Vesta's Crown
Clark ran into the hospital emergency room.
“ Sir I’ll take her”.
“ What happen?’’
She was trapped in a fire, and she is having a hard time breathing”.
She hurried , and gave Vesta some oxygen.
A few minutes later Lana , Lois , and Chloe arrived .
“ Daddy I can breath better now.”
“ Okay sweetheart , but still keep the mask on”.
The Dr came in the room.
“ Hello little lady”.
“ My name is Dr. Wilder”.
“ I have to get your temperature, and check your breathing”.
“ Sir her breathing is a little sallow, but she should be okay in a few minutes smoke inhalation is very dangerous”.
“ A nurse will be in shortly with some paper work for you to sign”.
“ Thank you very much Dr. Wilder” , said Lana .
“ Daddy I want to go home”.
“ Baby we have to wait for the nurse to get back in here”.
A few minutes later they were on their way home.
Shelby , and Acheron met them at the drive”.
“ Clark I’ll go get her blanket just lay her on the couch”.
Lana cover her up ,and sat at the table with Clark.
A few minutes later Martha , Lois , Chloe came in the front door.
The phone rings.
“ Hello Mrs. Kent”.
“ Hello Oliver how are you?”
“ I’m doing fine”.
“ I have something special for Vesta”.
“ I’ll bring it in the morning”.
“ Okay we’ll see you then”.
The next morning Vesta woke up in her bed.
After breakfast there was a knock on the door.
“ I’ll get it said Vesta jumping out of her seat.
“ Hey Ollie”.
He picks her up .
“ I have something for you since you could not finish the pageant last night”.
He hands her a round box.
She sat on the couch , and open it .
“ Thank you”.
“ Its ,so pretty” .
“ Daddy look Ollie gave me a pageant crown”.
“ Oliver that was so kind of you”, said Martha.
“ It made of real gold, and the green stones, or Emeralds like the color of your eyes”, he said.
“ Oliver it probably put a big hole in your wallet”, said Clark.
Vesta put it on her head.
“ I’m going to see how it looks.
Chloe passed her coming up the stairs .
“ Chloe look what Ollie gave me”.
“ Vesta it is really pretty”.
“ Good Morning Sleepy head”, said Clark kissing her on the forehead.
“ Chloe there is fresh coffee in the pot”, said Martha.
Vesta came back down stairs .
“ I’m going to wear it all day long”.
Clark picks her up.
“ Princess you can wear it around here, but if we go somewhere you have to leave it here”.
She gave him a disappointing look.
“ Okay, but a princess should always don a crown”.
“ Vesta your crown is to valuable”, said Chloe.
“ I have to get going I have an important business meeting to attend”.
“ I will talk to you all later”.
Clark walk him out to his car.
“ Oliver I just wanted to say thanks”.
“ Clark it was no problem”.
“ Vesta really worked hard getting ready for the pageant”.
“ Sir I’ll take her”.
