The principle of the school walks out onto the stage. She taps the mic to make sure it is on.
"Welcome parents. This is the first time we've done something like this, but it was requested by the creative writing teacher that we make this a common practice in the future to see if we can't continue to save creative classes, as they are in jeopardy. So without further delay, here are the Seniors for the class of 2015, who take creative writing, with poems or songs that have been written by them. Enjoy!"
As the principle walks off the stage, the first of 15 students comes out to deliever what they had prepared for the evening. Mavibella had asked to go last, even though she was one of the top students in all her classes, she was nervous as hell. She plays with the hem of her dress to try to calm her nerves as each student in front of her dwindles down until she is the last one left behind the curtain. When she notices the boy who just went taking his leave from the stage, she takes a deep breath and walks out to the stage and to the mic. Clearing her throat away from the mic before speaking.
"Somebody very important to me told me poems and songs don't always have to be about feelings or emotions. You can also tell a story. A lot of people are curious to know how I came to be hours away from where I had grown up... so hopefully this will help explain to the curious ones."
She feels her throat start to go dry as she grabs the hem of her dress to keep herself calm. Her eyes coming to rest on the brothers and she gets a nod and a smile from Sam. Taking another deep breath, she begins to say what she had memorized earlier that day.
"Almost two years ago,
My parents were slain,
By the things they hunted,
They hunted the creepies,
And the crawlies,
That made everyone think,
That they were insane.
I was left to live with brothers,
Who aren't really brothers,
But thats how they came about,
They do the same thing,
But have more luck on their side.
The lawyer brought me,
To a building made of steel,
The only light that shines,
Is from the windows in the sky,
I have my own room,
It makes me feel alone,
But what can you do,
When you are an orphan after all?"
Sam's smile turns into a soft frown, Dean's eyes are huge in shock which adds to the fact his mouth is opened.
"Thank you...", she squeaks before leaving the stage and she can feel Dean's eyes on her and she can feel the anger pulsing off from him from telling the secrets no one was suppose to know but other hunters and people they truly trusted. Making her back behind the side of the curtain from the opposite end she entered from, she can hear the applauds for all the students as the principles heels click against the stage. Nodding her thanks to the few who said her poem was great but they didn't believe all of it, she struggled to get through the crowd of students and out the back door of the stage to the hallway. Once she broke free and was in the empty hallway, she was able to breath. After getting a decent amount of air, she starts to walk to the front doors of the auditorium where Dean and Sam had managed to move out of and were walking out of the door as she was walking up to them. The moment she sees Dean, she starts to worry.
"What were you thinking?!", Dean yells at her and decends on her backing her into the lockers.
"How many people do you think seriously believe it?!", she yells back before she swallows.
"You put them all in danger with your stupidity! No one is suppose to know. I should bust your ass right here, so everyone can see when they come out... but the damage is already done."
Fighting back tears she shoves him away from her, hard then she meant to which causes him to stumble back into Sam as they both fall back. Sam landing on his rear and Dean ontop of him as Mavibella runs off, down the empty hallaway.
She doesn't stop running until she can't breath anymore. Looking around where she stops, she angrily wipes the tears from her eyes, her tears rubbing away black meaning her make up is running which just pisses her off and makes her cry more angry tears. Pulling up a door, she storms into the basement of the school where students aren't allowed. Surely Dean and Sam won't think to look for her down here. The small heels of the shoes she wore clack against the metal steps as she makes her way down them and then click against the cement foundation as she looks around the large basement. Peeking around the large furnace, her eyes spot a door that is made of wood with weird symbols burned into them. Hearing the basement door open, she steps behind the furnance and towards the door as the brothers make their way down the metal basement stairs.
"We know you are down here Mavibella. Its time to go home and we will talk there. Come on sweetie.", Sam coaxes her.
"No thanks.. I think I need to move out and move on."
"You aren't 18."
"I don't care!", she yells at Sam from behind the furnance as her fingers run over the symbols, Dean appears on one side of her and Sam on the other, they are going to make sure she can't run this time. A small smirk spreads across her face as she grabs the door handle and throws it open. A blinding flash of light and she feels like she is falling, failling, falling... and then she hits something hard and her vision darkens as she blacks out in the place Dean, Sam, and herself hand landed.
( A/N: And there we go... they are now sucked into the Shadowhunters world.. :D That poem was also really written by me, off the top of my head for this story.)
