I walked into my office my walk resembled something like a zombie. I dropped myself into my chair and blinked. I got off on awful start today, power must have went out during the night and reset my alarm clock so it didn’t ring at six this morning. I slept until eight this morning and I had barely time to wash up, put on make-up, dress, feed the dogs and beat the morning traffic. I didn’t have time to have my minimum two cups of coffee or eat breakfast. I wore black jeans, a brown V-Cut sweater and black heels. I had just enough time to put on some gloss, eyeliner and mascara and golden earrings. My hair was open and I hated it, the tight brown curls were already falling into my face and I could rip at it, but that hurt. “Lovelyn?” I looked up from my seat to find my Honey-Eyes staring at me holding a large paper cup with a Startbucks logo on it. “Amum…” I grumbled something and Reid smiled at me handing over my coffee. I preciously grabbed it and I sipped at it. It took a couple of seconds. “Thank you, Buttercup,” I spoke. “That’s my girl,” Spencer smiled at me before walking out my office. I smiled after him and shook my head. For the first half hour in my office, I enjoyed my coffee, drinking it and enjoying it doing nothing but savoring the aromatic taste letting it slowly wake me up. It was half passed nine when I got up from my chair and walked out of my office. “Morning!” I smiled brightly at everyone. I was greeted with a chorus of laughter. “Asses,” I leaned against the railing that was around the bullpen. “You looked like a zombie coming in here, I thought I might have to get a couple of bottles of Holy Water from St. Johns,” Emily grinned at me. “Holy Water is for Vampires and not for Zombies,” I huffed making her raise an elegant eyebrow. “Oh Please,” I shook my head, rolling my eyes. “You look different,” JJ stared at me, “Younger, more relaxed. I did know that you have that much hair, Jesus, it’s gorgeous with those curls.” “I hate it when it’s down,” I gripped a couple of locks and pulled at the curls, watching it as it sprung back into form after I released it. “It’s sexy hair, SugarMama,” Derek spoke, I raised an eyebrow at him, “And you should know how mixed hair can get, SugarDaddy, if I don’t keep this tamed and closed up.” “Leave it opened today for us, please,” JJ pleaded, “You never have your hair down.” I sighed looked at her pleading blue eyes and nodded, “Just this once.” “Morning Lovelyn,” Hotch greeted as he stepped out of his office. I nodded my head at him and then winked at Rossi as he stepped out after him and he winked back at me. “So which one of you wants to go first?” I threw out into the room. I was partial finished the cases but I always needed a detailed account of the case verbal for each participant. It was something I always did last and all it did was help me clear up a few misunderstandings and made sure that I had everything right before I turned them in. It was quiet for a moment before Spencer volunteered to go first. We sat in my office with me at my desk and Reid taking up one of the two chairs upfront. I listened and asked questions about the case, I was closing up his file when Reid coughed to clear his throat. I looked up him over the rim of my reading glasses. Reid never coughs to clear his throat unless he uncomfortable about something. “Is there something else, Reid?” I asked dropping my pin. Reid swallowed and pulled at his collar. It surprised me to watch his cheeks tint a light pink. “You know I read once from Garcia’s magazine that 75 percent of men find women with glasses attractive,” he rambled off and the corners of my mouth pulled lightly. “And that 35 percent still of the married couples, the husbands still find their wives extremely attractive with glasses,” he cleared his throat again. I sat back in my seat, it took me months to figure out Spencer-Talk, but I knew exactly what he was trying to say. “Spencer, are you saying that you find me attractive with my glasses on?” I smiled at him, and I watched as the tinted pink turned tomato red. He nodded since the poor thing couldn’t answer me. “Thank you, Spencer. You are absolutely sweet,” I was cut off. “Oh God, forget that I said something,” Reid got and all but ran to the door. “Reid!” I hollered after him before he could step out the door. He looked at me. “You are really the sweetest thing out there, Honey-Eyes.” Reid suddenly put a smile on his lips and nodded, I winked at him, “Alright and tell whoever who’s next to come in?” Emily came in after Reid, immediately asked why Reid looked like he hit the jackpot. I shook my head and told her not to be so damn nosy. After Emily, Hotch came in, then Rossi, JJ and Morgan. After a while, I moved upstairs to give Strauss my report and I stopped by Garcia but found her lip locked with Lynch in her office. I hauled ass to get out there, I already had grabbed my things to leave so I didn’t have to stop by my office. I took the elevator down to the first floor since I had been late and wasn’t able to get a parking space this morning in the parking garage so I had to park my baby on the streets. I begged to God that nobody scratched my car. As the elevator came to the first floor I walked out and near the exit, I saw Morgan talking to Debbie Hillard, the tramp from the fourth floor was flashing her cleavage and batting her eye lashes. I saw that she grabbed his hand and tried sexily to her number into his big hand. I couldn’t stop my eye roll. Jealousy consumed me and I didn’t know why, it wasn’t like we were dating, we were good friends. I walked out of the building and down the street; I could see my dark red baby waiting for me. I threw my things in the back seat and hightailed out of there. I got home and was greeted by my babies, Louis slobbering all over me, he was trying to make good for what he did yesterday. I fed Maya and Louis and I went to change and before I left my room and heard my cell phone beep telling me that someone wrote me. I checked it and found that Derek at written me and asked me to walk Clooney for him since he something to do and would be coming home late. Someone to do, I thought bitterly. I threw my cell back on the bed and headed downstairs. Grabbing the leashes and the extra key for Derek’s house, I walked up the street and grabbed Clooney before heading to the park. Louis whined as we got there and Clooney too, “You both know what you guys did yesterday was not okay. Maya is the only one that followed directions yesterday and she is the only one that is allowed to walk without a leash. Stop whining, it’s not working,” I admonish the dogs and they both hung their heads and tucked in their tails. Clooney and Louis sat obediently at my side before I couldn’t help myself after a few minutes of watching Maya play around. Unleashed them both and both males took after Maya barking and jumping on each other. I stood there wrapping my arms around my waist. I enjoyed watching the three dogs playing with each other. I had a feeling I was being watched, I looked over my shoulder to the right and found a man probably my age staring at me openly. I shivered and looked away, not that he wasn’t good looking but his eyes held something dark and menacing. It was a few minutes later, I glanced over my shoulder again and saw him staring at me still. I wasn’t a profiler, but this creep made me feel like I was looking at an UnSub. I whistled loudly and all three dogs ran to me, they greeted me with hand licks and I told them it was time to go home. I would have stayed longer, but I felt so uncomfortable. I leashed them all and walked back home, Clooney whimpered as I started to walk up Derek’s walkway and my heart bled. “Yeah, come on, I’ll take you home with me and your Buddy can pick you up later,” I walked them back to my place and led them to the backyard. It was a warm for fall night, so I thought it would be nice to eat dinner outside. I put a big bowl of water outside before I headed upstairs to shower and dress in my PJ’s. I made me steak and rice dish, grabbed a glass of my Rosé and headed outside with a thick blanket. I ate and then star gazed for a while, I was just figuring out were Leo was when I heard footsteps walk up to my wooden gate. “Derek?” I called out. Nobody answered, and I heard someone run away. My heart started to thumb in my chest; I called the dogs into the house and locked up the back patio. I had a gun, I was trained as a FBI Agent, but it still scared the shit out of me. Sensing my fear, the canines came to me and settled near me on the couch. I made sure that the front door was locked before I settled down and turned on the couch. Dozed off after calming down and woke up with a jolt as the door bell rang. I looked at the clock and saw that it was mid night. For a minute I wondered who in the hell that could be, when I remembered that I had Clooney with me. I once told Derek if the front porch was on, it meant that I was still up and he could always stop by to bring or pick up Clooney. And I had left the night on. I checked threw the curtains to see if it was really was Derek, and with relief it really was. I unlocked and opened the front door. Derek had pulled the front screen open and was standing there. “Where have you been? Clooney was so lonely,” I teased him as Clooney ran to his best friend and greeted him in joy. “Hey Buddy,” Derek swatted down and greeted his boy before standing up and looking over me. “I was out on a date,” Derek waggled his eyebrows and I could smell the faint scent of a woman’s perfume on him. I wanted to growl. “With Debbie Hillard? I saw her chatting you up after work. I would be careful Derek, I hope you wrapped up twice with her,” I told him as I walked over to the downstairs closet get Clooney’s leash. “Hey, don’t be so mean.” “I’m not. I’m just stating a fact. I saw her go after Rossi, the next day John from Narcotics and then Henry the security guy. Just be careful,” I handed him the leash, which he took. Derek looked at me, he was about to say something defending her when he took a good look at me, “Are you okay?” he asked me. “Stop profiling me” I said, he saw that something had frightened me. “I’m not,” he shook his head, “I didn’t mean too, but you look scared.” I was about to tell him about the park and what happened earlier but I could be just blowing this out of portion. I shook my head, “I’m okay. It was nothing, Derek, just me and my crazy imagination.” Derek looked at me if he wanted to press but shrugged his shoulders. He leashed Clooney, who hadn’t even ventured away from his side since he came in. Derek said good bye and a thank you before he left and I was able to go upstairs and into my bed. I slept fitfully that night. I felt if someone was watching me. __ Over the next couple of days, everywhere I went I had the feel I was being trailed. I looked around and searched for someone but I never found someone. Only at the dog park, I would see the same man, blandly staring at me. On Thursday, I was at the park with Clooney again without Derek. I threw a Frisbee and I watched a three crazy as can be dogs run after it. I laughed as Louis made a jump for it but missed, he tumbled to the floor. Clooney was able to catch it but he didn’t bring it back to me, he dropped it in front of Maya and shook his tail, barking at her. Maya took hold of it, rubbed herself against Clooney and then trotted over to me. “You naughty girl,” I laughed at Maya, rubbing her fur. I grabbed the Frisbee again this time threw it a little harder and farther out. I was startled when I heard a voice next to me. “What beautiful dogs.” I looked at the man that spoke, and stood still. It was the creepy guy that always stared at me. Rate & Review! Please!!!
