Puzzle Piece
A week had passed by .
Chloe turn over , and Clark was still sleeping with Vesta little head on his chest.
She slipped out of the queen sized bed to go start some coffee”.
A few minutes later the smell of the freshly brew coffee woke Clark .
“ Good morning Princess”
She yawned” , and climb off the bed.
“ Good morning daddy.”
“ I’m going to get dress , and go play out in the loft”.
“ Okay I’ll call you when breakfast is ready”.
He got dress , and went down stairs.
Chloe had already fixed him a cup of coffee.
“ Vesta went out play in the loft”.
“ I told her I’d call her when it was time for breakfast”.
When Chloe got breakfast ready Clark called Vesta in to eat”.
“ Daddy can I go to work with you today?”
“ I want get in your way, and I will be really good”
“ The planet is really not a place for kids”.
“ Daddy I’m not going to except no as an answer”
He picked her up.
“ First of all who made you princess for a day?”
“ Daddy you did when you said, “ Good morning Princess.”
He looked over at Chloe .
“ Clark this one you will have to figure out on your own”
Chloe took at bite of her blueberry muffin.
“ Thanks a lot Chloe” .
“ Princess like I said the planet is no place for you”.
“ Remember the bees swarming around when you saved Jonathan?”
“ Daddy Nana said the reporters were more like buzzards going after road kill”.
“ Vesta your daddy is not trying to be mean to you”.
“ He is just looking out for your best interest.
“ I’ve gone to work with him before , and now ever since I save Jonathan life at the fair.
“ I can’t even go to town without people looking at me “.

Clark was still sitting there listening to the conversation.
He picked her up.
“ Princess I just want to keep you safe , and so does everyone else who loves you”.
Chloe looked at her watch.
“ I have to get going.”
“ I’ll see you at the Planet Clark”.
“ Okay Chloe I’ll be there in a few minutes”.
Clark looked sternly into Vesta emerald green eyes
“ The topic of you going to work with me is no longer debatable”.
She gave him a fluster look .
“ Okay I’ll see you this afternoon”.
Martha walks in the back door Clark was sitting at the table .
“ Mom How on God’s green earth did Dad you handle me when I was little?”
She sit down beside him.
“ Clark we had to have a lot of patience, and understanding”.
“ The world is like a puzzle son.”
“ Vesta is just discovering how she fits into it.”
“ I’m pretty sure she’ll be okay just give her some time”.
He gave her a hug.
