The party continued for several hours and then after everyone left Midge decided to crash on Michaela’s couch due to the fact that she had got visibly drunk to the point where she wasn’t safe driving herself home. The next morning Michaela woke up to go check on her best friend who was still sleeping on her couch.
“ Hey bestie, good morning!”, Michaela said as she entered the living room.
“ Ow! Michaela don’t scream like that! I have a f*cking hangover!”, Midge hissed when she woke up pressing her hand against her forehead.
“ I wasn’t screaming Midge.”, Michaela said.
“ Well it sounded like you were. Oh my head is killing me. Do you mind if I stick my head in your freezer for a moment?”, Midge said as she rubbed her eyes.
“ Um… I guess.”, Michaela said in confusion as she stared at her best friend.
“ Cool, thanks.”, Midge said as she walked to the kitchen, opened the freezer door and stuck her head in against one of the side walls.
“ Ah that’s feels so much better!”, Midge said.
“ Sure, whatever floats your boat Midge!”, Michaela laughed as she walked down the hallway to the bathroom to brush her teeth. But as she started brushing her cell phone suddenly started ringing in the bedroom. She continued brushing her teeth with her sonic toothbrush as she walked into her bedroom, picked her phone up and headed back into the bathroom to answer it. It was her brother Charlie.
“ Hello?”, Michaela answered after she spit the toothpaste out into the sink.
“ Hey sis, what’s up?”, Charlie answered.
“ Not much Charlie. What are you calling me for?”, Michaela asked.
“ Oh nothing except I wanted to let you know that Aunt Martha just called and said that her and Uncle George are planning on having a family reunion at their 10 acre property I think in about…4 weeks from now? I’m really not sure. I’ll have to call them and ask them again.”, Charlie said.
“ Oh really? I didn’t know they were planning on doing that.”, Michaela said.
“ Yeah it kind of just came up last minute. So I just thought I’d let you know that.”, Charlie said.
“ Well thanks for letting me know Charlie because I would have never known that was going to happen.”, Michaela said.
“ No problem sis. Are you going to bring Sheldon with you?”, Charlie asked.
“ I might bro but I don’t know. Family reunions in my opinion are kind of just for the family.”, Michaela said.
“ Yeah that’s true but come on. You know everyone’s going to ask you what’s been going on in your life, you’re going to want to talk about Sheldon and then the next thing you know everyone’s going to ask, “ Well where is he?”, Charlie said.
“ Yeah I guess I get your point. Alright I’ll probably bring him, that is if he wants to come with me.”, Michaela said.
“ Alright well ask him and I’m going to go talk to Aunt Martha and Uncle George again to find out more details.”, Charlie said.
“ Sounds good to me. Talk to you later Charlie, bye.”, Michaela said.
“ Bye.”, Charlie said before he hung up. Charlie then called their aunt and uncle back and asked them when they said that the family reunion was. He also told them that Michaela was planning on bringing her boyfriend to which they said no at first because they assumed that Michaela and Bruce were still together and they didn’t really like him but then Charlie told them that Michaela had a new boyfriend and that he was much nicer than Bruce. They then asked him about what had happened between Michaela and Bruce to which Charlie said that he didn’t want to talk about due to the details being so bad. They respected that and said that they would love to meet Michaela’s new boyfriend if she brought him to the reunion. Charlie said ok and then he hung up after saying goodbye. Michaela then called Sheldon and asked him if he wanted to go with her to her family reunion at her aunt and uncle’s property 4 weeks from that day to which he said he would think about it and get back to her at a later time. Midge left Michaela’s house to go home shortly after that. 2 weeks later after working another shift at the grocery store Michaela decided to go stop by Sheldon’s office at Caltech to see him but what she didn’t anticipate seeing was another young blonde haired woman in her boyfriend’s office who looked like someone who she had never seen before. It was Dr. Ramona Nowitzki, a physics grad student that had returned to Caltech to do some more research and once again she was in Sheldon’s office doing things for him to hopefully get some kind of romantic attention from him.
“ Oh, hello.”, Ramona said in somewhat of a shocked expression when she opened the door of Sheldon’s office to see Michaela standing on the other side of the door.
“ Um… hi. Sheldon who is this that’s in your office?”, Michaela asked Sheldon as she continued standing out in the hallway.
“ Oh silly me of course. Michaela this is a colleague of mine, a physics grad student named Dr. Ramona Nowitzki. Ramona this is my girlfriend Michaela Mansfield.”, Sheldon said with somewhat of a smile as he introduced the two women to each other who were very much glaring at each other not knowing what to do about the situation around them.
“ She’s… your girlfriend?”, Ramona asked with a weird smile.
“ Yes. Is there a problem?”, Sheldon asked in concern.
“ Um… Michaela Mansfield why don’t you wait a moment out in the hallway so I can talk to Dr. Cooper alone.”, Ramona said in somewhat of a polite way.
“ Uh, ok.”, Michaela said in confusion as she stepped back and Ramona shut the door. Instead of leaving Michaela decided to stick around and eavesdrop on Ramona to see what she had to say.
“ Ok let’s get one thing straight Dr. Cooper, you are a brilliant theoretical physicist and you can not have distractions like this! I forbid you to see this woman!”
“ Excuse me?! Are you telling me that I can’t see my girlfriend?!”
“ Yes, that’s exactly what I’m saying! Your main focus should be your work and nothing else, especially gutter trash like her!”
‘ Are you flippin’ kidding me?!’, Michaela thought in anger as she suddenly stormed into her boyfriend’s office after she had heard enough come out of Ramona’s mouth about her and got up in her face shouting, “ Ok you know what crazy lady, I don’t know who the HELL you think you are but you should know at least these two things about me! One, nobody insults me like that and two, if I want to talk to my boyfriend you’re going to let me do so whether you want to or not! Hell I’ll even knock you out if I have to because this is just crap! You can’t keep me from talking to my man! Are you obsessed with him or something?! Because if that’s the case you can just get the fuck out bitch!” as she pointed her finger out the door.
“ Excuse me?! Are you trying to kick me out of Dr. Cooper’s office?!”, Ramona shouted in her face.
“ Yes because he’s MY BOYFRIEND! I don’t want you in his office BADMOUTHING me in front of him like that, especially when I’m literally out in the hallway listening to everything you’re saying! I already took enough of this crap from my abusive ex-boyfriend Bruce and I don’t need anymore of it from anyone else! So get out and take your rude comments train caboose somewhere else! Back it in reverse and chug your way out of here!”, Michaela shouted.
“ You want to fight me hoe?!”, Ramona shouted.
“ No, I want you to leave my boyfriend’s office! You don’t control him, no one does! If I were to fight you I would get arrested and that is something that I would never want to happen to me! So leave, now!”, Michaela shouted.
“ Fine, I will but this is so not over Michaela Mansfield! I’ll be back to kick you to the curb! Dr. Cooper doesn’t deserve you, gutter trash!”, Ramona shouted as she stormed out of the office.
“ Yeah well it looks pretty over to me Dr. Ramona Nowitzki and stop calling me that! That’s disrespectful!”, Michaela shouted after her.
“ Good Lord what was that about?!”, Sheldon asked.
“ I don’t know but I’m really sorry that I had to do that. The bi*ch was being very disrespectful to me.”, Michaela said as she let out a sigh.
“ That’s quite alright. I don’t think I appreciated what she said about you either. That was just obnoxious.”, Sheldon said.
“ Yeah well you won’t think that this is obnoxious.”, Michaela said with a smile as she leaned over and kissed him.
“ Goddamn you woman!”, Sheldon interjected as he kissed her back. He then shut the door and the two lovers began having a somewhat intimate moment with each other. As they were making love Sheldon then said, “ Oh and I forgot to tell you that I gave your request a thought and I’ve decided that I shall accompany you to your family reunion.”
“ Thank you.”, Michaela said with a smile as she continued kissing him. She then left after a few minutes letting Sheldon get back to his work. Then later that evening Michaela decided to tell Penny, Amy and Bernadette about what Ramona had said about her earlier that day at Caltech in Sheldon’s office when she went to go see him.
“ Wait, Ramona said what?!”, Penny exclaimed in shock as she stared at her friend while drinking a glass of wine.
“ She had the nerve to call me gutter trash and forbid Sheldon and I from seeing each other! She said I was a distraction from his work! Can you believe that?! A f*cking distraction!”, Michaela hissed.
“ That’s not right Michaela! What a bitch!”, Bernadette exclaimed.
“ Yeah I totally agree! This Nowitzki broad needs to disappear!”, Amy hissed.
“ Yep I totally agree with you Amy! She really needs to go away and never come back! She really pissed me off by what she said!”, Michaela hissed.
“ I got it, why don’t we just go all Nebraska on her a** and throw her in a river?! Let a bunch of alligators tear her the rest of the way to shreds!”, Penny interjected.
“ Ok we don’t need to go that extreme Penny. This isn’t something like Texas Chainsaw Massacre.”, Michaela said as she rolled her eyes at her friend.
“ Well why the hell not Michaela?! She insulted you in front of your man! I think she at least deserves a beating for that!”, Penny shot back.
“ Yeah I totally agree but we still need to be civil! There’s city and state laws, we can’t just go off the handle and murder the woman! We’ll get thrown in prison for that for the rest of our lives!”, Michaela shot back.
“ Yeah that’s true.”, the other three women said nodding their heads while taking sips of their wine glasses.
“ Well anyway enough talk about Ramona. What did Sheldon say when you asked him if he would go to your family reunion at your aunt and uncle’s house?”, Penny asked.
“ He said he’ll go.”, Michaela said.
“ Really?!”, Bernadette, Penny and Amy asked in shock.
“ Yeah I know, shocking huh?”, Michaela asked.
“ Yeah that’s really shocking. When him and I were together and I tried getting him to go to several family functions of mine he would always make up some stupid excuse not to go. Like this one time one of my aunts was having a birthday party and I tried to get him to go to that with me but instead he turned me down for stupid Star Wars Weekend with the guys.”, Amy said as she rolled her eyes.
“ Well that’s rude.”, Michaela said.
“ Oh you better believe it. It was the most rude thing he could have ever done.”, Penny said.
“ Well maybe he was just being very blunt and he didn’t realize it.”, Michaela said as she shrugged her shoulders.
“ Yeah Sheldon can definitely be very blunt sometimes. That’s just how his idiosyncrasies work.”, Bernadette said.
“ Yeah don’t take it personal if he starts doing it to you for some odd reason Michaela. His ego is just a little bit too much at times.”, Amy said.
“ Point taken.”, Michaela said. They continued talking until they went their separate ways for the night. Then 2 weeks later Michaela picked Sheldon up to head out to her aunt and uncle’s property for the Mansfield family reunion. When they got there the whole yard was filled with family members of the Mansfield family. Michaela saw her parents, her siblings, their grandparents who were surprisingly still alive, and various uncles, aunts and cousins. Everybody was there and Sheldon was completely amazed at just how large of a family his girlfriend had. In fact it was the largest interracial family that he had ever seen in his entire life before in one place.
“ Hi everybody!”, Michaela exclaimed to family members as her and Sheldon walked up the driveway.
“ Michaela!”, the entire Mansfield family exclaimed as they all started hugging each other in greeting.
“ Come here sweetheart! It’s been so long since your Uncle George and I have seen you!”, Aunt Martha exclaimed as she hugged her niece.
“ I know, it’s been a while! How are both of you doing?”, Michaela asked.
“ Oh we’re doing just swell. Thank you for asking.”, Uncle George said.
“ No problem Uncle George.”, Michaela said.
“ So who’s this that you brought with you?”, one of Michaela’s cousins named Taylor asked as she tucked her hair behind her ear.
“ Oh I’m so rude! Everybody this is my new boyfriend Dr. Sheldon Lee Cooper! Sheldon you obviously know my parents and my siblings but this is the rest of my family! This is my Aunt Martha and Uncle George, my Aunt Maria and Uncle Jason, my Grandma and Grandpa Mansfield, my Grandma and Grandpa Seemans, my Aunt Katherine, my Uncle Vernon, my Aunt Dottie and Uncle Luther, my Uncle Francisco yes I see you back there, my Great Aunt Velma and Great Uncle Jimmy and my 11 cousins named Alaina, Darby, Kenny, Gina, Jared, Taylor, Carter, Louise, Marywhether, and last but not least Ronnie and Bonnie who are obviously twins!”, Michaela said as she introduced Sheldon to each of her other family members.
“ Hello.”, Sheldon said as he gave a slight wave with his hand.
“ Hi nice to meet you Sheldon!”, everyone exclaimed back.
“ Well now with introductions out of the way, everyone please feel free to grab whatever you want to eat and just enjoy yourselves! The food and beverages are in the house on the kitchen counter!”, Aunt Martha exclaimed as she pointed towards the house in the center of the beautiful 10 acre property that her and her husband lived on.
“ Perfect timing I’m starving! Come on Sheldon, let’s go in the house and get some food.”, Michaela said as she headed towards her aunt and uncle’s house.
“ Well alright, after you.”, Sheldon said as he followed her.
“ Move it people! This hungry hippo is hunnnngry!”, Ronnie exclaimed as he pushed ahead of his twin sister as well as every other family member who had started heading towards the house.
“ Shut up Ronnie! You’re so immature sometimes!”, Bonnie shot back at her twin brother.
“ He’s immature period Bonnie!”, Charlie laughed.
“ Charlie shut it, that doesn’t make any sense!”, Bonnie laughed as she grabbed a plate after they got into the house.
“ Yeah she definitely told you bro!”, Evie laughed as she started piling food onto her plate.
“ Evie can it!”, Charlie shot back.
“ Hey can you guys just knock it off?! Stop embarrassing me in front of my boyfriend! He just met the rest of the family and I don’t want him thinking that we’re weird!”, Michaela hissed as she stuck her face in between her brother and sister.
“ Sorry about that sis.”, Charlie and Evie apologetically said as they hung their heads in shame.
“ Thank you!”, Michaela hissed as she filled her plate up with food and headed back outside with Sheldon following her after he grabbed some food on his plate too.
“ I am so sorry about that Sheldon. My family can be a little weird sometimes.”, Michaela apologetically said as she started eating.
“ That’s quite alright Michaela, I’m used to a lot of weirdness. My family is like that as well.”, Sheldon said before he started eating as well.
“ Well that’s good to know that you’re not completely weirded out by my family. I don’t know what gets into them sometimes. They can be a bit much to a certain extent especially when they’re meeting somebody new for the first time. My siblings are, well, they’re just being them like they always are but sometimes my other family members can be just a wee bit too much if you know what I’m saying.”, Michaela said.
“ Yes I can most certainly see that. Although what I don’t seem to understand is why your cousin Ronnie appears to be a bit of a loud mouth and dresses kind of a bit formally.”, Sheldon said.
“ Well it’s really not his fault, he’s just a bit flashy and he likes to be kind of dramatic at times so don’t take it too personal. He’s got ADHD so if he gets to be too much for you then you can remove yourself from the situation for a bit to decompress. You don’t have to be around him for the whole reunion. You can talk to my other family members and my other cousins if you want, you don’t necessarily have to stick around me the whole time.”, Michaela said as she looked around the yard at her other family members who were eating food, talking, laughing and just enjoying themselves and each other’s company.
“ Very well I will take that into consideration. Thank you.”, Sheldon said with a smile.
“ No problem.”, Michaela said as she kissed him.
“ Hey Michaela do you and Sheldon want to play some cornhole with Darby and I?”, Alaina asked when she walked up to the porch with Darby.
“ Sure I guess. Come on Sheldon, let’s go play some cornhole with my cousins. They want to play with us.”, Michaela said as she finished eating and threw her plate away.
“ Well alright if you insist, even though I have no understanding of how to play this game.”, Sheldon as he did the same thing and followed her after her cousins.
“ Oh it’s very simple, you try to throw a bean bag into a hole and get points. I’ve played this many times before with my family, it’s very fun.”, Michaela said.
“ Seems pretty straight forward to me. Alright I’ll give it a whirl.”, Sheldon said.
“ Cool. Alaina you get on one side and Darby you get on the other.”, Michaela said.
“ Sweet! Which two of us are going first?!”, Darby exclaimed as he scratched the back of his head.
“ Um I think Alaina and I are going to go first.”, Michaela said.
“ Ok then let ‘er rip or should I say let ‘er fly! Get it?!”, Darby exclaimed as he started cracking up at his own joke, slapping his thigh.
“ Yes, hilarious.”, Sheldon said in a sarcastic tone even though he didn’t really understand it.
“ Darby just shut up and let’s just play!”, Michaela hissed at her cousin.
“ Alright Michaela I’ll shut up!”, Darby laughed before he started settling down.
“ Thank you.”, Michaela said as she tossed the first bag towards the cornhole board in between Sheldon and Darby which landed on the board near the hole.
“ Aw dang nabbit I almost had it!”, Michaela interjected as she threw her head back looking up at the sky.
“ Great try Michaela, you’ll get it next time.”, Sheldon said.
“ Thanks Sheldon.”, Michaela said.
“ My turn!”, Alaina exclaimed as she tossed her first bag but the wind carried it straight into Darby’s stomach making him shriek, “ Ow, Alaina!” as he clutched his stomach with his hands.
“ Sorry Darby I didn’t mean to hit you! The wind kind of carried it!”, Alaina interjected.
“ Yeah no shit!”, Darby laughed.
“ Darby Elias Seemans!”, Aunt Martha scolded her nephew.
“ Sorry Aunt Martha!”, Darby laughed.
“ That’s not funny! Do not say the S word, this is a family get together!”, Uncle Francisco scolded.
“ Yes none of us want to hear that mister! Shut your pie hole!”, Darby’s mother Maria scolded him.
“ Oh come on mom, give me a break!”, Darby shot back at his mother.
“ Darby can it! Your mother said to knock it off!”, Darby’s father Jason scolded.
“ Alright fine dad I’ll shut up! Geez Louise!”, Darby laughed.
“ Hey what did I do?!”, Louise chimed in.
“ Nothing Louise, I wasn’t talking to you! I was just saying an expression to my dad!”, Darby laughed.
“ Oh what fresh hell is this?”, Sheldon said as he rolled his eyes.
“ See what I mean Sheldon? My family’s a little nuts.”, Michaela said.
“ Yes so I’ve noticed. Let’s just continue the game.”, Sheldon said.
“ Sounds good to me. Darby, you’re up now!”, Michaela exclaimed.
“ Oh yeah boy, watch out kitties! Yeehaw!”, Darby interjected as he chucked his first bean bag in an over hand motion which ended up smacking Michaela in the face.
“ Ow! Darby you just hit me in the face!”, Michaela interjected.
“ Oh sorry Michaela! My bad!”, Darby laughed.
“ I’m going thump you on your melon shaped head for that!”, Michaela hissed.
“ Oh yeah sure sure! Sheldon go!”, Darby laughed. Sheldon acknowledged that and threw one bag making it land in the hole which was a lucky shot due to the fact that he hadn’t really played this game before.
“ Oh nice one Sheldon!”, Michaela exclaimed.
“ Yes! Beat that Darby! I highly doubt that there is any possibility that you could ever…f*cking son of a bi*ch!”, Sheldon started to say with a smug tone but then hissed under his breath when Darby threw one into the hole as well, canceling him out.
“ Yes ha ha, I just canceled you out man! Let’s go, woooooah!”, Darby exclaimed as he smacked his hands together.
“ Hey tone it down a bit over there doofushead!”, Marywhether hissed at her cousin.
“ Shut it Marywhether!”, Darby shot back.
“ Ok ok you guys let’s just stop and continue playing!”, Michaela interjected. The cornhole game continued until Michaela and Sheldon ended up winning.
“ Yes Sheldon we won! Nice game Alaina and Darby!”, Michaela exclaimed.
“ You too cuz!”, Alaina exclaimed.
“ Yeah you guys rocked!”, Darby exclaimed.
“ Thank you. Although I’m not sure what that even meant.”, Sheldon said.
“ Come on let’s just go do something else. We got a whole day ahead of us.”, Michaela said.
“ Alright.”, Sheldon said as he followed her to go find another activity to do. As they were heading towards the garage they looked over their shoulders to see Ronnie on the grass shuffling around to a song playing on the radio. It was Wobble by V.I.C.
“ Ronnie’s such a weirdo!”, Michaela laughed as she shook her head.
“ Indeed.”, Sheldon said. The reunion lasted several more hours giving Sheldon enough time to talk to everybody before Michaela drove both of them home.
“ Hey you guys how was the reunion?”, Leonard asked when Sheldon and Michaela walked into 4A later that evening.
“ Oh it was great Leonard, best day ever. I think all the rest of my family members really loved Sheldon. They all wanted to talked to him.”, Michaela said.
“ Yes indeed, although I will say that some of Michaela’s family members were a bit too much if you will. Like for instance Michaela’s cousin Darby was a bit of an airhead and her cousin Ronnie was, how do I say this, a bit too…”, Sheldon started to say but stopped when he couldn’t of the word he wanted to say.
“ Flashy?”, Michaela asked.
“ Yes that’s the word I was looking for. Thank you Michaela.”, Sheldon said.
“ Well most families are like that Sheldon but that doesn’t matter. It’s great that you actually had a good time. It’s good to get to know your significant other’s family and get along with them because that’s what builds a great relationship.”, Leonard said.
“ I suppose that’s true.”, Sheldon said as he nodded his head.
“ Yeah it totally is. Thank you so much for coming with me to my family reunion Sheldon, it was seriously the best day I’ve ever had in my life.”, Michaela said with a smile.
“ My pleasure Michaela, I surprisingly had a very good time as well. Perhaps we shall do this again sometime.”, Sheldon said with a smile.
“ I would love that. I’m very impressed that you actually enjoyed that. I know that was not easy for you dealing with all that chaos my family puts out. It was kind of a bit crazy and loud.”, Michaela said.
“ Yes I would most certainly agree with that, it was kind of loud and obnoxious over there but who am I to complain? You’re my girlfriend.”, Sheldon said.
“ Yeah that’s true! Oh I just love you so much!”, Michaela let out a giddy laugh as she kissed him again.
“ I love you too.”, Sheldon said as he kissed her back.
“ Well it’s late and I’m kind of tired. Do you mind if I just crash here with you in your room?”, Michaela asked.
“ Well normally I would say no considering the fact that no one is allowed in my room except me but I suppose I can make an acception for you.”, Sheldon said.
“ Thanks. Good night Leonard.”, Michaela said as she headed down the hallway to Sheldon’s room.
“ Good night Michaela. Good night Sheldon.”, Leonard said as he headed to bed as well as Sheldon after he said, “ Good night Leonard.” The next day Sheldon and Leonard dropped Michaela off at work before they headed to work as well. Then later that day after they dropped her off at home Sheldon got a phone call from his mother saying that she wanted to come for a visist along with Missy, Georgie and Meemaw which startled him at first but then he said ok because he wanted to have a chance for them to meet his new girlfriend and get to know her considering the fact that he got a chance to meet the rest of Michaela’s family at the reunion the other day.
Knock knock!
“ Hello.”, Sheldon said as he answered the door to see his family standing there. Leonard was at Howard and Bernadette’s helping Howard with something at the moment and wasn’t home.
“ Shelly, hi baby! It’s so good to see you again! How are you?!”, Mrs. Cooper said with a smile as she hugged her son.
“ I’m fine, how are you?”, Sheldon asked.
“ Lord in Heaven I am just peachy.”, Mrs. Cooper said.
“ Oh good. S’up?”, Sheldon asked his brother and sister when they saw them staring at him.
“ Hi Shelly.”, Missy said with a smile.
“ Dickhead.”, Georgie muttered under his breath which quickly earned him a thump over the head with The Holy Bible from Meemaw making him scream, “ Ow! Meemaw?!”
“ Boy stop with the cursin’ or y’all going to get it again!”, Meemaw scolded him in somewhat of a Texas drawl.
“ Yes, Georgie that was rude! We are visiting your brother and that is not appropriate! So help me Lord if y’all say one more curse word while we’re here I’m going to make you get on your knees and pray to the Lord for forgiveness! There’s going to be no sinning in this family, period!”, Mrs. Cooper scolded.
“ Alright Ma, geez!”, Georgie hissed as he shut his mouth up.
“ Well with that being said, Moonpie what’s been going on in your life recently? Are you still dating that neurobiologist?”, Meemaw asked.
“ You mean Amy? No, her and I are actually broken up and we’re just friends now but I do have someone new in my life.”, Sheldon said.
“ Really?”, Mrs. Cooper, Meemaw, Georgie and Missy asked in complete shock as they stared at Sheldon.
“ Yes, I actually have a new girlfriend now.”, Sheldon said.
“ Well who is it baby?”, Mrs. Cooper asked.
“ She’s a beautiful 28 year old caucasian woman that works at a grocery store and her name’s Michaela Janet Mansfield.”, Sheldon said.
“ Oh that’s a really pretty name Sheldon.”, Missy said.
“ Thank you and a very interesting fact about her is that she actually comes from a very large interracial family. Half of them are caucasian like her while the other half of them are African American.”, Sheldon said.
“ Well that’s very interesting. How many siblings does this woman have?”, Mrs. Cooper asked.
“ She has 4 sisters and 2 brothers. Their parents are very interesting too because their mother is caucasian while their father is African American and I will point out that their father is actually a retired 5 star general that fought in the Korean War who now works for a GPS company called GPS Insight.”, Sheldon said.
“ What are the names Moonpie?”, Meemaw asked.
“ Michaela’s 4 sisters names are Mavis, Kira, Reghan and Evie and her 2 brothers names are Matthew and Charlie.”, Sheldon said.
“ Have you met the rest of the family yet?”, Missy asked.
“ Oh yes as a matter of fact I have. Yesterday Michaela took me to a family reunion at a relatives house that sits on a huge 10 acre property piece of land and although I will say that some of her family members were a bit obnoxious I must admit that they were all very nice and they all wanted to talk to me.”, Sheldon said.
“ Oh that’s wonderful! I’m so happy you did that! It must have made that woman very happy to see you getting along with her family!”, Mrs. Cooper exclaimed.
“ Yes well would you like to meet her? I can call her and ask her if we can stop by her house for a few minutes.”, Sheldon asked.
“ Yes would you mind please?”, Mrs. Cooper asked.
“ Alright one moment please.”, Sheldon said before he took his phone out and called Michaela.
“ Hello?”, Michaela answered.
“ Hi Michaela it’s Sheldon. Listen, do you mind if I stop by your house for a few minutes? My family’s here visiting from Texas and they want to meet you.”, Sheldon said.
“ Sure I don’t have a problem with you coming over. I’m not doing anything of importance at the moment except for hanging out in my living room with my dog and cat.”, Michaela said.
“ Alright then I guess we’ll see you shortly, I love you. Goodbye.”, Sheldon said.
“ Love you too, bye.”, Michaela said before she hung up the phone.
“ Alright y’all come with me.”, Sheldon said as he headed out the door with his family following him down the stairs and outside the building across the parking lot where Sheldon just kept on walking making his family continuing to follow him.
“ Oh we’re walking?”, Mrs. Cooper asked in confusion.
“ Yes because she actually lives nearby. Just a few blocks away.”, Sheldon said as he kept walking.
“ Well that’s convenient. You don’t have to go as far to see this woman.”, Meemaw said.
“ Precisely.”, Sheldon said.
“ This isn’t a prank is it?”, Georgie asked.
“ No it most certainly is not. I would have said Bazinga by now and I have said no such thing.”, Sheldon said as he glared at his older brother.
“ Yeah you wildhog! Shut up!”, Missy interjected as she smacked Georgie upside the head.
“ Ow! Missy!”, Georgie hissed as he rubbed the back of his head.
“ Alright both of y’all cut it out right this minute! We are meeting your brother’s new girlfriend Michaela for the very first time and this is not starting to look like a very good first impression of the two of you! So stop it or so help me Lord I will thump both of you like melons!”, Mrs. Cooper scolded.
“ Alright, sorry.”, Missy and Georgie said in shame. They continued walking for another block or two until they reached Michaela’s house. Sheldon walked up to the door to knock on it.
Knock knock knock! “ Michaela!”

“ Hi, oh my god Max, Max! Come here!”, Michaela exclaimed when she opened the door trying to grab Max who instantly started darting out the door with Oakley trailing behind him wagging her tail as she began to sniff Sheldon and his family.
“ And Oakley what are you doing out here?! Get back in the house!”, Michaela laughed as she ushered her dog back inside holding onto Max with one arm. Then she said, “ I am so sorry about that. My pets don’t usually do that. They’re pretty well trained.”
“ Oh that’s alright. May we come in?”, Mrs. Cooper asked with a smile.
“ Yes please come inside.”, Michaela said as she stepped aside allowing them to walk in.
“ Wow you have a very nice house!”, Missy exclaimed as she looked around Michaela’s house.
“ Oh thank you but it’s not much. I’m Michaela Mansfield by the way.”, Michaela said with a smile.
“ Well it’s so nice to meet you. I’m Sheldon’s mother Mary, this is my mother Connie, my daughter Missy and my oldest son George Cooper Jr. or Georgie as we call him.”, Mrs. Cooper said as she introduced herself and the rest of the Cooper family.
“ It’s very nice to meet you too.”, Michaela said.
“ So if you don’t mind me asking dear, who are these two critters?”, Meemaw asked as she pointed at Max and Oakley.
“ Oh this is Oakley, she’s a beautiful Siberian husky as you can see and this is Max my tabby cat.”, Michaela said as she introduced her pets to them.
“ Meow!”
“ I know Max you want me to put you down. Here you go buddy.”, Michaela said as she set Max back down on the floor. He sprinted across the floor to go do something else while Oakley started headbutting her nose against Sheldon’s hand to get him to pet her.
“ Yes I see you. Hi Oakley.”, Sheldon said as he started petting Oakley’s head in a seemingly confident way and gave her some kisses which immediately shocked his family to see that.
“ Well what’s up with this mister? You’re petting a dog and not even freaking out about it?! Heavenly Father who are you and what have you done with my son?”, Mrs. Cooper asked in shocked.
“ Yes well surprisingly Michaela’s dog doesn’t frighten me that much Mom.”, Sheldon said.
“ Yeah how can anyone be afraid of her? She’s the sweetest thing ever, aren’t you baby?”, Michaela cooed which immediately made Oakley put her paws up on her owner’s chest raining kisses on her face as she wagged her tail.
“ Ok ok that’s enough! Down girl!”, Michaela laughed as she gently lifted Oakley’s paws off her chest setting her back down on the floor.
“ So how did you and Sheldon meet each other?”, Georgie asked.
“ Well we first saw each other at the grocery store where I work but we didn’t actually really meet each other until the very next day on my way home from work as I heading to the pharmacy to pick up a prescription and he was getting off the bus on his way home from the dentist. We started talking and well…”, Michaela started to say but then stopped.
“ It’s alright, you can tell them everything that’s happened to you.”, Sheldon said as he nodded his head.
“ I know Sheldon I’m just trying to think of the best way to explain it.”, Michaela said.
“ Explain what? What happened?”, Mrs. Cooper asked.
“ It’s actually a weird story of how Sheldon and I became friends in the first place. We actually befriended each other at the height of me going through a very abusive relationship to a guy named Bruce Wiley Gustovson.”, Michaela said as she began to tell the story of how Bruce had treated her and the pets over the years that were together and how she was constantly living in fear and isolation from what he was going to do next to her. It was the most heartbreaking story that they had ever heard to think that this sweet woman in front of them had gone through such a terrible relationship with her last boyfriend.
“ Oh my Lord that it just awful! I feel so bad for you sweetheart! I can’t imagine why anyone would want to hurt you like that!”, Mrs. Cooper gasped in horror and complete shock.
“ Yes well thankfully he’s no longer alive, I believe he got the appropriate justice he deserved for what he did to me and in a sense I’m very grateful for your son saving my life because if he hadn’t come into my life when he did I probably wouldn’t be here today.”, Michaela said. The conversations continued and by the end of the visit Mrs. Cooper, Missy and Georgie really seemed to really like Michaela but Meemaw however was still a bit skeptical. She wasn’t entirely convinced that things between Sheldon and Michaela were going to be great all the time considering the fact that they were very different from each other but as the next two years went by she began to embrace Michaela as a granddaughter and thought she was absolutely adorable. Same with Michaela’s entire family adoring Sheldon. They all really loved him too and considered him already part of the family even though Sheldon and Michaela weren’t married yet but Sheldon decided that he wanted to make it official by first asking Mr. Mansfield if he could have his blessing to ask Michaela for her hand in marriage to which he immediately said yes to after asking him, “ Man you saved my daughter’s life, what do you think?!” However 5 days after getting the appoval just a few months after Michaela’s 30th birthday Michaela was sitting in the Caltech cafeteria with her friends and her boyfriend after getting permission from her boss to leave the store for her lunch break something very unexpected happened. In an instant Leonard looked up at one of the enterance doors to the cafeteria and interjected, “ Oh for God sakes, what the hell?!” as he and the others suddenly saw Ramona storming in with a crowbar looking visibly pissed off.
“ Oh son of a bitch here we go with Ramona again!”, Raj hissed under his breath.
“ Seriously what is wrong with her?!”, Howard hissed.
“ I don’t know but what the…?!”, Leonard interjected with a gasp as Ramona suddenly stormed over to the table, flipping it over in a fit of rage as she got up in Michaela’s face shouting, “ Round two, let’s go bitch! I told you I would be back!”
“ Excuse me but this is completely absurd Ramona! You need to leave now!”, Sheldon shouted.
“ Shut up Dr. Cooper! This is between me and your stupid girlfriend!”, Ramona shouted in anger.
“ You need to get out of my face lady and leave me alone! This is ridiculous! What did I ever do to you?!”, Michaela shouted.
“ Shut up Michaela that’s none of your business! I told you you’re going to pay for ruining everything!”, Ramona shouted as she tried to hit Michaela with the crowbar making her scream and cower her head but before the blunt instrument could hit her Sheldon suddenly grabbed Ramona’s arm pulling it back shouting, “ Dr. Ramona Nowitzki this is very unacceptable behavior and you need to leave this instant!”
“ Shut up Dr. Cooper! I told you that your brilliance is so important that you can’t have distractions like this! She is clearly holding you back from achieving anything!”, Ramona shouted.
“ She is most certainly not and I’m allowed to have a social life woman! I can not physically work 24/7 like you want me to do but, what I can do is this!”, Sheldon shouted as he suddenly got down on one knee in front of Michaela making everyone in the whole cafeteria including his friends go absolutely insane when they realized what was happening.
“ Oh my god!”, Michaela exclaimed as she gasped in surprise covering her mouth while Leonard, Howard and Raj shrieked, “ Yeah Sheldon, way to go buddy!” as they were clapping their hands along with everyone else except for Ramona who looked even more pissed off than she did when she first stormed in.
“ Michaela Janet Mansfield, will you do me the great honor of becoming my wife Michaela Janet Cooper?”, Sheldon asked with a smile as he presented his grandmother’s ring to her.
“ Oh my god, yes!”, Michaela exclaimed with happy tears in her eyes as Sheldon slipped the ring on her finger and the two shared a kissed with everyone around them celebrating the new engagement.
“ Yeah Cwooper!”, Barry Kripke exclaimed clapping his hands.
“ Nice job dumb ass!”, Leslie exclaimed.
“ Are you flipping kidding me?! You’re going to marry her?!”, Ramona shouted at Sheldon and Michaela who were still kissing each other.
“ Yes because she’s the love of my life! Now please get out and leave us alone!”, Sheldon shot back.
“ Yeah hoe, eat your twisted physics heart out! I’m getting married y’all!”, Michaela exclaimed.
“ Ugh!”, Ramona screeched in anger as she stormed out of the cafeteria tossing the crowbar across the hallway in a fit of rage. She couldn’t believe that her obsession with Sheldon drove him to propose to his girlfriend right in front of her like that without having some kind of conscience to what he was actually doing, at least in her eyes.
“ See ya crazy Ramona! Don’t let the door hit you on the way out!”, Howard laughed.
“ Nice one dude!”, Raj laughed as he smacked hands with his best friend.
“ This is awesome! I can’t believe our two friends are getting married!”, Leonard exclaimed.
“ I know, right! To Sheldon and Michaela!”, Howard exclaimed.
“ YEAH!”, Leonard, Howard and Raj screamed with excitement as they were jumping up and down like idiots.
“ Hey do you 3 mind?!”, Sheldon scolded his 3 best friends.
“ Sorry Sheldon.”, the 3 men said as they stopped what they were doing but when they kind of starting running away they started back up again with the obnoxious screaming and jumping to the point where Michaela and Sheldon proceeded to chase them out of the cafeteria with the 3 men letting out howling fits of laughter. They were just happy to know that a new chapter was starting in their lives and were grateful that Sheldon decided to take everything to the next level. Michaela then left to go back to work moments later and she got there she walked back into the store with the biggest smile in history on her face.
“ Hi everyone! I’m back from my lunch break!”, Michaela exclaimed as she headed back to her register. Her new engagement ring glistened under the bright flourescent lights which immediately noticed by her boss.
“ Well this is new.”, Mr. Jenkins said with a smile as he looked at his employee.
“ What is Mr. Jenkins?”, Michaela asked as she started ringing up another customer’s items, putting them into a plastic bag.
“ That ring on your finger. You didn’t have that before when you walked out.”, Mr. Jenkins said as he pointed at the ring on Michaela’s finger.
“ Oh, that?! That’s because my boyfriend just proposed to me on my lunch break, I’m getting married!”, Michaela exclaimed which immediate received a huge chorus of cheering and clapping from her coworkers and several customers in the store.
“ That’s wonderful Michaela, congratulations!”, Mr. Jenkins exclaimed.
“ Thank you! It was quite a surprise, I wasn’t expecting it!”, Michaela exclaimed.
“ Well regardless I’m sure that Sheldon guy something very special to you.”, Mr. Jenkins said.
“ He really is, he’s the reason I’m still alive!”, Michaela exclaimed as she looked at the ring again beaming with happiness. Her shift continued with everyone congratulating her on her engagement and went it ended she clocked out and headed home for the night.
“ Bernie did you hear the news?!”, Howard suddenly exclaimed when he got home later that night and walked into the house where his wife was in the kitchen making something for dinner.
“ No I’ve been at work all day. What is it Howie?”, Bernadette asked as she spun around to look at him.
“ Sheldon just proposed to Michaela today! They’re getting married!”, Howard exclaimed.
“ Oh my god! Are you serious?!”, Bernadette exclaimed as a smile spread across her face.
“ Yes! He just did it at work today on our lunch break in front of everyone! He got down on one knee, asked her if she would be his wife and she accepted!”, Howard exclaimed.
“ That’s wonderful! Oh those two are going to be so happy together! I can just see it!”, Bernadette exclaimed as she embraced her husband.
“ Me too! Man I can’t wait for that day when they walk down that aisle and say I do! This is just going to be great! We’re all going to be friends for life!”, Howard exclaimed.
“ I’m going to call Penny and see if she knows yet!”, Bernadette exclaimed as she grabbed her phone, dialing Penny’s number.
“ Hello?”, Penny answered when she slumped on her couch after getting home from work.
“ Penny did Leonard tell you anything yet?!”, Bernadette exclaimed.
“ No I just got home. What is it Bernadette?”, Penny asked.
“ Howard just told me that Sheldon proposed to Michaela today! They’re getting married!”, Bernadette exclaimed.
“ Wait what?! Are you kidding me?!”, Penny exclaimed as she shot up from her couch. She couldn’t believe what she had just heard.
“ Do I sound like I’m kidding to you?! No!”, Bernadette exclaimed.
“ Oh my god, hold on one second!”, Penny exclaimed as she suddenly dropped her phone on the couch and sprinted over across the hallway to 4A banging her fist on the door shrieking, “ Sheldon Cooper you open this door right now! I need to talk to you!”
“ Penny?! Ahhhhhhh!”, Sheldon suddenly shrieked when he opened the door to the apartment only to get tackled into his spot like a football player by his friend who was screaming her head off in excitement as she was seemingly squeezing the life out of him with her arms.
“ For god sakes, Penny?!”, Leonard exclaimed as he rolled his eyes.
“ To what do I owe the displeasure of this obnoxious behavior?!”, Sheldon shrieked in surprise.
“ Oh you already know what this is you whackadoodle! This is about your engagement to Michaela! I am so happy for the two of you! What the hell brought this on?! You know what, screw it I don’t care!”, Penny shrieked with excitement as she suddenly kissed his cheek and ran back to her apartment picking her phone back up.
“ I just tackled Sheldon into his spot and kissed his cheek! Oh my god I can’t believe this!”, Penny shrieked with excitement.
“ Well what are you waiting for?! Call Amy!”, Bernadette exclaimed.
“ Oh to hell I will, bye!”, Penny shrieked as she quickly hung up and called Amy. The moment she told her that Sheldon and Michaela were getting married Amy instantly drove over to her best friend’s apartment and the two threw their arms around each other screaming with excitement. Michaela called her entire family and her best friend Midge telling them what happened and then they all showed up at Michaela’s house to congratulate her.
“ Hey bestie, come here! I am so happy for you! Congratulations!”, Midge exclaimed as she threw her arms around Michaela crying happy tears.
“ Thank you!”, Michaela exclaimed.
“ Yeah hot dog hot dog hot diggity dog!”, Darby exclaimed with a laugh.
“ Darby!”, Mr. and Mrs. Mansfield, Kira, Mavis, Evie, Reghan, Charlie, Matthew, Michaela, Midge, Gina, Kenny, Carter, Marywhether, Taylor, Louise, Alaina, Jared, Ronnie and Bonnie, Aunt Martha, Uncle George, Aunt Maria and Uncle Jason, Grandma and Grandpa Mansfield, Grandma and Grandpa Seemans, Aunt Katherine, Uncle Vernon, Aunt Dottie and Uncle Luther, Uncle Francisco, Great Aunt Velma and Great Uncle Jimmy shouted as they all glared at him.
“ What?! I was just expressing my happiness! Is that so wrong?!”, Darby laughed.
“ Oh shut up you dork!”, Charlie laughed as he smacked his cousin in the face.
“ Woof!”
“ Yeah thanks for nothing Oakley!”, Darby laughed as he rubbed his face.
