David was thoroughly confused when we was awoken the next day by a hyper-active child bouncing on his bed "Daddy! Daddy wake up!" Emma demands, still bouncing. David lets out a quiet groan and grabs her round the waist to hold her still.
"Emma? How old are you?" He asks groggily, holding the wriggling child. Emma grins brightly as she keeps trying to bounce.
"Six! Daddy wake up! It's time for breakfast!" She demands and she keeps wriggling to bounce. David groans again and sits up.
"Alright, Alright I'm awake. What do you want for Breakfast Emma?" She grins and continues to wriggle.
"Waffles an' pancakes an' bacon an' eggs an' sausage an' toast an' cereal an' beans an' mushrooms an' tomatoes an'..." David chuckles
"Alright, alright, we'll go to Granny's for breakfast okay?" Emma nods, grinning brightly before glancing down at David's shirt that she's still wearing.
"Uh... I kinda need clothes..." She says, stilling for a moment. David nods and things.
"I'll lend you another shirt for a dress and we'll buy you some clothes on the way to Granny's." Emma grins brightly and bounces again, nodding happily
"Jean's an' t-shirts yeah? No dresses?" She checks, biting her lip as she stares. David nods with a chuckle.
"No dresses." He laughs "You don't change no matter your age." He says, standing and swooping her up easily, depositing her on his shoulders. She squeals happily and clings to his head.
"Look! Look Daddy I'm tall!" She exclaims happily, using his head as a drum. David can't help the bright grin at his daughters excitement as he carries her through into the other room and hands her a T-shirt.
"Here you go Emma, you get changed while I get dressed and then we'll go get breakfast." Emma nods with a grin and David leaves the room to allow her to change.
Half an hour later the two of them are seated in the Diner, Emma in jeans and a button up shirt as she digs into pancakes and waffles happily. David watches his daughter as he sips his coffee, biting his lip.
"Emma I have to take you back to your Mom when you've eaten, you know that?" Emma frowns and David sighs.
"I guess we could go to the park first though." He relents at the little blondes expression. Emma grins brightly and digs back into her plate and David sighs, pulling out his phone and texting Snow to let her know that Emma would be spending the day with him.By the time Emma got home, she was fast asleep and being carried by an exhausted David, who handed her over to Snow reluctantly.
Snow sighed in relief at having her baby back, having spent the entire day in worry. David bit his lip "I think we need to talk..."
