The next thing Liam became aware of was severe pain around his arms and torso. He didn’t know how long he was out, but long enough for the silver chains to do quite a bit of damage. He’d made a huge mistake agreeing to this. His eyes fluttered open and he straightened up. “Welcome back,” John’s voice was cold and uncaring.
“Please untie me,” Liam begged. “This really hurts, and I haven’t done anything to you.”
“No. For one, your a vampire. And two, you meddled in my family. Three, like I’ve said before, I don’t trust you.”
Liam’s head was swimming from the dead man’s blood, but behind the pain and sickness that was at the forefront of his mind was the feeling that Dean knew what was happening and was livid. This was only going to cause more trouble. “I didn’t meddle in your family,” he argued. “All I was trying to do was get my humanity back. The rest just happened.”
John shot him a glare. “If you don’t shut the hell up I’m gonna pull over and stab you again. Nothing you can possibly say is gonna get me to untie you. The ride was going great until you woke up and started yapping. You’re cargo I’m transporting, and cargo isn’t supposed to talk, got it?”
Liam gave a little whimper and nodded. “Got it.”
John only saw him as a thing and not a conscious being with feelings. The vampire’s body was shaking from the pain, but he tried not to concentrate on it. Actually he kind of wished John would stab him again and send him back into oblivion. It would’ve been kinder. That may have been why the hunter didn’t do it.
Liam began to really miss even the rough days with Sam and Dean. Even in the beginning when they’d just met and there was very little trust between them the brothers hadn’t hurt him. How could good men like that have come from the cruel man beside him? It didn’t make any sense. He was glad Sam and Dean had turned out the way they did though.
He silently watched the scenery go by. There was nothing he could do. It was a four day trip to Memphis, unless of course they drove during the day too. Liam hadn’t brought the blanket with him, so if John didn’t stop before the sun came up… The vampire whimpered and shuddered at the thought. The man was unfeeling when it came to him, but would he really be that cruel? Liam didn’t know and that really scared him.
They didn’t stop anywhere all night. The answer to Liam’s question came when John pulled into a motel. They were going to stop for the day. John got out, leaving Liam alone while he went to go get the room. He came back a little while later, pulling the door open and yanking Liam out of the seat. He pushed the vampire into the room and roughly shoved him onto a bed. “Will you at least untie me so I can sleep?” Liam asked.
“Yeah, I’m gonna let a vampire loose in my motel room just before I go to sleep,” John answered sarcastically. “But, I’ll help you get to sleep.” He pulled a jar of dead man’s blood out of his bag and dipped his knife in it before stabbing Liam again in the side. Seconds later it was lights out.
Liam came to again sometime during the day. The pain had intensified to a noticeable degree, and was the worst he’d ever felt in his life, including being changed into a vampire. John was snoring in the bed next to him. He tried to squirm and get free. If he could somehow get away from John, he could go to Memphis himself and wait. It was of no use though. When it came to tying up a vampire John knew what he was doing. The chains were too tight to wriggle free from. He was really and truly stuck like this until they reached Memphis.
All he could do was stare at the ceiling until John woke. His eyes might have slipped closed in exhaustion once or twice, and he may even have dozed some, but it wasn’t enough. John went about his morning routine and started packing things up as the sun went down. “Up you come,” John said as he pulled him to his feet. “Time to go.”
“Wait, I need blood first,” Liam reminded him. Because of all the damage done by the burning and the poisoning he was extremely thirsty.
“You’re not getting any, so suck it up,” John growled as he pushed the vampire back to the truck and helped him in.
The next three nights went much the same. The chains stayed on and the pain kept getting worse. His skin turned black and charred where it was touched. His only relief from it came when John dosed him with dead man’s blood by stabbing him. That was a double edged sword because each new stab wound turned crimson red and also stung like a bitch. Damage was continuously being inflicted and he wasn’t getting any blood so his body wasn’t healing. Dean called his father several times, but the man didn’t answer. The bond between Liam and Dean grew very weak while the vampire felt himself slipping away slowly. He had to concentrate hard on Dean to feel him.
It was near three in the morning when they finally pulled into the professor’s driveway. John got out and headed over the passenger side where Liam was slumped over. With one hand he yanked the vampire out of his truck and grabbed Liam’s bag with the other. Liam moved mechanically as they made their way to the door. John knocked, and when Natalie answered he roughly shoved Liam into the house causing the vampire to stumble and fall to the floor with a loud thud. John tossed Liam’s bag, then went back to his truck to get the cooler. “One live vampire, delivered as promised,” he said gruffly.
“Thanks,” Natalie said curtly, taking the cooler and slamming the door in the man’s face. Then she rushed to Liam’s side and frantically started ripping the chains off him. “Oh, god, Liam, what did he do to you?”
She flipped him over on his back, quickly grabbing a bag of blood and ripping it open. She propped his head up in her lap and fed it to him. Two more bags were given for good measure. “Can you move?” she asked softly.
“I think so,” Liam nodded.
Natalie helped him to his feet and grabbed his bag, leading him upstairs to the room he’d stayed in before. After she helped him get undressed and get into bed she called Dean to tell him Liam was with her now and safe again.
Liam passed out and didn’t wake until the next night. He was still in absolute agony, but the blood and rest had made him a bit stronger. Eager to hear Dean’s voice again, he dialed Sam’s number because that was the only one he had. The call was picked up after a few rings. “Hey, babe,” Dean’s voice was on the other end.
“I miss you.”
“I miss you too. Can I please just fucking shoot my father next time I see him?”
Liam chuckled at the request. “Maybe a few times in non vital places.”
“Done. Hey listen, I can’t talk long because we’re in Georgia now, and we’re about to go rob the rich bastard who has the lightning shard thing. We’ll be there sometime tomorrow and we can make up for lost time. For now, just rest and drink lots of blood. I want you healed up before we do the ritual. And be careful, something tells me my dad may still be hanging around and might try something.”
“I’ll be good,” Liam assured Dean. “I love you.”
“Love you too. Bye.”
Dean hung up and Liam sighed. The vampire dug out his phone charger, plugging his phone in and leaving it to charge. Then he ventured downstairs and found Natalie in the kitchen making herself some pasta. She turned to him when he entered, giving him a warm smile. “You look better, but still like shit.”
“I feel like shit,” Liam answered as he sat himself at the table.
Natalie joined him, popping a bite of her pasta into her mouth. “So, I heard things were going well between you and Dean now.”
“Yeah, we’re bonded now,” Liam gave a small smile. “His shell was very difficult to crack, but now that I finally did, he’s a very warm and loving person.”
“Good,” Natalie said as she took a sip of her wine. “I knew all the two of you needed was a little time and patience. I’m glad you were able to crack that shell. You both deserve each other and all the happiness in the world.”
“Yeah,” Liam sighed. “But if John has his way I’ll be dead and never able to touch his son again. Dean wants me to be careful because he thinks his dad may still be around.”
“I agree. It doesn’t seem like that asshole will stop until he gets exactly what he wants. You should be safe here though as long as you don’t venture outside. We stocked up on blood in case you were running low.”
Liam nodded. “Thanks. I’ll leave you to your meal then.”
The vampire wandered the house, eventually finding the library. There were so many books, and most of them were about supernatural things. It was no wonder Patrick had been able to help them. While Liam was a free spirit that wanted to venture out, he also knew he was in no shape to deal with anything he might find out there, especially John if Dean and Natalie were right. Instead he entertained himself with reading the professor’s books most of the night. Then he retreated to his room and drank two bags of blood before turning on music until he was ready for bed.
He slept until nightfall. When his eyes opened he knew Dean was there. With a wide grin he got out of bed and dressed in jeans and a long sleeved black shirt to hide his injuries. The stab wounds were still very visible, and from the chains were raised angry red welts in a line all around him. He went to Dean’s room, tackling the hunter to the bed and kissing him passionately. “Not like I missed you or anything.”
Dean laughed. “I missed you too. We have everything we need now. When we got here Patrick told us the ritual had to be preformed on a full moon. There’s one in three days if you’re up for it. I want you to be fully healed and healthy when we do it. I don’t wanna take any unnecessary chances.”
“I’ll be up for it,” Liam insisted. “I’m not gonna sit around here with my thumb up my ass for another month.”
“We’ll see,” Dean shook his head and claimed the vampire’s mouth in another deep kiss. “Right now I really wanna make up for lost time.”
“I want you too,” Liam breathed and they both started shedding their clothes. The vampire hoped it was dark enough that his lover wouldn’t be able to see his injuries. Just in case when they came together for another heated kiss Liam’s hand found its way between Dean’s legs and started stroking his cock to distract him.
Dean’s hands started at his shoulders and slid down over the welts. Liam had to suppress a whimper at the sudden rush of pain. Dean sighed and pulled back. “Try to distract me all you want, but it’s only a matter of time before we talk about these.”
Liam pulled back with a sigh. “What’s to talk about? I was chained up and regularly dosed with dead man’s blood as well as starved for four days. It’s over now.” He stepped over to the window to gaze out. The moonlight hit him and brought everything to light.
“Oh, god,” Dean gasped when he saw the extent of the injuries. He sighed and ran a hand through his hair. “I knew you were in distress, but I didn’t know how bad.”
Liam returned to the bed. “He said I’m a vampire, I meddled in his family, and he didn’t trust me. It was a hellish four nights, but like I said, it’s over.”
Dean pressed a kiss to the juncture of his neck, nipping slightly at the flesh. “I’m glad you’re safe now, and I’m beginning to think we should wait a month for the ritual so you can heal. I don’t want you to be left with any scars or anything.”
The vampire shot him a nasty look. “You’re telling me that the thing I’ve wanted so very badly all these centuries is right here in front of me, and you want me to wait another month because of a few scratches? No. If there are scars, I’ll deal with it.”
“Okay,” Dean sighed, unable to say no to the man he loved.
Liam smiled and kissed Dean tenderly before getting up to run back to his room for a moment. He returned with his bag, letting it drop beside Dean’s. “I don’t think we’ll be needing separate rooms now, do you?”
“Definitely not,” Dean agreed with the sentiment. He watched as Liam dug through his bag, handing him the bottle of lube with a smirk. Dean looked a little unsure. “It’s not that I don’t want you, I just don’t want to do anything that’s gonna hurt you.”
Liam sighed and cupped his lover’s cheek. “I’m on the mend. Just be gentle.”
“I can do that,” Dean nodded. He got off the bed to go lock the door so they wouldn’t be disturbed. Then he tossed the bottle in his hand down onto the bed so he could remove his clothing. Liam did the same, lying down on his back with his legs spread. Dean just stared down at him a moment with love in his eyes. Then the hunter reached out to stroke his fingertips down Liam’s thigh and grabbed his now hard cock to give it a little stroke.
Liam bit his lip and gasped at the touch. It felt nice, a welcome change from being tortured. A soft whimper of pleasure escaped him when his cock was stroked. “You have no idea how much I missed you, how much I want you.”
“Oh, I have an idea,” Dean chuckled as he grabbed the bottle again and squirted some on his fingers before sliding them into Liam’s puckered hole. Liam’s eyes closed and a low moan filled the room when Dean found his prostate again. The hunter rubbed against that spot for a minute, watching his lover’s face with a smile of his own before pulling the fingers out.
Then he took the bottle and squirted the lube out into his hand and applied it to his own erect cock, settling himself between the vampire’s legs. “Just… If anything hurts you, let me know and I’ll stop.”
Liam nodded, having no doubt that his lover would stop if asked to. He sighed as he felt the pressure of Dean pushing into him. The hunter’s movements were slow and gentle as he sank inside the vampire. His fingertips brushed down Liam’s sides and rested on his hips until he was completely buried. Dean sat still for only a minute before he began gently rocking his hips to make love to the vampire beneath him.
A need filled groan came from the hunter as he wrapped his fingers around the vampire’s cock and started stroking it. Liam whimpered and pressed back against him, only pleasure and desire in those silver eyes. Dean’s tempo increased as he leaned down to plant a heated kiss on his lover’s lips. The kiss was eagerly returned and Liam put his hands on the hunter’s chest to explore the warm flesh. Dean angled himself in the way that would please his companion most and started grinding against those nerves with each thrust.
“I love you,” Dean panted into Liam’s ear. Liam moaned and started nibbling at Dean’s throat. Dean’s eyes fluttered as he felt a tongue slide up the sensitive flesh before skin was pinched between teeth. Liam’s fingertips lightly ran up his lover’s back, causing the hunter to shiver and moan. Dean closed his eyes and licked his lips as he really started pounding into Liam.
Liam reached up to claim his lover’s mouth again, moaning and arching his back. Minutes later Liam threw his head back, his eyes shut tight. “I love you too,” he breathed as he let himself fall over the edge and was engulfed in intense pleasure. Dean cried out as he let his own orgasm claim him, spilling himself inside his lover.
Dean collapsed on top of Liam, his breath coming in ragged gasps and his heart trying to pound its way out of his chest. His hand found its way to run through the blond strands of Liam’s hair. “You know, I love the face you make when you cum for me.” He looked into the vampire’s eyes, nothing but love in his own. “And as much as I don’t wanna move now either because we didn’t get to savor this for very long the last time, Sam and Natalie are waiting for us in the dining room.” He pulled his softening cock out of Liam and sat up to clean himself off and get dressed.
There was a whimper of protest from Liam, but he too moved to put his clothes back on and make sure he looked presentable. He couldn’t help the wide grin on his face that had been put there by the evening’s activities. Dean rolled his eyes and took his lover’s hand to lead him to the dining room.
By the looks on Sam and Natalie’s faces when the couple entered the room they both knew exactly what had gone on up in that bedroom. Excitement bubbled in Liam’s chest as he took a seat at the table, Dean sitting beside him. “So, Dean tells me we have everything. I guess we just wait for the full moon in a few days then?”
“Yeah,” Sam nodded, “we have everything. The ritual itself seems pretty straightforward, but I’d feel better if we could give it a dry run at least once.”
“And we need to deal with Dad,” Dean said. “He might try to pull something to stop us. We don’t need any distractions because distractions lead to failure, and I don’t want to think about what failure could lead to with something like this. Anyway, I’m starving so I’m gonna go grab a bite to eat if no one minds.”
“Help yourself,” Natalie smiled as Dean got up from the table and headed into the kitchen.
Dean made himself a turkey and cheese sandwich, poured himself a glass of milk, and took a slice of apple pie out of the fridge. He was just about to start eating when his phone rang. He sighed when he saw it was his dad. The thought of not taking it crossed his mind, but he’d just said they needed to deal with him. “Yeah?” he answered.
“Get that thing human,” John’s voice came on the line. “Then stay away from it. For your own good go find yourself a nice woman that has never been a vampire.”
Dean growled. “Dad, I am a grown ass man, and you can’t order me around anymore, especially when it comes to my personal life. I am in love with a male vampire, and you’ll just have to deal with that. I’m not going to turn Liam human and then abandon him. If you can’t accept that and play nice, then just leave us the fuck alone.”
“Suit yourself,” John sighed. “But keep in mind when it’s human it’ll be your responsibility if you stay with it.” John was clearly not happy when he hung up.
Dean ran a hand through his hair and turned back to his sandwich. He looked up when Liam entered the room. “Everything okay?”
“Yeah,” Liam nodded. “I was just telling Sam and Natalie that this ritual is probably going to be no cakewalk for me. I mean, being turned in the first place was… pretty horrible. I want you to promise me that no matter what you see or hear, even if it seems like it’s killing me, you won’t stop it.”
“I kinda figured it would be a real bitch. You have my word, I won’t interfere.”
“Thank you.” Liam kissed Dean’s forehead and left him to his meal.
