Dear Diary,

I don't like being a new kid.

It's almost as bad as just starting school when it starts.

They all stared at us.

Dean and me are in the same class still which I think it better. The new teacher is good. He's called Mr. Bee. He teaches us how to spell. He likes me and Dean 'cause we know so much already. He teaches us how to write and spell but I know most of it so I'm not learning so much but that's ok 'cause at least I'm getting something new.

There's no kids like Rob but there's a bunch of giggly girls who sit and play barbies. I think that's stupid.

Frank said it wasn't right for a girl to play with trucks but I said barbies are stupid and he said well at least I'm a cool girl so it's ok.

I think Frank's weird.

More drew pictures and wrote their names on Dean's cast. It looks all funny now.

I made a friend who's in second grade. She sits with me at lunch while Dean plays with some of the boys in our class. She tells me she's been the new kid a couple of times and it never gets better. She said it sucks. She said not a lot of kids wanna talk to you when you're new. Most when they think you're really weird.

I like her. Her name's Michelle.
