Chapter 3
The next morning Sheldon woke up to the sound of music coming from the living room of Michaela’s new house and decided to see what was going on. When he entered the living room he saw his new girlfriend cleaning it while listening to her ipod that was plugged into a bluetooth speaker. She was also singing as well. The song that was playing was Voodoo Doll by Fergie. As Michaela moved gracefully around the room singing as she was cleaning Sheldon noticed that they weren’t alone in the room. Oakley was laying on the floor chewing on a bone while Max was climbing all over the furniture kneading his paws into the couch cushions as well as the drapes over the windows. When he started scratching them Sheldon said, “ Max don’t scratch the drapes! Shoo!” as he shooed the cat away with his hands. Michaela then noticed him standing in the middle of the room and said, “ Oh, good morning Sheldon.” with a smile on her face.
“ Good morning Michaela. You seem to be very productive this morning.”, Sheldon said.
“ Yeah, I thought I’d clean up in here a little bit from last night. We had quite a house warming party yesterday.”, Michaela said as she continued cleaning.
“ Indeed we did. And do you remember what else happened last night?”, Sheldon asked.
“ Well you know last night was actually all a blur to me. I can’t remember.”, Michaela said.
“ I’ll give you a hint.”, Sheldon said as he walked up to her and kissed her. Michaela just stood there with a smile on her face. She had now remembered what had happened.
“ Last night you became my girlfriend.”, Sheldon said with a smile.
“ Oh yeah, now I remember. You’re my boyfriend now.”, Michaela said with a smile.
“ That is correct.”, Sheldon said as he kissed her again. His heart spasmed in his chest as he gently held her in his arms. He just couldn’t believe that this beautiful young woman that was standing in front of him who went through complete hell on Earth at the hands of some psycho maniac was now his and it made him very happy to know that she loved him back just as much as he loved her. Dr. Sheldon Cooper may have been a Homo Novus and preceived to be known as somewhat of a robot by his friends and everyone else but that didn’t mean that he didn’t have feelings. There was just something about Michaela Janet Mansfield that made sense to him that he just couldn’t resist her pleasing features. He loved everything about her from head to toe and just couldn’t understand why any man would want to hurt her the way Bruce did before he was sent to prison. In fact, he couldn’t understand Bruce at all and although he would never wish for harm to come to anybody he certainly wished that Bruce would suffer a slow, painful death over the course of his prison sentence at the hands of some violent Neanderthals for what he did to Michaela and what he put her through during their very rocky relationship that they had together. As the two of them were kissing Sheldon’s phone started ringing so they broke the kiss and Sheldon took his phone out to answer it. It was Leonard.
“ Sheldon where are you? I haven’t seen you since last night.”, Leonard asked.
“ I’m at Michaela’s house Leonard. I spent the night here.”, Sheldon said.
“ You spent the night with her?! Buddy what’s going on here?!”, Leonard asked.
“ Well if you must know as of last night Michaela is now my girlfriend. We got together shortly after you and the others left last night.”, Sheldon said.
“ Sheldon you dawg! Congratulations buddy!”, Leonard exclaimed.
“ Thank you.”, Sheldon said. He talked to Leonard for a few minutes before he hung up. The next song that came up on Michaela’s iPod was All that I got by Fergie.
“ Now where were we before that rude interruption?”, Sheldon asked with a smile as he stared at Michaela.
“ I think we were still kissing each other.”, Michaela said with a smile.
“ Oh yes, of course.”, Sheldon said as he kissed her again.
‘ Good riddance Bruce! You suck!’, Michaela thought in her head as the two of them then started to waltz around the room to the music playing even though Sheldon had told everyone that he knew at least over a thousand times that he didn’t dance. As they were waltzing around Michaela suddenly put her head against Sheldon’s shoulder and started to cry. This immediately caught Sheldon’s attention.
“ Are you alright?”, Sheldon asked as he looked at her.
“ Not really! I’m just hurt by everything that Bruce did to me! I just can’t believe he would treat me like that, as if I’m a piece of trash! It was like I was nothing to him! And not only that, he tried to kill me!”, Michaela cried.
“ There, there, it’s ok. This is just a natural response that your body gives off after going through a battering. This happens to everyone, not just you.”, Sheldon said as he held her.
“ I shouldn’t have ever subjected myself to this in the first place! I should have just ran away from him a long time ago when I had the chance! I should have seen the red flags go up immediately the day that I first met him, but, I didn’t!”, Michaela cried.
“ Michaela it’s not your fault. You were not the one that did anything to deserve what you got. For reasons unknown, love just blinded you in ways that you weren’t even aware of. You are a very beautiful woman and what he did to you was cruelly unfair. You didn’t deserve to get blamed for him ending up in prison. He’s the one that did this to himself for the way he treated you. If he had just let you walk away he wouldn’t be where he is right now.”, Sheldon said.
“ I hate him! I hope I never see him again for as long as I live! Even if and when he gets out on parole someday! I never want to see him again!”, Michaela cried as Pocketful of Sunshine by Natasha Bedingfield began to play on her iPod.
“ And you won’t ever have to. If he ever comes around here again I’m going to see to it that he ends up in a hellacious watery grave.”, Sheldon said.
“ What do you mean by that?!”, Michaela cried.
“ Meaning I’m going to shoot him. I’m going to put bullet right through his psychotic head if he ever tries to hurt you again.”, Sheldon said.
“ I’m so happy I met you! Because of your kind actions, I’m now free from a psychopathic maniac because he’s now behind bars! It just feels so good to be able to have a peaceful house and not worry if I’m going to live to see another day or not! My own new house with my two pets who I love so much and I can’t thank you enough! I love you!”, Michaela cried as she kissed him.
“ I love you too.”, Sheldon said as he kissed her back. As she continued to cry Sheldon gently lifted her face to look at him and said, “ Hey look at me, stop crying. As long as I’m here I’m not going to let anything happen to you. No one is ever going to hurt you again and that includes Bruce. He’s just a raging monster that doesn’t deserve you. No woman on this entire Earth deserves to be treated like that. He may have thought that what he was doing was the right thing to do to keep you in line but it most certainly was not. And on top of that him banning you from ever having friends while he can keep his friends is just absurd. I don’t know who told him that’s appropriate behavior but that’s just wrong. And another thing, him telling you that you’re not allowed to use your car is also wrong. There is absolutely no reason why you can not just go somewhere by yourself to get away for a few if things are too rough. He was taking that way too far as if he was treating you like his prisoner and that’s wrong on so many levels.”
“ You’re right! I’m such an idiot! Why?! Why did I have to fall for this guy in the first place?!”, Michaela cried.
“ Again it’s not your fault. You did no wrong, he’s the one that did this to himself. As I said before, if he had just let you walk away he wouldn’t be serving a life sentence in prison right now.”, Sheldon said.
“ But if he was still out on the streets he would probably still do the same thing to other women!”, Michaela cried.
“ Exactly because he’s a criminal and that’s what criminals do. If no one does anything about their behavior or stops it from happening, they’re just going to keep doing it until they end up dead.”, Sheldon said.
“ You’re right and... oh no!”, Michaela cried.
“ What? What is it?”, Sheldon asked.
“ I suddenly realized that I made huge mistake!”, Michaela cried.
“ And what’s that?”, Sheldon asked.
“ I... I accidentally left my phone on the night stand the night I went to go crash on your couch and when I went back home to tell Bruce I was breaking up with him... he said that he saw every single text message you and I sent to each other! He knows where you live now since you texted me your address! If he gets out of prison someday I’m really worried that he’s going to show up at your apartment and seriously hurt you and Leonard and then he might try to come after me! I’m so sorry! I didn’t know what I was thinking! I hope you’re not mad at me for this!”, Michaela cried.
“ I’m not mad at you but I am a little concerned now for our safety. I think it would be a smart idea if we both get security systems installed, just in case if he ever tries to come around here again.”, Sheldon said.
“ I think so too! Oh I’m so scared now!”, Michaela cried into her boyfriend’s shoulder.
“ Shhh there, there. Calm down. Everything’s going to be fine, Sheldon’s here.”, Sheldon said as he continued to hold her, awkwardly rubbing her back in gentle circles. Michaela’s crying started to subside as Sheldon gently wiped her tears away with his thumb. He kissed her again as she reached up to caress his head. The two of them stayed like this for a while until Sheldon told Michaela that he was going home but that he would see her later that same day. She said ok and after he left she walked back to her bedroom, flopped down on the bed and picked up her phone to go on Facebook. As she was searching around looking at all the news feeds she suddenly noticed that Midge Rowlenstein was on there so Michaela had decided to try reaching out to her childhood best friend in the hopes that she would answer her. Michaela clicked on Midge’s name and went into her Facebook messenger. With a nervous breath of air she typed:
Michaela: Hi Midge, it’s me Michaela.
She hit the send button and waited for what seemed like an eternity until she surprisingly got a reply back. It said:
Midge: Michaela?! Oh my god, hi! I haven’t heard from you in like forever! I thought you had completely forgotten about me since you started dating ‘ what’s his face’! Is he there?!
Michaela read the reply and without hesitation she answered:
Michaela: That’s honestly kind of what I wanted to talk to you about Midge. I actually broke up with Bruce a week ago and he’s now in prison serving a life sentence for what he did to me. I’m now currently living in a new house with my pets.
Midge: Oh my god that’s insane! Are you ok?! What did he do to you?!
Michaela: He had attempted to murder me by hiring several of his friends to come to my workplace while I was working and he told them to rob it and set it on fire. Everyone was screaming and running to get out of the building but I didn’t really actually realize what was happening until I saw that the flames were halfway up the wall at the back of the store.
Midge: That is so scary! How did you get out of there?!
Michaela: This guy I met and befriended was actually the one that saved my life. He fearlessly came in there and carried me out shortly before the whole building exploded in flames. He’s now actually my new boyfriend. We just got together last night.
Midge: Really?! I’m so happy for you Michaela! Who is this guy?!
Michaela: He’s a brilliant theoretical physicist from Caltech University, he has an IQ of 187 and his name’s Dr. Sheldon Lee Cooper.
Midge: Shut up, that’s wonderful! How did you meet him?!
Michaela: Well I first saw him when he was in my store with his roommate/best friend purchasing groceries but I didn’t actually get to really talk to him until I ran into him on the street one day as he was getting off the bus. This was after my shift had ended and I was on my way to the pharmacy to pick up my prescription medication. He told me that he was on his way home from the dentist and so we introduced ourselves and the conversation continued from there until he started noticing my bruises that Bruce had inflicted on me from previous beatings. He started asking me if I was ok and I told him that I was fine and that it was nice meeting him but I had to leave. But since that first meeting between us happened and we became friends Sheldon kept asking me if I was ok every time I would go over to his apartment that he shared with Dr. Leonard Hofstadter, the roommate/best friend I mentioned before, to visit him but I kept trying to avoid the conversation because I was so afraid that Bruce was really going to hurt me if he knew that someone else knew about what he was doing to me and obviously my first thought was that the last thing that I would ever want to happen was for Sheldon to get seriously hurt because of Bruce’s explosive temper. But thankfully nothing of that magnitude happened.
Midge: Thank god for that! Did your family meet him yet?!
Michaela: Yes. They met him at the hospital after he rescued me from the fire and I had been admitted there for smoke inhalation. They were so grateful for what he did. My dad even called him a hero for saving my life and my mom cried tears of joy as she hugged him.
Midge: Wow! Michaela I’m beyond happy for you! It’s so great to know that you’re finally out of that dangerous situation and that you have a new man in your life that sounds like he will do everything he can to protect you. I’m so happy that you reached out to tell me this. I’ve been so worried about you since Bruce told us to go away so long ago. I’m so glad that he’s behind bars now and can’t do any more harm to you or anyone else.
Michaela: I know, me too. Please come by again and see me sometime. I really miss you and I really want to catch up on everything that we missed.
Midge: Oh you know it girlfriend! I would love that too because I really missed you too! I’ll stop by within the next few days depending on how my work schedule is! We can totally catch up then and who knows maybe if I’m lucky I might get to meet Sheldon too! He sounds like he’s a totally better guy for you than that psychopathic maniac Bruce!
Michaela: You are so right Midge! To hell with that a**hole!
Midge: Yeah baby! Actually you know what, screw it! I’m coming over right now! What’s your new address?!
Michaela sent Midge her new address and the two women said their goodbyes before signing off. Less than half an hour later Michaela heard someone knocking at her door and she opened it to see her best friend Midge who she hadn’t seen for several years just standing there holding a bottle of champagne and two drinking glasses. The two women immediately started crying tears of joy when they saw each other.
“ Midge!”, Michaela happily cried as she threw her arms around her.
“ Michaela!”, Midge happily cried as she set the bottle and the glasses down and did the same thing.
“ I can’t believe you’re really here at my house! I haven’t seen you in so long!”, Michaela happily cried.
“ I know me too! I can’t believe we actually get to see each other again after all this time apart! I always knew that you would come back into my life someday! Things haven’t been the same without you! I missed you so much!”, Midge happily cried.
“ I missed you too and I missed all of the crazy things we did together! Especially what we did to my brother Charlie on that Halloween night when we were sixteen!”, Michaela happily cried as she started to laugh.
“ Oh yeah I totally remember that night! I came over to spend the night at your house and we convinced him that zombies were about to attack us after showing him EAS alerts on the TV that were actually just YouTube videos saying that zombies were rising from their graves and attacking the living!”, Midge laughed.
“ I know! It scared the pants off of him so bad that he barricaded himself in his room for the rest of the night while you and I just went out to my car and just sat there busting out laughing!”, Michaela laughed.
“ That was seriously the best Halloween prank ever! I can not actually believe that Charlie thought that we were being serious about the zombie warning!”, Midge laughed.
“ Yeah he was so gullible back then! I miss our teenage years so much!”, Michaela laughed.
“ Me too! We were such rebels! Also, remember the time when the two of us and a couple of guys that were in our class paraded around the high school football field like idiots dressed as killer clowns one Friday night at halftime?! Everyone was laughing their butts off at what we were doing! We almost got caught but the office administrators never found out that it was us and a few other guys playing that sick joke on the jocks!”, Midge laughed.
“ I know right?! That was so thrilling... and stupid!”, Michaela laughed. The two women laughed and continued to talk as they moved from the doorway to the couch and sat down pouring themselves each a glass of champagne after Michaela had shut the door. 2 hours later into their conversation how ever was when they heard 3 taps on the door and somebody saying Michaela’s name 3 times.
“ Who is that?”, Midge asked.
“ I know who it is. Hold on one second.”, Michaela said as she got up and went to the door. She checked the peephole first before opening the door.
“ You’re back already?”, Michaela asked with a smile when she opened the door to see Sheldon standing there.
“ Of course I’m back Michaela. I told you I’d be back later to see you. It is later is it not?”, Sheldon said with a smile.
“ Yes it is Sheldon! Come in!”, Michaela laughed as she stepped aside allowing Sheldon to walk into the house. Midge stood up from the couch when she first saw Sheldon enter the room.
“ Oh I didn’t realize you had someone over already. Should I come back at a better time?”, Sheldon asked.
“ No no it’s ok Sheldon. This is my best friend I told you about. She just stopped by to see me.
“ Your best friend? The one that Bruce chased away?”, Sheldon asked.
“ Yes this is her.”, Michaela said.
“ Hi I’m Midge Rowlenstein. It’s nice to meet you Sheldon.”, Midge said with a smile.
“ Pleasure to meet you too Midge. When did you get here?”, Sheldon asked.
“ Oh I’ve been here for at least 2 hours before you showed up. Why don’t you come sit down and join our conversation. Michaela told me some pretty great things about you including the fact that you saved her life.”, Midge said.
“ That’s correct, I did. Alright if you insist.”, Sheldon said as he sat down. The conversations continued until Midge left. Sheldon left too shortly after he said good night to Michaela and gave her a kiss. Then one month later after Michaela’s workplace was rebuilt and she returned to work she was suddenly beginning to have transmission problems with her car due to the fact that it hadn’t been used that much since it had been stationary for the past 5 years over the course of her relationship with Bruce that she had to take her car to the shop for repairs. She also gotten her driver’s license renewed as well after it had expired and so with her car in the shop she realized she would need a ride home from work so she called Sheldon and asked him if him and Leonard would pick her up on their way home from work because of the fact that her car was in the shop getting a new transmission and she didn’t have a way to get home. Sheldon agreed to that and a short time later Leonard had pulled up into the parking lot with his car waiting for Michaela to come out with Sheldon sitting in the passenger seat next to him. When he saw Michaela walking towards his car he rolled the windows down and Michaela said, “ Hi Leonard.”
“ Hi Michaela.”, Leonard said.
“ Hello Michaela.”, Sheldon said with a smile as he looked at his girlfriend.
“ Hi Sheldon.”, Michaela said with a smile to her boyfriend in a flirty way as she kissed him before she got into the back seat of Leonard’s car.
“ So how was your day?”, Sheldon asked Michaela as Leonard was driving out of the parking lot.
“ Ugh exhausting! What about you guys?”, Michaela said as she tossed her hair back.
“ Same.”, Sheldon and Leonard said at the same time.
“ I can only imagine.”, Michaela said.
“ So, what did you say happened to your car?”, Leonard asked.
“ My transmission on it went out Leonard. Apparently they said that because my car had previously been stationary for so long it just shortened out the circuit and they unfortunately couldn’t get it started again so they said that I needed a whole new transmission if I want my car to continue operating.”, Michaela said.
“ Well that makes sense.”, Leonard said as he stopped at a red light.
“ Exactly.”, Michaela said as the light turned green and Leonard started driving again.
“ Well of course it would make sense. How else would a car operate if… oh dear Lord Dr. Leonard Hofstadter watch what you’re doing! There’s a pickup truck coming at us!”, Sheldon started to say but then screamed in terror when he suddenly saw a dark blue Ford F-150 pickup truck deliberately speeding almost directly at Leonard’s car from across the road and oncoming lane at top speed.
“ Oh for God sakes!”, Leonard screamed as he slammed on his brakes causing Michaela to scream in terror as the two vehicles collided with each other. Both front ends of both vehicles got damaged but miraculously nobody got hurt.
“ Oh dear Lord, this is a nightmare! Someone wake me up!”, Sheldon screamed as he started to hyperventilate which immediately earned him a slap upside the head from Leonard.
“ Would you shut up you crazy bastard?! This is not the time for you to act nuts! Some knucklehead just rammed my car!”, Leonard hissed.
“ Yes I can see that but who in the name of Einstein would do that?!”, Sheldon screamed.
“ Michaela Janet Mansfield where the hell are you at you stupid bi*ch?!”, an aggressive man’s voice suddenly shouted angrily when he stepped out of the truck with a crowbar. He was wearing an orange prison jumpsuit.
“ Oh my god it’s Bruce! He’s gonna kill me!”, Michaela screamed in terror as she sat in the back seat of Leonard’s car staring through the windshield at her abusive ex-boyfriend who was now approaching Leonard’s car slapping the crowbar against his palm like a gangbanger as if he was getting ready to hit someone with it.
“ Alright don’t panic, just let Leonard and I handle this!”, Sheldon interjected as he took his seatbelt off and was about to open the door but Leonard interjected, “ Are you insane Sheldon?! I’m not going out there, you go out there!”
“ Excuse me but I’m not insane my mother had me tested and secondly, what are you whining about?! Have I taught you nothing about standing up for yourself after a former bully of yours was staying with us on a previous occasion and was eating our food while calling you by the name of Nancy?!”, Sheldon interjected as he narrowed his eyes at him.
“ I shoved him once and he chased us for it down our building’s stairs! I hardly count that as standing up for myself Sheldon! This situation is different however and I for one do not want to get my ass kicked by Michaela’s criminal abusive ex of a boyfriend!”, Leonard interjected.
“ I do not wish for that to happen to me either but it’s either us or Michaela that gets hurt and I do not wish for it to be Michaela because she’s already been through enough abuse from this guy as it is! So just suck up whatever courage you have Leonard and let’s go confront him!”, Sheldon interjected.
“ Alright fine you win Sheldon! Let’s get out!”, Leonard hissed as he threw open his door and got out slamming the door behind him with Sheldon following suit.
“ Where the f*ck is my girlfriend nerdheads?!”, Bruce angrily shouted as he stood in front of the two physicists banging the crowbar against his palm.
“ Nerdheads?! Is that what you think we are Bruce?!”, Leonard shouted.
“ Yes because that’s what you look like to me! I said where the f*ck is my girlfriend Michaela?! You better start talking or you two are going to really get it, meaning you two are going to be sleeping with the fishes after I’m through with you!”, Bruce shouted in anger as he raised the crowbar over his head threatening to hit them with it.
“ Well that’s a fine how do you do! For your information, Michaela is not your girlfriend anymore! She’s my girlfriend now and you are most certainly not supposed to be here! You’re supposed to be in prison for what you did to her and you’re not supposed to have any contact with her under any circumstances! I suggest you leave right now before my best friend and I are forced to call the proper law enforcement authorities and have you arrested!”, Sheldon shouted angrily as he got up in Bruce’s face.
“ Shut up Sheldon! I ain’t going back to that hellhole! It’s just filled with a bunch of idiots and they’re too nosy!”, Bruce shouted in anger.
“ Well too bad because you’re going back there anyway!”, Sheldon shouted in anger as he continued getting up in Bruce’s face.
“ Get out of my face you a**hole!”, Bruce shouted in anger as he tried to run away.
“ Hey where do you think you’re going you miscreant criminal?! You’re not getting away from me, come here!”, Sheldon shouted as he sprinted across the road after Bruce and knocked him to the ground putting him in somewhat of a half nelson hold which made Bruce angrily shout, “ Get the hell off me Sheldon Cooper! Leave me alone!” as he was trying to break free from Sheldon’s grip on him to no avail.
“ Excuse me?!”, Sheldon shouted in anger as he continued struggling with Bruce in his grasp.
“ Yeah that’s right, I found out about your stupid last name now too! You are so dead for stealing my girlfriend!”, Bruce shouted in anger as he kept trying to get away from Sheldon.
“ Well for your information Bruce Wiley Gustovson I did not steal your girlfriend because based off of how you previously treated her she really wasn’t yours to begin with let alone anybody’s! Secondly, my last name is not stupid and thirdly that’s Dr. Sheldon Cooper to you! I’m a theoretical physicist with a brilliant IQ of 187 and I have 2 Ph.Ds! I have a working knowledge of the entire universe and I can tell you right now that you will get absolutely nowhere in life with this kind of behavior! Do you understand me?! What you did to Michaela was very uncalled for and she most certainly didn’t deserve to be treated like your personal punching bag! Same goes for Oakley and Max! They’re just innocent sweet animals that don’t deserve to be treated poorly as well!”, Sheldon shouted in anger as he continued wrestling around with Bruce on the ground to keep him subdued.
“ I don’t give a flying crapshoot! Let go of me and leave me alone Dr. Sheldon Cooper!”, Bruce shouted in anger as he was trying to punch Sheldon in the head to get him to let go of him.
“ Yes well I do and no I will not let go of you! You know what I’ve had enough of this, Leonard call the cops! Now!”, Sheldon shouted as he was trying to tighten his restraining hold on Bruce.
“ Well can’t you do that Sheldon?!”, Leonard shouted.
“ I currently have him in a half nelson right now! What in the name of Sir Issac Newton’s Law do you think Leonard Hofstadter?!”, Sheldon shouted.
“ Alright you have a good point, I’ll call them!”, Leonard shouted as he took his cell phone out of his pocket and started dialing 9.1.1.
“ Good and hurry! I don’t know how much longer I can hold him!”, Sheldon shouted.
“ Oh my god!”, Michaela screamed when she stepped out of Leonard’s car slapping her hand over her mouth.
“ You! I’m gonna kill you for ruinning my life!”, Bruce shouted in anger at Michaela as he still tried to get away from Sheldon.
“ No you will not! It’s ok Michaela I got him! Just get back in the car, Leonard’s calling the cops on him!”, Sheldon shouted.
“ Are you sure about this Sheldon?!”, Michaela screamed.
“ Yes I’m most certainly sure, just get back in the car! Bruce is not going to hurt you, I won’t let him! I’d kill him before he would get even the slightest chance to hurt you again after what he did to you!”, Sheldon shouted.
“ Ok!”, Michaela screamed as she got back in the car and shut the door. Leonard called the Pasadena Police explaining what was going on and within minutes of making the call first officers showed up to the scene and while some made their way over to where Sheldon had Bruce in a half nelson on the ground in the middle of the road other officers started directing traffic away from the scene.
“ I said get the fuck off me!”, Bruce shouted in anger as he kept trying to hit Sheldon in the head with his fist but no matter what he did he couldn’t get Sheldon to let go of him.
“ No this what you get for everything you’ve done to your ex-girlfriend who is now my girlfriend!”, Sheldon shouted in anger as he continued to hold a tight grip on Bruce to keep him from escaping.
“ She was my girlfriend first you idiot!”, Bruce shouted in anger.
“ Excuse me but doing what you did to Michaela is not a relationship! That’s not how a boyfriend treats his girlfriend!”, Sheldon shouted in anger.
“ Shut the m**her f**king hell up Sheldon!”, Bruce shouted in anger.
“ Ok sir let go let go! We got him!”, one of the officers interjected as him and his fellow brothers and sisters in blue grabbed a hold of Bruce too started standing Bruce up on his feet after Sheldon released him.
“ Oh thank you officers! I was about ready to pass out!”, Sheldon exclaimed in relief as he was trying to catch his breath while the other officers were pinning Bruce’s arms behind his back.
“ Well don’t do that on us! That won’t be good for anybody!”, one of the female officers said.
“ That’s most certainly true.”, Sheldon said.
“ Hey get your filthy hands off me! Don’t touch me!”, Bruce shouted in anger as his wrists were slapped with handcuffs.
“ You just shut your mouth Gustovson! You’re in a lot more trouble now for trying to escape from prison and trying to attack these two men as well as your former girlfriend Ms. Michaela Mansfield!”, another female officer shouted at him.
“ So I don’t care! Michaela’s the one that started it after she BROKE UP WITH ME AND DIDN’T GIVE ME A GOOD REASON FOR DOING SO!”, Bruce shouted in anger as he was trying to break free from the officers that were restraining him with the handcuffs.
“ Um hello I broke up with you Bruce because you’ve treated me as well as our pets Max and Oakley like crap for years and I was sick of it! And on top of that you tried to murder me after you sent your stupid little friends to rob my grocery store where I work and set it on fire while I was working as well as my coworkers and my boss! You guys really could have killed us as well as several customers, Max and Oakley and even SHELDON! So you know what, I’m glad that you and I broke up and that I’m dating Sheldon now because he treats me way better than you ever did! He’s a way better boyfriend to me than you were and I love him! You on the other hand Bruce Wiley Gustovson can go to HELL!”, Michaela shouted in anger when she got out of Leonard’s car to butt in the conversation and confrontation.
“ I don’t need to go there, you do you stupid bi*chin’ c*nt!”, Bruce shouted in anger at his ex-girlfriend.
“ Would you quit calling me that vulgar c word?! That is so disrespectful!”, Michaela shouted in anger at her ex-boyfriend.
“ Shut up I’ll call you whatever the hell I want Michaela Janet Mansfield! You owe me for this crap!”, Bruce shouted in anger.
“ I owe you nothing you jackass!”, Michaela shouted in anger.
“ Yes I most certainly agree with that! Officers please just get him out of here now!”, Sheldon interjected.
“ Yeah get him out of here before he hurts somebody else!”, Leonard interjected.
“ Of course. Come on dirtbag let’s go!”, another male officer interjected as he was hauling Bruce away towards one of the squad cars with the other officers following behind.
“ Who are you calling a dirtbag, dirtbag?!”, Bruce shouted in anger as he spit in the officer’s face.
“ I’m calling you that Bruce now just shut up and get in the vehicle and do not spit in my face! You do that again and I’ll subdue you! You got it?!”, the officer shouted as he gruffly shoved Bruce in the back of the cop car.
“ Fine whatever d*ckhead!”, Bruce shouted in anger before the door was slammed shut on him. As some of the officers left to transport Bruce back to prison another officer who was still there asked, “ Do either of you need to go to the hospital for any reason?”
“ No we’re fine thank you officer but we do need a ride home however because Bruce rammed the front of my car with his truck.”, Leonard said.
“ No problem at all, we can give you a lift.”, the officer said as he gestured to himself and his partner.
“ Thank you that’s greatly appreciated.”, Sheldon said as he gently rested his hands on Michaela’s shoulders as she started to cry. Leonard’s car and Bruce’s truck were taken to the nearest shop for repairs while Sheldon, Leonard and Michaela were driven to Michaela’s house by the two officers that agreed to give them a lift. Once they got there Sheldon and Michaela stepped out into the driveway and Sheldon told the officers to just drive Leonard home so that he could stay with Michaela for a while to which they agreed and drove off. Sheldon then led Michaela up the steps of the front porch, took the keys from her unlocking the door and walked her inside as she continued crying. She was still in shock from what happened that she felt like she couldn’t focus on anything else.
“ I can’t believe Bruce just broke out of prison and tried to kill you, Leonard, and I after ramming his truck into Leonard’s car like that for no reason at all! Bruce just really took his abuse to a whole new level and it sucks!”, Michaela cried.
“ Shhhhh calm down, it’s alright. He’s going back to prison where he belongs.”, Sheldon said as he embraced her and gently rubbed her back in a soothing way. Michaela tried to calm down but she was crying so much that her legs felt like they were going to give out on her which didn’t go unnoticed.
“ Ok you know what I think you need to go lay down for a little while.”, Sheldon said.
“ Lay down?!”, Michaela cried as she was suddenly gently lifted off her feet by Sheldon when he picked her up into his arms.
“ Yes lay down as in you’re taking a nap.”, Sheldon said as he carried her into her bedroom and started tucking her into her bed.
“ What?! But I don’t want to…!”, Michaela cried but was interrupted when Sheldon said, “ Shhhhh, Michaela do not argue with me. You’ve been standing on your feet all morning at your job and you’re clearly very exhausted. I do not wish for you to get very sick and end up in the hospital again from a lack of sleep. That would really make me upset if that were to happen to you.”, Sheldon said as he took out a set of latex gloves and slipped them on his hands. Then he took out a syringe with a needle on it and a rubber tie off from his back pocket and tied the rubber tie off to one of Michaela’s arms that was resting at her side as she laid in bed crying. He then gently wiped an alcohol wipe over her bulged out vein, took the syringe cap off the needle with the side of his teeth and said, “ Ok just relax your arm for a second, you’re going to feel a slight pinch and 1,2,3.” as he inserted the needle into her arm.
“ Ow! That hurts Sheldon!”, Michaela cried as she felt the substance in the syringe being gently plunged into her bloodstream.
“ I know Michaela it only hurts for a second but shhhh, it’s nap time. Trust me, after a little bit of rest you’ll feel so much better.”, Sheldon said as he finished injecting the sedative into his girlfriend’s arm and removed the needle.
“ Ok!”, Michaela cried out but then let the last of her tears fall from her face as she started to get sleepy from the sedative that her boyfriend injected into her arm.
“ There you go, just go to sleep. I’ll be out in the living room if you need me.”, Sheldon said as he placed a bandaid over the injection site and tucked Michaela’s arm back under the covers after he removed the rubber tie from her arm as she let herself finally doze off. Max and Oakley came wandering in there moments later jumping onto the bed with Max curling up on his owner’s feet at the foot of the bed and Oakley curling up on her owner’s stomach with her paws gently resting on her owner’s chest. Both pets then fell asleep too with their butts touching each other.
“ I love you.”, Sheldon whispered with a smile in Michaela’s ear and kissed her head before he stripped the gloves off his hands and threw them away into the wastebasket along with the other items. He then walked out of the room and shut the door. Sheldon walked out into the living room and as he sat down on the couch to watch tv Michaela’s phone started ringing on the kitchen counter.
“ Hello?”, Sheldon answered it after grabbing it off the counter.
“ Oh… hi Sheldon, it’s Reghan. Where’s my sister? Is she ok?”, Reghan asked when she answered back.
“ Oh yes she’s fine Reghan, she’s just taking a nap at the moment. Shall I tell her you called when she wakes up?”, Sheldon said.
“ Yeah just tell her that I have something to ask her and that I’ll call her later.”, Reghan said.
“ Alright I will. Goodbye.”, Sheldon said.
“ Bye.”, Reghan said before she hung up. Sheldon then went to sit back down to watch some more tv before he decided to do a few chores to make his girlfriend’s house look a little bit more clean. A few hours later Michaela woke up from her nap feeling much better and decided to call her sister Reghan back after Sheldon told her that she called. Then later that evening after Leonard had told the others about what had happened to him, Sheldon and Michaela with regards to Bruce and what he did Penny suggested that they all go out for the night at a nightclub to get their minds off of the uncalled for situation that had taken place earlier that day. Sheldon sat at a table with his noise-cancelling earbuds in his ears talking to Leonard, Howard, Raj and Stuart while Penny, Bernadette, Amy and Michaela were out on the dancefloor dancing like 4 crazy drunk women. As they were dancing Michaela suddenly bumped into her best friend Midge who had apparently decided to go out for a night of fun as well.
“ Hey bestie! What’s up?!”, Midge exclaimed as she was dancing around the dancefloor.
“ Not much Midge! What are you doing here?!”, Michaela exclaimed.
“ Oh I thought I’d come out for a night of fun!”, Midge exclaimed.
“ Really, me too! Along with my new friends here!”, Michaela exclaimed as she pointed at her new group of friends that she was hanging out with.
“ Michaela is this your best friend that you were telling us about that got chased away from your life by Bruce?!”, Penny exclaimed as she came over to the two women along with Amy and Bernadette.
“ Yeah Penny this is my best friend Midge Rowlenstein! Midge this is Penny, Amy, Bernadette, you obviously already know my boyfriend Sheldon who’s over there, that’s Leonard, that’s Howard, that’s Raj and that’s Stuart!”, Michaela exclaimed as she pointed again introducing everybody to each other.
“ Hi!”, the others exclaimed as they waved at her.
“ Hi it’s nice to meet everybody, I’m Midge Rowlenstein!”, Midge exclaimed. They all decided to talk and hang out with each other for the rest of the night. Then 3 days later Michaela drove to work after her car was repaired and walked into the store to start her shift stocking some shelves before she headed to her register to ring up the customers items. Occassionally she had some conversations with her coworkers and her boss throughout the day and at the end of the day she drove home, went inside and heated herself up a frozen pizza for dinner. Once the pizza was cooked she grabbed a few slices, poured herself a glass of wine and sat down in the living room to watch tv as she ate her dinner. Max and Oakley were lazing about on the floor in the middle of the room with Max was licking his paws while Oakley was chewing on one of her bones. But as Michaela was watching the tv Oakley suddenly dropped her bone and jumped up on all fours letting out a low growling barking sound at the window behind Michaela when she suddenly saw someone’s black ski mask covered face pop up in a low corner of the window outside the house looking into the house. Her tail was jerking back and forth almost like a cat’s tail which immediately didn’t go unnoticed by Michaela.
“ Oakley what’s wrong? Why are you doing that?”, Michaela asked in confusion as she stared at her dog who kept on making that same sound while looking at the window.
“ Is there someone outside that you’re barking at? Let me see.”, Michaela said as she turned her head around behind her to look outside but didn’t see anything. The individual that had been there had quickly booked it out of sight.
“ Oakley there’s no one out there. Chill out.”, Michaela said when she turned back around to continue watching tv. Oakley immediately shut up and went back to chewing on her bone but a few minutes later the same individual popped his head up again in the corner of the window outside causing Oakley to jump up again making that same noise at the window.
“ Oakley Mansfield, quiet! I said there’s no one out there! Go back to chewing on your bone!”, Michaela scolded as she held her wine glass in one hand and a pizza slice in the other. But no sooner that she said that was when her window behind her was suddenly shattered with a hammer causing the ADT security system that she had installed to start shrieking as she jumped off the couch screaming in terror with her pizza slice being flung against a wall and her wine glass shattering on the floor. Max let out a loud kitty screech as he scattered out of the room while Oakley started barking and growling aggressively at the individual who suddenly came in through the shattered window pane.
“ You’re dead bitch!”, Bruce shouted as he came at Michaela with the hammer raised above his head.
“ Oh my god no! Bruce get away from me and get out of my house! What the hell are you doing?!”, Michaela screamed as she was being beaten with the hammer but then she managed to get away from him, took Max and Oakley and ran to her bedroom, baracading herself in there as blood was dripping from her wounds. As she was trying to catch her breath her cell phone rang and it was ADT calling her. She answered with fear in her voice that her ex-boyfriend had just broken into her house and attacked her with a hammer to which the dispatcher said that the police were being dispatched right away. Once the police got there Bruce tried to get away but was immediately apprehended while Michaela was transported to the hospital for her injuries. Once the word got around of what happened Michaela’s family as well as the others including Midge showed up at the hospital to see her.
“ Good Lord woman, what in the name of Einstein happened to you?!”, Sheldon asked in concern as he looked at his girlfriend’s injuries.
“ Who do you think?! It was Bruce! He escaped again, broke into my house while I was sitting on the couch watching tv and eating my dinner and attacked me with a hammer!”, Michaela cried.
“ Oh my god!”, Penny gasped.
“ That jerk!”, Amy and Bernadette shrieked.
“ He didn’t attack your pets too did he?!”, Howard shrieked.
“ No he didn’t, thank god for that Howard! He just attacked me!”, Michaela cried.
“ Oh for god sakes!”, Leonard hissed as he rolled his eyes.
“ Well this doesn’t make any sense! How did this guy even find your house?!”, Stuart shrieked.
“ I don’t know Stuart! He probably stalked me which is the only reason I can explain how he would know where I live now! What am I going to do?! I don’t want to have to move again! I just got this house!”, Michaela cried.
“ Well I have the only solution to this, file a death penalty against Bruce! It’s very obvious that this guy has a major psychological obsession with you and if he’s kept alive in prison he’s just going to keep escaping and try to seriously hurt you and/or kill you!”, Sheldon interjected.
“ You really think doing that is going to resolve everything Dr. Cooper?!”, Michaela cried.
“ Yes I do! You got lucky this time but the next time if there is one you might not be and I don’t want to end up having a funeral for someone I love!”, Sheldon interjected.
“ Yes Sheldon’s right sweetheart, we don’t want to lose you! You, Max and Oakley don’t need to be constantly dealing with this very dangerous person! He’s going to end up killing you and them if you don’t do something about it!”, Mrs. Mansfield cried.
“ Yes I agree! Hell this guy is a complete douchebag and I think the proper justice for him is for him to die! That way he can’t harm you or anybody else anymore!”, Mr. Mansfield hissed.
“ Yeah just tell the justice system to kill him Michaela! We’re sick of him trying to ruin our lives!”, Matthew, Charlie, Kira, Mavis, Evie and Reghan exclaimed.
“ Ok you’re right, I should have done that right from the start but I was just so afraid to! I now realize that he’s never going to get better so yeah just get me the death penalty form and I’ll sign it! I don’t want to keep dealing with this madhouse!”, Michaela cried. Matthew offered to go pick one up from a local law firm and when he came back with it he handed it to his sister along with a pen.
“ Thank you Matthew!”, Micahela cried as she started to fill out the form with all of Bruce’s personal information that she knew and signed her name at the bottom. The form was then taken to a courthouse where a judge signed off on it as well before Bruce was transfered to death row. It was decided that he was going to actually be executted that night in order to prevent him from trying to break out and hurt Michaela again. He was put to death by lethal injection. The next morning after Michaela and the others had been notified that Bruce was now dead a huge sigh of relief began to wash over them. They knew that it was finally over and that he couldn’t hurt anyone ever again. Michaela was then released from the hospital after she recovered fairly quickly from her injuries and was allowed to go back home. Shortly after getting home she invited everyone she knew including her family over to her house for a celebration party. The song playing on the radio was Livin’ La Vida Loca by Ricky Martin.
“ This is awesome, I can’t believe it! Bruce is finally gone from the face of existance!”, Michaela exclaimed.
“ Hell yeah he is bestie! Burn in hell forever to that jerk!”, Midge exclaimed.
“ Yippie ki-yay bi*ches!”, Penny exclaimed.
“ YEAH!”, Midge, Michaela, Amy, Bernadette, Penny, Kira, Mavis, Evie and Reghan exclaimed as they clinked their wine glasses together.
“ You suck Bruce Wiley Gustovson! Good riddence to you, you asshole!”, Michaela exclaimed at the ceiling.
“ Oh Leroy this is so nice to see our daughter Michaela so happy again!”, Mrs. Mansfield exclaimed.
“ That it is Julie, that it is! I love you!”, Mr. Mansfield said.
“ I love you too!”, Mrs. Mansfield said with a smile as she kissed her husband.
