CHAPTER XXXIV
Julian wriggled, stretching and arching his back against the pleasant weight on it. Garak rumbled softly in his sleep. Julian rolled over, gently shifting the snoozing Cardassian back. Garak rolled to his back with a loud hiss. His hand flopped, reaching for Julian. Julian shifted closer to him. He reached out and touched the heart plate. It was the safest place to begin touching a sleeping Cardassian, according to Tskara. Garak turned his head toward Julian. His eyes were closed and his breathing remained steady as Julian crawled closer, leaning up against the sturdy man. Julian's cock twitched as he slid his hand out along the clavicular ridge and up to the neck ridge. He leaned his face in close to Garak's. He would give Garak a pleasant wake up. A soft hiss emanated from Garak as Julian continued his gentle ministrations. Julian bit back his moan, sliding down the firm body, kissing and licking as he went. He caught Garak's hands, interlocking their fingers. He continued kissing the ridge lines with sighs as he saw them darkening. Garak moaned, arching off the bed when Julian stroked over the protective cloacal plate that guarded his penis when it was not in use. Julian stroked a fingertip softly over the slit as it darkened. He dropped his mouth and kissed over it. Garak slowly began everting. His hands reflexively squeezed Julian's. Julian smiled, licking the cock as it emerged. Garak's hips bucked. Julian soothingly massaged back to the base of the spine. Garak relaxed with a deep rumble. His eyes were still closed. His breathing was even. He moved a little, stirring almost awake. “Shush,” Julian said, crawling up Garak. He hoped to wake the Cardassian with an orgasm. He stroked over Garak's face, settling on his chest to warm him. “Shush. It's just me.” Garak relaxed, turning his head to the side and closing his eyes for more sleep. He moved an arm up, and wrapped it around Julian's waist. His hand slid down over Julian's ass. Julian bit his lip, burying his face in a pillow to stifle the moan as the hand gave a gentle squeeze. He never realized how much he enjoyed having his backside touched slowly. His morning erection throbbed, and he pressed tighter to Garak for a moment. Garak's hand dropped away and his rumbling grew softer. Julian lifted up, supporting his weight on his hands. He leaned in, kissing over the ocular ridges. He moved down and cupped Garak's cock. Garak's rumbling grew louder and ended on a slightly higher note. His body wriggled, and he kicked the sheets back. Julian wrapped his lips around Garak and began sucking enthusiastically at the sweet flavor. His cock throbbed at the rumbling Garak was making. Julian hummed around the flesh, stroking with his hands what his mouth could not take. He teased and licked. Garak's hips arched for the mouth. He rumbled louder as his head rolled. Julian wiggled upward and moved his hands to the neck ridges. He stroked them, rubbing his body against Garak. “You feel so good, Elim,” Julian whispered next to Garak's ear. He stroked every ridge, caressed them with his tongue and lips. Julian teased the scales with his fingers. He left a soft trail of wet kisses along Garak's jaw. Garak lifted his hands to grip the human. He held him softly, rumbling as he slipped in and out of being half asleep and mostly awake. Julian slipped down, seeing Garak waking up. He gripped the erection firmly and slid his mouth over it. He sucked on the organ, making soft noises in his throat as he felt the organ swell more and larger. Garak's hands slid around on what he could touch of Julian. His eyes snapped open as Julian's hands slid over the sensitive lines of medial scales on his upper legs. He cocked his legs. Julian slid down, bobbing his head and applying greater suction as Garak twisted and rumbled. “Julian,” Garak said, rubbing his hands firmly over the golden back as the mouth doubled its efforts. He whimpered, cupping Julian's chin. “Julian, please. I need to touch you.” Julian sucked harder. He did not answer. Garak lifted harder. He was getting so aroused that it was becoming a little painful. He needed to get Julian arranged better so Julian could be given his orgasm. Julian wrapped his arms insistently around Garak's thighs. He was determined not to be dislodged. Garak bit his lip. The human was torturing him. He gasped sharply, as pain licked at his nerves. He wiggled on the bed. He had a hypo in the drawer next to the bed. It was mortifying to have to use that when he had so lovely a partner here. Julian tugged him back, withdrawing from the Cardassian. Garak's body was tense, and he was barely able to move. Last night, Garak eagerly encouraged oral pleasuring. “Garak, what's wrong?” Julian's arousal faded. “Garak, are you in pain?” Garak's eyes were clenched shut. The human's mouth had been the only thing making his arousal slightly bearable. He needed to please Julian. But the pain was so intense. He hissed. He could not please Julian in this pain. Julian stroked his face. “Garak, damn it. Are you alright?” Julian petted Garak's hair, touching a pulsing vein in his forehead. Garak managed a small headshake. “What's wrong? None of your evasiveness. Let me help you.” “Hypo,” Garak said, moving his eyes in the direction of the nightstand drawer with the hypo. Julian quickly moved and grabbed it and the tricorder that was there. He scanned over Garak. Pain receptors all over his body were firing. “Garak, what's wrong?” Julian said, scanning the hypo and reading only an unknown Cardassian hormone. “Hypo, Julian. My medial scale line on my right thigh. Please,” Garak bit his lip as a burning sensation centered in his groin spread. Julian pressed the hypo to the scale line Garak indicated, administering it. Garak shuddered, pulling Julian across his lap as he came. Julian gasped. He stroked Garak's leg, dipping his head to kiss along the hip ridge. Garak was silent. He slid his hands possessively over Julian before pushing him away as his orgasm finished. He rolled away from the human. He shamed himself. Julian would surely nag him. Julian sat up and moved for Garak. He placed his hands on the scapular ridges. He slid closer, pressing himself to the firm back. Garak rested quietly. The human was not nagging him or complaining. Why? Julian slid a hand up into the silky black hair. He blinked rapidly. He never wanted to hurt Garak. How had he caused Garak pain? He stroked the left neck ridge, hoping that it would comfort Garak. “What happened, Garak? I'm confused.” Julian stroked the neck ridge more softly. Garak jerked away, standing. He moved quickly toward the bathroom. He had shamed himself, and Julian had seen. Julian would figure it out. Julian would use the information to hurt him. He would have to get rid of Julian. He could not even sell him now. He could hurt someone. “Garak, where are you going?” Julian followed Garak, pushing his way into the bathroom as Garak tried to shut the door on him. He stopped when he saw Garak leaning against the counter. Garak stared at Julian's reflection in the mirror. He wanted to keep Julian. But Julian had nearly incapacitated him with pain. Julian knew so many of his secrets, somehow. It was nice to share them with someone. He always looked down on some of the silly customs of the dying, but now he felt he could understand at least one of them. Julian blinked rapidly, moving toward Garak. He caused the Cardassian pain. He never meant to do that. He just wanted to show Garak that he cared and wanted to pleasure him equally. Yours will facilitate mine. Julian heard the words in the back of his mind. Had Garak been literal? That made little sense. How could that be literal? Garak stared at the human's wide brown eyes. They were shining brighter as he approached Garak. Julian blinked more and raced back to the bedroom, grabbing the tricorder and returning. If only he had more equipment, he would be able to better help Garak. “Are you still in pain?” he asked, moving it around and checking everything. The pain receptors had stopped firing, and hormone levels were returning slowly to normal except for the odd one that had been present the day after Garak's exposure to the extreme cold. It was very present in a small area of Garak's brain where it was always present. Some Cardassian neuro-chemical signal. “How do you feel?” “Fine,” Garak said, reaching for Julian. He had to get rid of Julian. He nudged his face into the slender neck. “That hormone or neuro-chemical is present again, Garak. I wish you would tell me the function. I am so sorry I hurt you. Please. Please tell me what I did. I'll never do it again. I just wanted to please you,” Julian said, putting the tricorder on the sink and wrapping his arms around Garak. Garak shifted. It could not hurt to tell Julian. He was going to kill him. He still needed him, though, for the time being. As soon as he finished the mission with the Dukats, Garak pulled Julian closer. He could trust sweet Julian some. The human had proven himself yesterday. Julian definitely cared for him. Maybe...maybe he was telling the truth. Unimaginative—but refreshing. Julian snuggled his face in Garak's neck. He reached a hand up, touching the side of the Cardassian's face. He felt tears in his eyes that he blinked back. Garak shifted, pulling the human back to look into his eyes. He felt a slight wetness on his neck. “Julian, why are you crying?” Garak stared at Julian. He stroked over Julian checking for any injuries. “Do you need anything?” Julian blinked back the wetness. “I did not want to hurt you.” “I know,” Garak soothed. Was Julian distressed by him in pain? He was a fascinating creature, much too lovely and interesting to kill. He could perhaps lead Julian to some inferences. “I'm fine. It's my fault. You wanted to please me. I should have explained better to you.” Garak pinched his face a little in pain at his own honesty and at the thought of Julian with a hole in his chest after being hit with a phaser set to kill. He tugged Julian closer. Julian would not be killed—with a phaser or a knife. It was too savage. “Explained what?” Julian asked, pulling back to look at him. He had never caused physical pain to a friend. “Why don't we discuss this somewhere more comfortable?” Julian nodded, following Garak. The Cardassian was likely going to spin out an elaborate web of lies. At least it would be entertaining. Garak sighed, directing the human onto the bed. He leaned back on the pillows he arranged in the middle of the bed. Julian sighed, allowing himself to be directed between the Cardassian's legs. “What happened Garak?” “I'm going to tell you a story.” Julian was quiet. He rested, looking up at Garak. He shoved the thoughts away of his Garak for the moment. He could not do anything for his Garak, if there was really a distinction between the Garaks. He had this one, and his had not been sure of whether they would see each other again. Garak was Garak. He rested his chin on his hands. “Once upon a time,” Garak began. “when the ancient Hebitians first worshiped the goddess Oralius and sorcery was prevalent, Cardassia was quite different. The cooler forests, now so sparse, covered the deserts that dominate the landscape today. The climate was warm and very moist where most Hebitians made their homes.” Julian sighed, wiggling a little. He moved his hands to Garak's arms for a minute. “In those days, there was a man named Mikos. Mikos was the leader of the first Lokarian City. He was a great man, a brilliant tactician. He conquered and unified the planet.” Julian snuggled more. Garak reached down and tugged the covers over them, resting his hands on Julian's shoulders. He rubbed gently as he continued the story. “He was powerful. As it is with powerful men, he took what he wanted without question. Questions of themselves or questions of the wisdom of their action is complicated for men of action. He took the lands he wanted for hunting and growing crops, enforced the taxes he wanted for the running of his palace at the heart of the city, married the women he wanted to bear his children and had relations with any that suited his taste. He never questioned anything beyond his base desires. One day, when he had returned from a successful hunt, he saw Koridis. He instantly desired her. So he took what he wanted. His guards seized her and dragged her to the palace.” Julian shivered a little. He moved up so he could feel the vibrations of Garak's voice resonating in the Cardassian chest. “Unfortunately for Mikos, Koridis was not an ordinary woman. She was the Guide of the Oralian way, and a powerful sorceress. She was a most breathtaking woman, the most beautiful woman Cardassia ever had or ever will have. Her eyes were the pale blue of Cardassian diamonds from the mountain mines. “She was locked in Mikos' rooms where her beauty would be kept for him alone. “Mikos went to her every day, and every day he would ask her to be his bride.” Julian looked up at Garak's face as he felt a strong hand cup the back of his neck. He placed his hand on Garak's elbow, stroking the fine scales. “Every day she denied him, even when he would return from conquering cities in her name. Steadily his wrath grew. He had conquered all of Cardassia. He did it all for her. He offered her as much as half the planet in return for her heart and a place in her bed. She would rebuke him and tell him he was nothing to her. She said he had every other women in his bed, and he could have no real need for her. “After ten years of this treatment, Mikos went to her on the night of the winter solstice, the coldest day of the Cardassian year. He asked her again to be his bride, or he would make her his bride.” Julian wiggled closer, listening intently. Why had Garak never shared these folk stories with him? They must not be considered worth much time by Cardassians. Garak rubbed the human. He was a lovely little listener, when he wanted to be. “Koridis laughed at him. 'If you try to take what is not yours, you and all yours will pay the price.' “Mikos pushed her to the bed gently. 'I have everything. I have children in every Cardassian city. I will live forever.'” Julian shifted forward. He stroked Garak. He was with his Garak. He needed to stop trying to separate them in his mind. He cared for Garak. This was Garak. The fact that he knew what kind of man Garak would become was irrelevant. Getting to know who Garak had been was satisfying. Julian looked up at Garak. His eyes widened a little as Garak paused, shifting him to the side on the bed. He pressed to Garak's side, placing his head on the broad shoulder. “Mikos seduced her. He spent the whole night with her in his arms. He rose the next morning. “'I hope it was worth it. You have brought my spell on all your sons and to their sons through them.' “'You are my wife. I would give my kingdom for you.'” Julian stroked Garak's neck ridge. Garak tightened his arm. “'You will give much more.' Koridis promised. Her eyes glowed like the heart of a flame as Mikos left her room, locking the door behind him. “The next night, Mikos went to another of his wives. Try as he would, he found no relief with her. His pain was intense. He collapsed from it. He blamed the woman and had her thrown from the house. He was full of anger through the next day. He went to another wife for relief, and no pleasure came. The third morning with no relief, he stormed into Koridis' room. She was staring out the window. She turned calmly to him. “'This is your doing,' Mikos said in a soft voice, taking Koridis' arm. He pulled her into his arms, feeling relief from his pains as he rested his his face against her neck. “Koridis wrapped her arms around Mikos and held him, sliding her hands over his back to ease his tension and strain.” Julian slid his fingers into the Cardassian's hair. Garak turned, looking into the large dark eyes. He shifted a little, moving his hand to rest on Julian's thigh. “'Oralius has chosen to use your lust as an instrument for her love. Your children are spread through every city on the planet. They will lead the way toward the new Cardassian family. One father, one mother, and respect for grandparents. Love will be extended equally by the unit.' “'I don't believe a man can be satisfied with a single woman.' Mikos said. But he was still in her arms, holding her close as he rubbed his nose along her neck. “It took time for Mikos to accept the way of things. But he loved Koridis, and their children. He found contentment and greater satisfaction and pleasure in her arms than he ever found in all his other lovers combined.” Julian was quiet at the conclusion of the story. “So there is some sort of gene that Cardassian females selected for in mates that resulted in a males that promotes monogamous behaviors as well as some sort of hormone problem that inhibits ejaculation. It likely resulted in higher survival rate of Cardassian children, the partner devotion. Children that then passed the mutation on to their children.” “No, the sorceress cursed all the descendants of Mikos, weren't you listening?” Julian smiled. “It is a good story. I liked it. But I do have a question.” Garak rolled on top of Julian, tangling their legs together. “Make it quick. We have to get you ready to go see Palira and Mekor. I will be staying to keep an eye on you for the day, discreetly, of course. Minister Dukat has asked me to do some work out of their home.” “I have known many Cardassians who are womanizers. How do you explain them, within the context?” “While societal pressures are what they are, not everyone does conform. As I understand it, humans have a variety of deviants and individuals with disorders. Womanizing Cardassians are considered deviant, unless they are far from home on alien worlds most of their time. And of course, there are developmental problems creating a greater susceptibility to aberrant sexual behaviors.” Julian nodded, “You are a descendant of Mikos, though, aren't you Garak?” “That would be two questions," Garak said, placing a kiss on Julian's Adam's apple. "Now, we really must prepare for our day. I will keep a close eye on you. You have my word.” Julian leaned up and kissed Garak softly on the mouth, resting his hands lightly on the neck ridges. ~-~-~*~-~-~*~-~-~*~-~-~*~-~-~*~-~-~*~-~-~*~-~-~*~-~-~*~-~-~*~-~-~*~-~-~*~-~-~*~-~-~*~-~-~
