Rick kept his stare on her before he lowered his gun slowly, nodding his head for the other to do the same. "I know her. Saved my life earlier while we were out." He said slowly, his voice slow and sincere as he looked to his partner. "Shane, put cuffs on her and bring her into the RV."
The one he called Shane pulled handcuffs out of his back pocket and walked over behind Naomi, shoving the one she'd attacked out of the way before tightly pressing the cold metal to her wrists. She resisted the urge to flinch at the tightness, stumbling forward as Shane allowed the one she still didn't know the name of to push her towards the RV. As he pushed her along, she glanced over her shoulder at him and gave off a daring grin. "You fight like a girl."
He looked at her with a hard glare, shoving her forward against the steps of the RV and watched her fall from the unexpected force. "Yea, that's why I won." He retorted, grabbing her elbow and yanking her up off the ground and shoving her up the steps until she was inside of the RV.
Naomi was seated in a small booth-like table across from where Rick seated himself. Naomi watched his fingers twirl around the arrow she'd come for in the first place and her eyes glanced up to meet his. "I had a hard time deciding if this was meant for me or the walker." Rick's voice was slow as he handed the arrow off to Shane, who placed it in her quiver. "But that was a hell of a shot. You wouldn't have missed if it were meant for me, would you?"
Her voice was calm as she met Rick's gaze, her large eyes resting on his face. "Wouldn't dream of it." She confirmed, clearly more relaxed now that he'd returned the arrow into her quiver where it so rightfully belonged.
"You tracked us all the way here for that arrow?" He ran over her actions, contemplating the truth behind her reasons in his head as he waited for any form of reaction from the stone-faced female before him. "What's your name?"
"It's got sentimental value." She said dryly, her tone lacking any form of feeling what-so-ever as she rested her cuffed hands in her lap. She tried to keep them as still as possible in order to refrain from them rubbing across the brutal metal of the handcuffs. As he asked for her name, she bit the inside of her lip. "Naomi."
Rick nodded his head, in what Naomi hoped was understanding, as he looked at Shane and nodded towards her handcuffs. "She's not any danger. If she wanted any of us dead she could have done it while we were out earlier."
Shane nodded slowly, walking over and unlocking the handcuffs. Once her hands were free, she resisted the urge to rub over her wrists which were red and slightly welted. She made no moves, only sat there and stared at Rick through her naturally wide and multicolored gaze.
They stared at each other for a few moments in absolute silence until the man she'd attacked earlier finally spoke up. "We gonna have a starin' contest or we gonna decide what the hell we should do with her?"
Rick gave one last look in Naomi's direction before looking up to Shane and the other man, his shoulders giving off a slight shrug. "She's a good shot..with Merle..disappearing..we only have one of those around here. If she wanted us dead, she would have done something..acted out.."
Shane ran a hand through his hair, looking at Naomi through dark eyes before looking to Rick. "I get what you're saying. But we hardly know anything about this girl.."
Scratching at the back of his neck, Rick nodded briefly. "How much did we really know about Merle? How much do we know about Ed? Both of them are obviously erratic and dangerous and we let them stay. Look at her. Do you really see her as a threat? As being like them?"
Shaking his head, Shane agreed slowly. "No, no I don't." He looked over Naomi's small frame, even if it were to come out that she wasn't as mild mannered as they thought she was she'd be easy to take out. "I'm fine with it." He confirmed, crossing his arms over his torso.
The man she'd attacked looked absolutely furious, his neck was heating to a reddish shade and he shoved a finger in Naomi's direction. "She fuckin' attacks me and yer giving her a place here?"
Naomi's eyes instantly crossed to stare at the finger directly in her face, her eyes scanning up along his arm before locking him into a hard gaze. "Get your goddamn finger out of my face before I bite it off."
Rick snorted slightly, nodding for him to move his finger. "She only seems to be violent towards you, Daryl. Unless you're scared of a hundred pound girl I don't see a real reason for her not to be staying."
Naomi looked at him through a teasing grin, her dimples pressed into her cheeks as she tilted her head. Daryl only shook his head and grabbed at his crossbow to place onto his back. "I ain't scared of nothin'." His arms crossed over his chest tightly and kept a hard gaze on his face. The pose reminded Naomi of a very pouty child, it took everything in her not to laugh at the thought.
"Since you're so worried about her well being, you can keep watch over her until we're positive we can trust her. If you don't mind, Naomi, we'll be holding onto your things until tomorrow. Just to be sure." Rick's voice was steady as he got up, motioning for her to do the same. Placing his hand in hers, he shook it carefully. "I appreciate what you did, earlier. And I want to ask you a few questions just so we know who's going to be joining us." When she nodded her head he was sure it was okay to continue. "How old are you?"
"I'm twenty one." She moved her hands to rest in her back pockets as she stood there, a few strands of brown hair falling loose from the hair tie and into her face.
"How long have you been on your own?" It was a valid question, the longer you were out there by yourself the more it changed you, altered you from who you were before witnessing the horrendous things life now offered.
"Only a few months..I was with family for awhile but..you know." Her voice cut off short as she inferred the fate of her loved ones, Rick nodded his head understandingly apologetically before nodding his head towards Shane and heading out of the RV.
"I got better things to do than babysit some bitch." Daryl huffed, nodding his head for her to get up. He looked at the little beast, seeing how petite she actually was. He was finding it hard to believe that someone that size had almost laid him out on his ass and despite being livid that she attacked him, he was slightly impressed.
