Mimi Lockhart sat at her table an fiddled with her fork. Mimi despite all the time that had passed still didn't like to be out in public much. She had never quite noticed just how judgmental most of the town was. Perhaps that was because she had never really taken the time to see it. Mimi had grown up a lot since high school, an at the moment that was what most of the town remained her of.
High school pricks who didn't even know the full story behind what they were judging. Not that anyone had dared to ask her at any rate, Mimi had somehow become unapproachable. Still that didn't mean they didn't talk trash; when they thought she couldn't hear or her back was turned.
Mimi had come to the conclusion that most of the town was filled with sleep. Losers, people who didn't know just how complicated life was. Cassie DiMera was about one of the only people in town who didn't treat her with any judgment.
A DiMera was not treating her like she was worthless, now that was irony. Then again Cassie was not really towing the family line, more like she was cutting the rope. Mimi had to laugh, the image of Cassie taking a hack saw to a boat line with her father an grandfather in it.
Oh if only that could happen, Mimi would get the C4 an happily place it in with them. Mimi wasn't a violent person, but for Tony an Stefano.....she'd gladly shoot first an ask questions latter. Mimi laughed as she thought about Cassie cutting the boat line an her lining up to take shoots at them both.
Mimi wondered if she hadn't been reading too many 20's an 30's crime novels as of late. Still the thought of her an Cassie taking down Stefano an Tony made her smile. Mimi was just grateful that Cassie was standing up for her. Cassie had really put herself on the line for Mimi. She remembered the look in Cassie's eyes as she defended her to Tony the night Rex had left town.
Cassie had shown her blood in full, leaving no questions as to who's child she was. Tony had been rather taken aback by Cassie's very violent defense of Mimi. It had taken him by surprise to say the least. Mimi had forgotten just how much fire Cassie did have. The way she had ripped into her father had been scarry. Thanks to Cassie, Tony nor anyone who worked for him had come with in fifty feet of her since.
Mimi pulled her cherry coke over an took a sip, then placed it back down upon the table. As she started back up with her fork she felt a sharp kick. Mimi smiled an moved her hand down to her tummy. The baby had just made it's self known again, the little imp had been doing that a lot as of late.
Mimi was certain that the baby just loved to let his or her mommy know she or he was there. Mimi wished briefly that she'd found out what the sex was, but brushed the thought aside. Mimi wanted to be surprised as to if she was having a boy or a girl, she had already waited four months. What was another five months of waiting for her baby to come into the world. Now if only her baby's daddy would come back home.
