever little mind. And I will have the truth, if I have to WRING it out of you.”
Garak mumbled something, pressing his cheek closer to the warmth of the other man. He smacked his lips, sliding a hand over Julian's chest.
Julian pressed his fingers to the cranial artery. Garak's pulse was very slow, only fifteen beats per minute. He dug through the drawers built into the walls, pulling out two thermal blankets and a Tarkaalean wool blanket.
Julian pulled off his shirt and trousers, tossing them haplessly on the chair. He crawled into the bed, tugging the covers around him. He wiggled up against Garak, draping himself over the cold, scaly body.
Garak mumbled, lifting his arms to squeeze Julian. He licked his lips.
Julian shifted in the tightening arms. The last time he was so close to Garak, they were wrestling during his withdrawal after turning off his implant. He had soon collapsed in pain. He looked so peaceful here, by comparison, as if he were in a very deep sleep from which he would soon rouse. His muscles were a little tense as if he were prepared to pounce, but sensed no threat.
He slid his hands over the Cardassian's neck ridges, rubbing vigorously to bring blood to the surface. They steadily turned a purplish black and softened. The new scales were still shiny and rather soft, and Julian could not resist rubbing them in circles with the pad of a finger. He was not sure if he would get a chance to do this again soon, and the scales were so fascinating. Plus heating the blood would help.
Garak moaned, and kicked his legs. He arched his hips, hissing and rumbling.
Julian slid his hands under the blankets, rubbing the clavicular ridges and the spoon indentation where they converged. They darkened to the same purplish black, and Julian moved to massage the ridges on Garak's arms and the heavy scales on the outsides of his thighs.
Garak hissed, opening his eyes reflexively. His hips bucked as Julian returned to rubbing his neck ridges. He sighed as he began everting. He turned to press to Julian. He pressed his erection to the doctor's hip, stroking Julian's thighs, stomach, chest, and neck in his hazy state.
“Are you alright?” Julian asked, pushing back the damp strands of hair from the ridged forehead. He pressed a hand to the artery and felt that Garak's heartbeat was back up where it should be.
Garak's eyes closed as Julian withdrew his hands from the neck ridges.
Julian checked Garak over, noticing his pulse and breathing were normal and his skin was warm to the touch now. He pulled back, rolling away to leave the bed.
Garak twisted, draping an arm around Julian with a soft rumble in his chest. His muscles were taut as his hands slid possessively over the human's pectorals and abdomen.
Julian wriggled, trying to escape the hold. The caress was so soft and careful and distracting. He gently moved the limbs of the Cardassian.
Garak tightened the hold, and the pitch of his growl raised to almost a whine and deepened in succession.
Julian gasped as he was tugged back and a leg was draped over him. He blushed as he felt something long and stiff press into his backside.
Was Garak? Oh, he had not meant to do that...the Cardassian would expect something. He had said as much. He closed his eyes for a moment to center his thoughts.
Julian shifted. He had never been so close to a sexually aroused male knowingly...and had never set out to cause such a situation. And it was slick already...probably some natural lubricant to ease it as it slid from the sheath. He tried to shift his legs away from Garak, but all he managed to do was trap the slick erection between his thighs.
Garak pressed forward, half sighing and half hissing. A hand rose and gripped the nape of Julian's neck. It massaged slowly to relax the human.
Julian's whole body flushed in embarrassment. This should not be this...okay...it was highly irregular. But really, he gave a physical to almost everyone on DS9 yearly. He studied medicine. He had performed countless surgeries, examining the internal and external organs of countless species...but he was not naked during those examinations. He was not in a bed with the patient, a man who had been shamelessly flirting with him and parading him around on leash. And he certainly never allowed an examination to arouse him. He was supposed to help people.
A ridged nose leaned forward and sniffed his hair, settling in the crook of his neck. The hum Garak emitted was softer, and he pressed his chest to Julian's back.
Julian sighed, leaning back as Garak shifted.
