The Plan, Action & Revelations
Chapter 2
Merton dropped his books on his desk as he rubbed his temples. “Is it just me or are those girls really creepy? And what’s up with Stacey showing up all of a sudden I thought she left? …. ….” He questioned just barely keeping his tone in check, sense he didn’t want to take it out on Lori, sense she was his other best friend.
Lori sighed at the anger she felt coming off the mousy goth boy, “As far as I could tell they seemed perfectly fine…. Almost like they were a balance between yin and yang…. Though if you want my opinion I don’t think Stacey’s here for the benefit of showing cousins around, I think she wants Tommy back….” She commented with a heavy sigh.
Merton froze at that trying to keep the tears blinked back at that thought, as he knew that Stacey had a lot of sway when it came to Tommy. As he thought this he; slowly he started to sink to his desk chair, “… no… that’s not right…. She can’t! …. She left him…… besides that she always makes him wolf out….. But if what you say is true ... Then your relationship with Tommy is in direct danger she knows how to manipulate him expertly like a succubus…” he uttered cursing how shaky his voice sounded from the raw emotion he was trying so desperately to hold back.
Lori watched him for a bit feeling her heart clinch at how much this was hurting Merton, one of her best friends, yet here he was putting her feelings before his own, like usual. She sighed to herself, before shaking the sadness she felt over it off, and moved to the front of Merton’s desk to make him look at her. “That’s not going to happen; you want to know who has the stronger connection to Tommy? That would be you! All we need to do is make him realize it…. I’ll help you…… we just need to get him alone with you…..Oh don’t give me that look I’ve known from the beginning how you felt…. I just didn’t learn how Tommy felt until a bit more recently. Besides I sooner lose him to you than that bitch of a red head…” she trailed off.
Merton shifted a bit under the blonde’s gaze, “You know how Tommy feels about me? ... How? .... With Stacey here I don’t think we could get him alone…. She’s extremely time consuming,” he stated flatly feeling worse at his own words. Rubbing his face he sighed, the only thing he felt better about was the fact he didn’t have to hide it from Lori any more. He watched her as he let her think; mentally smiling as this time he would have someone in his corner.
Lori bit her lip as she thought; sense she knew Merton had more experience with this red headed woman than she did. Just then her eyes twinkled as she smiled, “Oh there is a way….. You know that fried chicken Tommy likes? Well I’ll just simply tell him at lunch that I want to meet him for a private meal for two in one of the empty classrooms… I’ll get T’N’T to help me distract Stacey long enough…. Only instead of meeting me he’ll meet up with you…. Then well the rest would be up to you I’m afraid,” she explained her plan to Merton her confidence in her plan growing more and more as she thought of all the angles.
Merton didn’t have time to question Lori on the details as the rush of students, including the two new ones, Stacey and Tommy had come into the room. And like the impulsive woman Lori was she was already forcing Tommy to sit by her and away from Stacey so that she could put in her little request. Merton could feel himself sweating bullets as he watched out of the corner of his eye the transaction. But when Lori beamed at her soon to be ex-boyfriend Tommy Dawkins, it told him she was successful in persuading the male. But why should that surprise him, as Tommy rarely said ‘no’ when it came to girls or close friends or family. Though the other thing he noticed was how pissed off Stacey looked, though he smiled lightly about that as he didn’t think Stacey could ever in a million years be able to take Lori on in an fight.

All throughout the day time either flew or dragged agonizingly by for both Lori and Merton. But when lunch time finally rolled around Merton had left to the classroom Lori had told him to go to. He was feeling bad about not having a bucket of chicken on him but he figured he’d make it up to the male later on at supper. Merton started to pace chewing on his lip at random intervals. Thinking as time went by that Tommy had forgotten about meeting ‘Lori’ and was off somewhere with Stacey. This faded instantly when he saw Tommy come in than unsurprisingly look bewildered at the sight of him.
Tommy looked confused at Merton than again he was supposed to be meeting Lori here, “Hey Mert… huh where’s Lori? .... I was supposed to meet her here….” He trailed off before waving a hand in front of Merton’s face. He was starting wonder what was going on when he picked up a strange scent coming off of Merton, and was wondering what was making the male so nervous.
Merton blinked at the hand feeling the rather strong butterflies surging in his stomach, “uhh… Tommy…. You see…… Lori was really arranging for you to see me…..uhh….. I needed to tell you something….. That is to say I want to tell you something….. I just…I….I….I…” he was stuttering to get out as he looked at the male that made his heart pound so hard he was sure Tommy could hear it for sure.
“Are you hurt? Did T’N’T start up their old antics? Out with it Merton…what’s wrong?” Tommy pressed now feeling worried, as he knew sometimes T’N’T got out of hand but sense he’s such close friends with the two sometimes Merton wouldn’t tell him when he was hurt badly by them.
Merton blushed faintly as he knew he had to come out with it or his most dangerous bullies would actually get lectured for no reason which wouldn’t go over well in the end. He swallowed hard trying to calm himself, “I’m trying to get out….. That I…. I like you Tommy…. More than a best friend….” He managed to get out though how he had he would never know. But at the long stretch of silence it started to make him worried Lori had been wrong.
Tommy was taken back in surprise, ‘that would explain all that arousal I kept smelling off of him….. And sense Lori was the one to arrange this I guess that means she’d rather see Merton happy’ he thought to himself not realizing what the stretch of silence was doing to Merton. By the time he came out of it he was hearing Merton saying something or other that wasn’t all that important as he pulled the male against him. He looked at the smaller male that just fit so wonderfully against him, but when he saw the worry and fear he realized what the other must’ve thought. “Merton calm down… please….sorry I was quiet for so long I was just thinking…. And well I like you too…. And if Lori is absolutely fine with it I’ll be yours…….. Just will have to think of a way of telling my folks without it costing too much trouble” he explained in a rush still holding the male in his arms relishing in the other’s scent openly sense he didn’t have to hide his heightened senses around the male.
Merton blushed but started to smile as he cuddled right into Tommy’s chest thinking ‘he’s mine! He’s actually mine! Oh please if this is a dream don’t let me wake up’. Before he giggled a bit, “that tickles…. The sniffing I mean” he murmured but obviously didn’t mind it in the least.
“I can always kiss you instead,” Tommy responded with a cheeky smile as he watched how flustered it made the other look. Before thinking it wasn’t a bad idea as he was dying to know what the male’s lips tasted like. Leaning in he captured Merton’s lips in a loving kiss, but was blown away by the intensity of the emotions he felt coming off the male which made him growl possessively and hold Merton closer. Unknowingly to his conscious mind this action was an act of claiming Merton as his mate; and only His mate. Currently that act did satisfy the werewolf side but only will for so long; eventually he’ll have to bite the male.
Author's Note: How'd you like the update?... I know it has been a while sense I posted but I want to put as much thought into this as possible so I am taking my time and doing it right. The miner pairing will involvr Lori just not sure what yet.. Please Rate and Review
