Just a Game
A/N: I have to apologize ahead of time. I could never get this chapter to sound right. This is as close as I could in 100 words.
“I’d never hurt you!”
“Are you serious?
“I’m dying… no… we’re dying… and with my final breath, I admit I love you, but you didn’t. It hurt not to hear it back, even if you didn’t mean it. I wondered if our relationship was a game.
“While traveling with the Doctor, I wondered if you felt anything real for me. I tried convincing him that you’d fix yourself, but he insisted I come.
“Then I saw you with that woman. You’d moved on and I didn’t know if she was just a game, too.
“It was easier just to lie.”
