Chapter XV
Garak sniffed the air as he woke with a few pale rays of the Cardassian sun shining on his face. He did not open his eyes. He pressed closer to the warmth in front of him, sliding his hands over the slightly sweaty form with a hiss.
His eyes popped open. He had a mate waiting for him. No one had ever stayed with him during this situation before. He tugged Julian close to him, crawling on top of the human. He lifted up on his knees for a moment, gently turning Julian to rest face-up. He pushed a knee between the human's legs, settling between them. He braced his arms on the bed to support his weight as he arched against the soft golden skin. The companion was sleeping so softly. He had been so good to get Garak in out of the cold last night. He had stayed close to him. He wanted him. Garak sniffed the air again, breathing in the musky scent of the human's arousal. If he had only asked, it would have been so much simpler. Garak had no intention of pursuing another sexual partner, not when one so lovely had come from the stars to be with him. He had been forbidden to see the only other person with whom he had been trying to form a relationship. That was perhaps for the best. The doctor had clearly indicated that he wanted this. Garak hissed, taking the soft hands and kissing Julian's palms. They had been so good when they massaged his ridges. He had a soft touch. Garak placed the palms on his neck ridges. Humans must flirt by playing at not wanting a partner. What bizarrely contrary behavior. The openness of letting one's feelings out in a shouting match that woke up half a city was definitely preferable. Everyone knew that the partner was taken that way. Julian shifted, arching his body toward the sweet touches above him. He licked his lips and moaned. He tightened his hands. Garak hissed, sliding his hands firmly over Julian and pulling their hips together. He hummed softly, kissing where chin ridges would be if Julian were Cardassian. His mate was aroused. He would need to proceed slowly. “Ezri...” Julian moaned, pressing closer to the warm hands...warm? Trills had cold hands. “Elim,” Garak whispered back, and he gave the doctor a soft shake to rouse him. This Ezri would need to be taken care of...but that could wait. Julian opened his eyes as a hand cupped the side of his neck and a warm thumb brushed over his pulse. “Garak...what are you doing?” Kisses powdered the other side of his neck and face as the ridged nose nudged his jaw. He moved his hands up and down over the ridges. The human wanted him. Well, this was the perfect way to wake the perverse little tease. Julian trembled as he felt Garak's slick heat press against his own morning erection. He bit his lip and forced himself not to press closer. This was Garak...he...wow. Julian tilted his head at the soft nips to his shoulders. He squeezed the ridges at the base of Garak's neck reflexively. He rubbed them, pressing his neck closer to Garak's lips. Garak hissed softly, kissing over Julian's throat. He slid his hands down to rub the human's hips and pull them tighter to his provocatively. “What is going on?” Julian asked, forcing his brain to function and try to combat the onslaught. This should not feel so good. Garak smirked against the human's throat. What a delightful game. But Julian was going to lose this time. He was just about done with the silly protestations. The pretty creature would beg for his touch, and he would receive it on Garak's terms. “Like you need an explanation. The situation is quite elementary, Doctor.” Garak slipped kisses into soft pauses between words. He pressed his lips softly to Julian's pulse point, sliding a hand around to squeeze the doctor's delicious backside. “Garak, what are you doing?” Julian pressed forward to try to get away from the hand. Garak thrust his hips forward a little, rocking against the soft body. So soft. “You could have asked and saved your obfuscations for more worthy times and situations.” Garak hissed. He moved his hands over the soft back. Julian wriggled, and pushed at Garak's chest. Something was wrong with the Cardassian, but he did not know what it was. He was not himself. Maybe the cold had fried his systems. His endocrine functions had been slightly elevated...maybe... “Garak, you need to let me check you over. You were subjected to extreme cold last night. You might need immediate attention.” Julian growled, flipping them. Several blankets fell to the floor. Julian leaned in close to Garak's neck for a moment as a leathery finger teased the cleft of his ass. “I'm sure I was, and I do. That is why you are here, my dear,” Garak said, moving his hands over the doctor's back. “I will be as gentle as I can. When you are prepared for me, I will top. But as this is our first time, I will indulge you.” Garak pulled the doctor's hips, grinding them to his own as he teased the opening he found. “We Cardassians are generous lovers as you are soon to learn.” “Garak, I don't...” Julian's voice faded to a moan as the talented hands moved up his sides to his shoulders. He tried to lift off Garak and was pulled down as a leathery hand caught the nape of his neck. Julian moaned when he was chest to chest with the other man. He pressed down at the strength he felt. “I don't want this to stop either,” Garak said, leaning up to press his lips to the corner of Julian's mouth. “You have...nothing...to worry about.” Garak kissed along the doctor's jaw before flipping them so Julian was under him again. In time, the man might be allowed more varieties of pleasure. “What's going on, Garak?” Julian wriggled, twisting as he felt Garak dig his knees into the mattress next to his hips to prevent further changes of position. He flung an arm up to have Garak catch it. “Why don't we talk about this?” “Actions are better at a time like this.” Garak asked, sliding a hand to press against Julian's throat. “They can be so much more moving than words. Though this conversation is exciting.” “What are you talking about?” Julian asked, not moving as the fingers rubbed. This was no position in which to fight Garak. Garak could break his neck in one point two seconds if his calculations were...Julian turned his head more to the left, exposing his neck to the sweet lips. He should...should...he moaned. “Use your imagination.” “Garak, stop and tell me what is going on.” This was so much...even with the help of his accelerated neural pathway development. Julian wrapped his arms around Garak's neck, rubbing the backs of the neck ridges and trying to press closer. He kissed his lips over the ridge, kissing the third and six scales with moans. Julian pulled back with effort, trying to lose contact with the Cardassian. If he could escape Garak's touch...he might have a chance to check him over. And he...Julian pushed Garak...he needed to be able to think...and Garak was not helping. “Nothing that you can't help with.” Garak said, unwinding Julian's arms as his hips began to thrust. It would not do to orgasm before his consort. It would be tacky and discourage further interludes. “You brought me in here, put me in bed, aroused me, and stayed close to me, you flirt.” Garak kissed the center of each palm and placed the hands on his chest where they would cause less stimulation. Julian pushed, avoiding the clavicular ridges. “Your metabolism slowed. Your heartbeat dropped. Your limbs chilled. And you are going to tell me that your arousal is the most pressing need to take care of?” “I assume you've been touching things that aren't yours. Lucky you are that I will only count the tricorder as being such. Did you scan me?” Garak pressed a lingering kiss to the side of Julian's chin. “I was concerned.” Julian said, sighing as Garak lifted back to look him in the face. “I can forgive it in this case. You're a compassionate creature, Doctor. I don't understand it, but it certainly will prove pleasant for me. Assuming you're as attentive a bedmate as you are a doctor.” Garak stroked Julian's neck. “So lovely. Cardassians are extremely loyal companions in these situations. I assure you that I won't let you go...but I may give you release.” “Please, I want to be sure you are okay.” “And then I may enjoy you?” Garak asked, petting Julian's hair. It was so soft and fine, and it smelled good, sweet and clean. “I do not want...” Garak nipped Julian's clavicle sharply. Julian leaned up against Garak, wrapping his arms around the other man's neck. “Don't be so vexing, Doctor. You stayed close to me so you would be the first mate I encountered after waking.” Garak rubbed Julian's back, punctuating his sentences with kisses to Julian's jawline. Julian pulled back. He was not going to be seduced. This was Garak. He would not...Garak was... No matter how...Julian bit his lip to stifle a groan. Garak was...very good at what he was doing. No. No. “Garak, I was concerned. You grabbed me. You're not being f-fair.” Julian pushed at Garak again. Garak was thoroughly distracting. He should not feel so...he would be going home soon. Garak would be exiled for whatever the hell had earned him the exile. Then Garak would find him when he ended up on the old Cardassian station. Garak could be hurt by this. Julian flipped them over, sending another thermal blanket to the floor. “Human flirtation is so strange.” Garak lifted up, pulling the doctor to a sitting position. He would talk his way closer to the vexing man. That was how to attract someone... “We've not been flirting.” Julian said, staring over Garak's shoulder at the doorway to the bathroom. “We are nude in bed, and you proclaim there is nothing between us.” Garak sat up, kissing across the pectorals and pausing to suck on the sweet little nubs he found. “Nothing but you, Master,” Julian stared at the leathery Cardassian neck, wondering what it would be like to press his face...those thoughts be damned. Garak needed to be scanned. His voice cracked as he forced the thought away, “almost dying of hypothermia.” Garak laughed as he fell back on the pillow sliding a hand to Julian's stomach and around on the tops of his thighs. “Cardassians do not suffer hypothermia, Doctor.” “Your metabolism had virtually stopped. Your temperature was at fifteen degrees Celsius. Your heartrate was dropping to close to ten beats per minute. The only out of place trait is that the function of several endocrine glands were operating at a slightly increased rate. But it was not so much more than when I have usually read them...on the rare occasions I forced you to be treated or you allowed it! What would your diagnosis be?” “I was entering the night brumatory state, due to wandering too far and allowing my temperature to fall too low during my planning. Initially, the cold heightens the senses and brain activity and causes slight aggressive tendencies. I assure you that it is not serious. My body was preparing for the morning.” Garak said, tracing his fingers over Julian's pectorals. “Brumatory state?” Garak sighed. “We are cuddled together in bed, and you want to talk about Cardassian physiology?” “I would like to scan you to be sure you are as okay as you say you are.” “Fine,” Garak hissed, pushing Julian off. He eyed the human's erection. His mate still needed satisfying. He would not leave the room till he was. “But then I get something I want.” “If you are as healthy as you say,” Julian said. Garak was surely lying about the whole brumation nonsense. What utter rubbish. In studying ninety-seven species of humanoids and non-humanoids, he had never heard of such. “And you are not having just anything that you want.” “Cardassians are most amorous in the morning, Doctor. I must express my gratitude for your care of myself."
