Over the next few months Mrs. Stormbender’s relationship with her boyfriend Alvin began to get stronger with each passing day and became quite serious pretty quickly. Raciella, Blaze and Arista were very happy about it and hoped that their parents would stay together forever because they really liked hanging out together. The three of them had already felt like they were sisters and had formed a sisterly bond with each other which made Mrs. Stormbender and Alvin very happy. Dexter, on the other hand, was still very angry and every day he kept trying to think of numerous ways to break up the relationship between his father and Mrs. Stormbender. It was very clear that he did not want anything to do with her or Arista despite the fact that they were trying so hard to be nice and friendly to him. The only thing he wanted was for his father and mother to get back together and for his family to just forget about the Stormbenders completely. He had hoped that by being rude and inconsiderate would make Mrs. Stormbender want to leave but no matter how hard he tried he could not break them up. In fact, the relationship between them continued growing to the point where one day they had decided to take things to the next level.
“ Raciella, Blaze, Arista, Dexter, we have something to tell you.”, Alvin said with a smile as he stood next to Mrs. Stormbender holding her hand while the 4 teens were sitting on the couch in the Stormbenders living room.
“ What is it Dad?”, Raciella asked.
“ Well, Delia and I have been talking and we’ve decided to take things to the next level.”, Alvin said as he was still smiling. Dexter just rolled his eyes.
“ Which is what?”, Blaze asked.
“ We’re getting married.”, Alvin and Mrs. Stormbender said at the same time with smiles on their faces.
“ Really?!”, Raciella, Blaze, and Arista exclaimed as they stared at them.
“ I proposed to Delia.”, Alvin said with his big smile as he nodded his head.
“ And I said yes!”, Mrs. Stormbender exclaimed as she showed off her beautiful engagement ring that Alvin had given her. Dexter’s jaw just dropped in complete shock when he saw this. He couldn’t believe what was going on and that his father proposed to the woman that he was trying to remove from his father’s life.
“ Oh my god no.”, Dexter groaned as he face palmed himself.
“ Yes! Sisters forever!”, Raciella, Blaze and Arista exclaimed as they jumped off the couch and hugged each other. They were so happy that their dreams of being sisters were finally coming true.
“ Ta loco what?! This is crap!”, Dexter shouted as he stood up and stormed out of the room.
“ Oh god, excuse me one moment Delia. Dexter get back here!”, Alvin said to her before he walked down the hallway and shouted at his son.
“ Leave me alone Dad! I don’t want to talk to you! How can you be so selfish?! Doesn’t my opinion matter to you at all?!”, Dexter shouted from behind a bedroom door.
“ What are you talking about?! I thought you would be happy about this!”, Alvin shouted.
“ Are you kidding me Dad?! I’m furious! Why are you marrying this woman?! She’s not Mom!”, Dexter shouted through the door.
“ I’m marrying her because she’s a very nice woman and I love her! Your sisters love her too and they love Arista! I also love Arista too like she’s my third daughter!”, Alvin shouted.
“ Just leave me be Dad! I don’t want to talk right now!”, Dexter shouted.
“ Alright fine, I’ll leave you alone to cool off! But join us when you’re ready!”, Alvin shouted as he walked away.
“ Yeah whatever!”, Dexter shouted.
‘ I can’t believe this! My dad’s marrying a woman he barely even knows and my sisters are happy about it! That’s it! I need to think of something to do to get these two to break up once and for all or else I’m gonna end up spending the rest of my life living under the same roof with someone I don’t even know! Question is, what is the most horrible thing I haven’t tried yet? I got it! I’ll just borrow a bull from one of my friend’s farms and then we’ll have some real fun!’, Dexter thought as he started thinking of how he was going to put his plan into action. He felt that this was his last ditch effort to get his father and Mrs. Stormbender broken up for good. So later that day Dexter told his father that he was going to visit one of his friends and all his father said was to just be careful and be back before dinner.
‘ Oh I will be back alright, back for the last dinner together with the Stormbenders hopefully!’, Dexter thought with a stupid smug smile on his face as he left the house. He returned 3 hours later and gathered his sisters and Arista together a couple blocks down the street. Cayela was also with them because she was hanging out with Arista at that time.
“ Ok Dexter why did you bring us down here?”, Raciella asked as she looked at her brother with a look of suspicion on her face.
“ Because I got something fun for us to do Raciella.”, Dexter said as he walked around to the back side of the large animal trailer that he had parked on the side of the street.
“ Something’s up here. Are you sure you’re ok?”, Blaze asked as she also was giving her brother a look of suspicion as well.
“ Yeah I’m fine Blaze! Can we save the questions until the end?!”, Dexter hissed as he unlocked the latches on the doors of the trailer.
“ That depends, what are you doing?”, Arista asked as she crossed her arms in front of her.
“ You’ll find out in a minute Arista!”, Dexter spat back at her with his hands on the handles of the doors.
“ I don’t understand what’s going on here. This is kind of freaky.”, Cayela said in concern as she stood next to Arista.
“ Yeah I don’t either Cayela.”, Arista said.
“ Hey will you two shut up or you’re gonna ruin the fun!”, Dexter hissed.
“ Ok fine Dexter! We’ll shut up!”, Arista hissed.
“ Thank you!”, Dexter hissed. Then he ripped open the doors and interjected in somewhat of a Spanish accent, “ Say hello to my little friend!” The girls gasped as Dexter pulled a large beefy sized bull out of the trailer.
“ Um, Dexter, that’s a bull. What are you doing with a bull?!”, Arista asked in confusion.
“ That’s none of your business Arista! That’s part of the fun I told you about!”, Dexter hissed.
“ Yeah I’m not so comfortable with this.”, Cayela said in a frightened tone.
“ Oh come on Cayela, what are you chicken?!”, Dexter hissed.
“ No, I just don’t think I want to be a part of this!”, Cayela argued back in a frightened tone.
“ Well too bad, you’re a part of it anyway!”, Dexter hissed as he got up in her face. Arista could see the look of terror in her friend’s face and decided to step in between her friend and Dexter.
“ Ok Dexter this is ridiculous! You’re scaring my friend! Stop it!”, Arista hissed.
“ I’ll do whatever I want! Now get on the bull’s head!”, Dexter hissed.
“ What?!”, Arista interjected as she stared at him with wide eyes.
“ You heard me, all 4 of you get on the bull’s head! 2 on each side holding onto the horns!”, Dexter hissed.
“ You’re crazy!”, Raciella shouted at her brother.
“ Just shut up Raciella and do what I said!”, Dexter shouted at his sister.
“ Ok fine!”, Raciella shouted as she reluctantly climbed up on top of the bull’s head. She pulled Blaze up with her while Arista climbed up on the other side pulling Cayela up with her.
“ But wait a minute, what are you gonna do Dexter?!”, Blaze interjected.
“ Duh, I’m gonna get on the bull’s back!”, Dexter interjected as he climbed up on the bull’s back and held on to the saddle handle.
“ Yeah but what is…?!”, Arista started to say but was interrupted when Dexter shouted, “ Torro!” and delivered a hard kick to the side of the bull with his foot causing the bull to start charging and thrashing down the street at a fast pace. The girls screamed in terror as they were bouncing up and down trying to hang on to the bull’s horns for dear life.
“ Dexter you idiot!”, Raciella screamed.
“ Oh come on quit your whinning Raciella! This is fun!”, Dexter laughed as he was sitting on the bull having the time of his life.
“ No it’s not you bonehead! You’re gonna kill us!”, Blaze screamed.
“ I second that one Blaze! Dexter stop it! This is dumb and dangerous!”, Arista screamed.
“ Yeah, and I’m… starting to lose… my breath!”, Cayela screamed out as she was trying to catch her breath.
“ Oh you’re fine Cayela! You’re just over exaggerating!”, Dexter laughed.
“ You want me to come up there and punch you in the face?! Because I will if you don’t stop this crazy charging bull!”, Arista shouted.
“ Oh just shut up and enjoy the fun! Cause I know I am!”, Dexter laughed as they were riding right past the Stormbenders house. The screams from the girls and the noise of the bull caught the attention of Alvin and Mrs. Stormbender. When they saw what was going on through the window they immediately came running out of the house screaming at them.
“ Dexter what are you doing?! Stop that bull now!”, Alvin shouted.
“ What was that?! I can’t hear you Dad! I’m having the time of my life!”, Dexter shouted loudly.
“ Dexter your father told you to stop!”, Mrs. Stormbender shouted at her fiance’s son.
“ Oh yeah sure whatever!”, Dexter sarcastically shouted.
“ DEXTER!”, Alvin and Mrs. Stormbender shouted at the same time.
“ Alright fine! I’ll stop!”, Dexter shouted as he pulled up on the reins of the bull causing it to come to a complete stop. Once the girls were safely taken off the bull Alvin shouted, “ Get in the house Dexter! Now!”
“ Fine!”, Dexter shouted as he stormed into the house. As they all gathered in the living room Alvin shouted, “ Have you lost your mind Dexter Augusto Morales?! Why were you running a bull through the neighborhood?! You could have seriously hurt your sisters, your soon-to-be sister and her autistic friend!”
“ Because I don’t want to be a part of this family! I want things to go back the way they were when it was just you, Mom, me, Raciella and Blaze!”, Dexter shouted. Then he lowered his voice and said, “ Just like I want my friend Emilio back.”
“ Is that what this is about?!”, Alvin scolded.
“ Yes! My friend Emilio Hernandez left for a deployment in Afghanistan and shortly after you and Mom separated he… got killed overseas. I was so upset about it that I couldn’t control my anger and that’s why I was taking it out on everybody. And that’s also why I’ve been so rude and mean lately too. Emilio was like my best friend in the entire world and I just miss him so much.”, Dexter sadly said.
“ Ok but that still doesn’t answer the question of why you’ve been trying to push my mom and I away when all we’ve been doing is being nice to you.”, Arista said as she narrowed her eyes at him.
“ Because I’m afraid that if I get close enough to you two then something will happen to you too just like it did to my friend and I don’t want to go through that pain again!”, Dexter shouted as a tear slid down his face.
“ So, you actually don’t hate us?”, Arista asked.
“ No I don’t hate you! This has nothing to do with you! This is just my feelings about my friend’s death coming out! I’m sad, I’m angry, I’m everything you could possibly think of right now! And the whole situation with my mom leaving just made it all worse!”, Dexter shouted as more tears were coming down his face.
“ Dexter why didn’t you just tell us that in the first place?”, Alvin asked in sympathy.
“ Because I was too upset to talk about it! You have no idea how much Emilio meant to me! He was my best friend, he was like a brother to me! We did everything together and went everywhere with each other! The day his mom called me and told me that he was gone I was so upset that I ran out into our shed and didn’t come out for like 4 days! That’s why you asked me why my eyes were so red after I came back into the house it’s because I was crying my eyes out day and night when I was out there! Heck it still hurts and I just want him back so bad!”, Dexter shouted as the tears kept coming.
“ Come here.”, Alvin said as he just pulled his son into an embrace. Dexter just let out all his emotions into his father’s chest.
“ It’s ok, just let it out.”, Alvin said.
“ I would give anything just to see him one more time! It’s not fair! He was still really young, only 3 years older than me! He was 19! That’s not where life’s supposed to end!”, Dexter cried.
“ I know.”, Alvin said. Dexter then pulled away from his father, turned to Mrs. Stormbender and Arista and cried, “ I’m really sorry that I’ve been so mean to you! I’ve just been so upset about losing my best friend that I wasn’t thinking straight!”
“ It’s ok Dexter, we forgive you.”, Mrs. Stormbender said.
“ And I’m really sorry for how I’ve been with you two lately! I’ve been such a butthead!”, Dexter cried when he faced his sisters. Raciella and Blaze just threw their arms around him crying. Cayela even got a little emotional too. But after the emotional moment was over Dexter asked, “ So now what?”
“ I think you know Dexter. Take the bull back to your friend Pedro’s farm.”, Alvin said as he narrowed his eyes at his son.
“ Alright I’ll be right back.”, Dexter said as he left the house and took the bull back to his friend’s farm. From that day on things have began to get better and Dexter began to improve his relationship with the Stormbenders. He stopped trying to interfere with his father’s engagement and a few months later everyone gathered down at the beach for the wedding. Alvin had decided beforehand that he was going to take the Stormbender last name and his children decided to as well.
“ I now pronouce you husband and wife! You may kiss the bride!”, the pastor said. The crowd cheered as the newlyweds kissed each other.
“ Dad!”, Arista exclaimed as she threw her arms around Alvin. She was so happy that she finally felt like she had a real father in her life.
“ Oh Arista I love you so much! We may not be blood related but you are my daughter regardless!”, Alvin said as he hugged her and kissed her forehead.
“ Hey sister!”, Raciella exclaimed as she threw her arms around Arista. Blaze did the same thing.
“ I can’t believe this! We’re actually sisters now!”, Arista exclaimed.
“ I know! I’m so happy!”, Raciella exclaimed.
“ Me too! We’re gonna be sisters forever and ever!”, Blaze exclaimed.
“ And I’m gonna be your brother forever!”, Dexter butted in with a stupid smirk on his face.
“ Oh shut it you dork!”, Arista laughed as she playfully shoved Dexter’s head.
“ Hey! I wasn’t ready for that Arista!”, Dexter laughed.
“ Well get with it dude!”, Arista laughed. Raciella and Blaze laughed as well.
“ Alright you four that’s enough! I don’t want you giving each other possible concussions!”, Mrs. Stormbender said.
“ Mom we’re just messing with each other! We just became a family today!”, Arista laughed.
“ I know and I’m really happy! I now have a loving new husband and four teenage children!”, Mrs. Stormbender said with a smile as she embraced all four of them.
“ Yo Stormbenders, over here!”, Charlotte shouted from across the beach as she stood next to the other girls and Kirby.
“ Charlotte what are you doing over there?!”, Arista shouted.
“ That’s none of your concern Arista! Just get over here!”, Charlotte shouted.
“ Go on. The 4 of you go do what you want.”, Mrs. Stormbender said with a smile. The 4 of them ran off with smiles on their faces. As the adults were enjoying the reception the teens were all hanging out together laughing and joking around. Things got even better when Arista suddenly heard someone shouting her name. Arista turned around and saw the person who said that. To her surprise it was her best friend from Wyoming.
“ Oh my god! Shaylynn!”, Arista exclaimed as she ran to her best friend and the two threw their arms around each other as if they hadn’t seen each other in years.
“ What’s up?!”, Shaylynn exclaimed.
“ Not much! What are you doing here?!”, Arista exclaimed.
“ Your mom invited us to come down here for the wedding!”, Shaylynn exclaimed.
“ Oh my god really?! I can’t believe you’re here!”, Arista exclaimed.
“ I know, right?! I try to keep asking my dad to bring me down here more often but he keeps saying that it costs too much to get gas and stuff like that.”, Shaylynn said.
“ Well then your dad must not know what he’s talking about then!”, Arista said in a joking way.
“ Uh you think?!”, Shaylynn laughed causing Arista to laugh as well. Then she asked, “ So who are these guys?”
“ These are my friends that I met down here. Come on, I’ll introduce you to them.”, Arista said.
“ Ok.”, Shaylynn said as she followed Arista over to the others. After introductions were made they all hung out with each other for the rest of the wedding reception. Mrs. Stormbender and Alvin left for their honeymoon shortly afterwards. Then two weeks later after they came home an unexpected power outage at Pasadena Middle School forced the school administrators to cancel school for that day meaning that once again Cayela had to go with her family to Caltech because they still had to work only this time Florence had to come with them too because her parents also had to work and didn’t want to leave her home alone with her brother Trevor. Mrs. Crenshamezki decided that it was best that way so that she could take Julianne with her to work and just send Trevor over to her sister-in law Serenity’s house. Once the girls get to Caltech, Sheldon takes them into his office while Leo, Leonard, Howard, Raj and Amy went off to their own offices and labs.
“ I always feel like somebody’s watching me!”, Cayela and Florence sang as they were listening to Cayela’s ipod and dancing around the office while Sheldon was working on his whiteboard.
“ Ok can you girls keep it down over there? I’m trying to work.”, Sheldon said over his shoulder.
“ Oh sure. Sorry Dad, we just got a little too carried away.”, Cayela said as she switched the song to Senorita by Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello.
“ That’s ok Cayela. You girls can have fun but just don’t get too crazy because I’m working and I can’t have any distractions.”, Sheldon said as he resumed working on his whiteboard.
“ Oh you mean like this?”, Florence asked as she climbed up onto Sheldon’s computer desk chair and stood up on it knocking her knuckles against the wall with a stupid smirk on her face. Cayela started snickering as she watched what her best friend was doing.
“ Florence Mary Jane Crenshamezki get down off my chair! You’re going to hurt yourself and your parents are not going to be happy with me or my wife if that happens!”, Sheldon scolded when he turned around and saw what she was doing.
“ Alright fine Dr. Cooper, I’ll get down!”, Florence laughed as she got down off the chair.
“ Thank you. I would really hate for something to happen to you in my office and your parents get mad at my wife and I for it. So it’s best to commence activities while your feet are touching the floor.”, Sheldon said as he turned back to his whiteboard.
“ Thanks for the tip.”, Florence said.
“ Of course.”, Sheldon said. The girls continued listening to music and chatting with each other while Sheldon continued to work. Then at some point Sheldon took a break and told the girls that he would be back in a moment and to not leave the office for any reason what so ever.
“ Alright Dad, we’ll just stay here.”, Cayela said.
“ Good because if you leave like the last time you did Cayela then you’re going to be in big trouble.”, Sheldon said as he headed to the door.
“ We get it Dad. We won’t go anywhere, I promise.”, Cayela said.
“ Alright, I shall be back in a moment.”, Sheldon said as he left his office after shutting the door behind him. But little did he know that someone was watching them from the ventilation system directly above the office and that something bad was going to happen. No sooner that he started walking away from his office he suddenly heard screams of terror from his daughter and her best friend coming from inside his office followed by dead silence. Sheldon immediately ran back to his office and threw open the door only to find that the girls were no longer there. Their cell phones and Cayela’s ipod were laying on the floor and the air vent cover was also on the floor. Upon seeing this Sheldon immediately knew what had happened and began to panic. His wife and his friends came running in there shortly after that.
“ What the hell happened in here?!”, Howard shrieked.
“ The girls just got kidnapped that’s what happened!”, Sheldon shrieked.
“ We need to get campus security now!”, Amy shrieked.
“ I’ll go with you! There’s no way in hell I’m letting something bad happen to my daughter and her best friend!”, Leo shrieked as she followed Amy. The two women ran down the hallway screaming, “ Help! Campus security! We have two child abductions on the premisis!”
“ Dude did you see who took them?!”, Raj shrieked.
“ No Raj! It happened just as I stepped out of my office and started walking away! Whoever it was came through the air duct in my office because the vent cover is off!”, Sheldon shrieked.
“ Well who the hell would do that?!”, Howard shrieked but just as he said that Leonard’s phone made a ding sound indicating that he got a new voice message. Leonard put it to his ear and instantly got a chill up his spine as he listened to it but he couldn’t understand it because it was in Korean language even though he had a friend who was a Korean-American.
“ Uh, Raj… could you call Yesenia and have her come here?! I just got this voice message in Korean and I can’t understand it!”, Leonard said in a concerned tone as he slowly put his phone away with a shaking hand.
“ What?!”, Sheldon and Howard shrieked as they stared at him.
“ I’ll call her right now!”, Raj shrieked as he took out his phone and called his girlfriend. He told her what the situation was and she immediately said she was on her way over.
“ I got here as soon as I could! You got the message Leonard?!”, Yesenia shrieked when she ran into the building.
“ Yeah I got it right here Yesenia! Could you please tell me what this says because I don’t understand it!”, Leonard shrieked as he took his phone out.
“ Sure! Give it!”, Yesenia shrieked as Leonard handed her his phone. The others looked at each other with suspicions on their faces.
“ You don’t think Joyce Kim had something to do with this do you?!”, Howard shrieked.
“ Why would you think that Leonard’s ex-girlfriend had something to do with this?!”, Amy shrieked.
“ I don’t know Amy! I just do! She was probably upset with Leonard for not giving her what she wanted from him and maybe wanted revenge!”, Howard shrieked.
“ Oh god Wolowitz, please don’t say that! That’s the last thing I want to hear!”, Leonard shrieked.
“ You guys shut up! I’m listening to the recording!”, Yesenia hissed as she pressed play and put the phone to her ear. She translated the first sentence as, “ Hello Leonard, this is Joyce Kim.” The second sentence she translated, “ Since you didn’t give me the information I wanted from you all those years ago I’ve decided to make you pay by taking something that is the most precious to you.” The third sentence was, “ I have taken your goddaughter Cayela and her stupid best friend Florence and if you ever want to see them again you better start telling me some confidential information or else things are going to get ugly.” The fourth sentence said, “ Go to the international border and leave a note tacked onto a metal fence post with all the info you know, if you don’t you’ll never see these girls again. Goodbye.” After Yesenia translated the whole message everyone’s hearts froze. It felt like someone had sucked the air out of the atmosphere.
“ Oh dear Lord! This is madness!”, Sheldon shrieked.
“ You’re telling me Sheldon! For God sakes, Yesenia are you sure it’s her?!”, Leonard shrieked.
“ Ne Leneodeu! I listened to the whole recording and I’m 100% sure that’s what it said! I know the Korean language like the back of my hand!”, Yesenia shrieked as she gave Leonard his phone back and he put it away.
“ Oh this is a bad thing! A very bad thing!”, Leonard shrieked.
“ I told that woman was bad but did you listen to me?! No!”, Sheldon shrieked.
“ Oh please Sheldon, how was I supposed to know that she was actually a North Korean spy that was just using me to gain information?! There were no red flags going off when I started dating her!”, Leonard shouted.
“ Wrong sir, wrong! There were red flags going off everywhere! You were just too blind to see them!”, Sheldon shouted.
“ Would you two asshats shut up?! This is not the time to be screaming at each other! The girls just got kidnapped by a North Korean woman! Who knows how far Joyce Kim got off with them by now?!”, Raj hissed at his two bickering friends.
“ But wait a minute, this doesn’t make any sense! If she dated Leonard before we all met then how does she know about Cayela and Florence?!”, Leo shrieked.
“ Yes I would like to know as well! This is preposterous!”, Sheldon shrieked.
“ No one knows genius!”, Howard hissed.
“ Unless she’s been stalking me this whole time! Oh this is not good!”, Leonard shrieked.
“ We need to intercept them somehow! Like ASAP!”, Amy shrieked.
“ I’ll call my family in South Korea and ask them to help! Maybe they can intercept the North Korean ship over international waters! We can’t let those girls get to North Korea! We’ll never get back if they cross that border!”, Yesenia screamed as she took her phone out and called her sister Marisol.
“ Yeje nia? ( Yesenia?)”, Marisol answered the phone.
“ O Malisol daedab hae jusyeoseo gamsahabnida! Naneun pil-yohada dangsin geos gwa uliui hyeongje jamae doum! ( Oh Marisol thank god you answered! I need yours and our siblings help!)”, Yesenia screamed into the phone at her sister.
“ Wae, mwoya gyesog?! Wae hada dangsin soli geulaeseo kkamjjag nollan?! ( Why, what’s going on?! Why do you sound so scared?!)”, Marisol asked in concern.
“ Ttaemun-e naneun pil-yohada dangsin neom hada eotteon geos …e daehan naleul! Gajyeo ogi Nuga gwa Halli gwa gajyeo ogi neom geumankeum gajang gakkaun hang-gu jigeum! ( Because I need you to do something for me! Get Luke and Harley and get to the nearest harbor now!)”, Yesenia screamed.
“ Hwag-in dangsin-eun goemul naleul bakk! Mwoya gyesog?! ( Ok you’re freaking me out! What’s going on?!)”, Marisol asked as her voice started to become more worried. She had never heard her sister so freaked out and scared in her entire life before so she knew something was up but she didn’t know what it was yet.

I love that little girl and her friends so much and I don’t want to lose them!)”, Yesenia screamed into the phone as her voice was starting to crack. To Marisol, her sister almost sounded like she was crying and was very frightened. Tears began to start coming down her face as well as she listened to her sister’s distressed voice.
“ O nae haneunim jinsim iseyo?! Geugeon jeongmal nappeuda Yeje nia! Naneun uiji gajyeo ogi uliui donglyos gwa jal seteu bakk gwonli tteol-eojyeo! ( Oh my god are you serious?! That’s horrible Yesenia! I will get our brothers and we’ll set out right away!)”, Marisol cried out.
“ Gamsahabnida Malisol! Budi josimhae! Salanghae, annyeong! ( Thank you Marisol! Please be careful! I love you, bye!)”, Yesenia cried.
“ Salanghae neomu, annyeong! ( I love you too, bye!)”, Marisol cried as she hung up. She immediately ran off to tell their brothers about what was going on and after their parents overheard this Yesenia’s siblings were told to take at least several friends with them before setting out to intercept the ship. They did just that and headed out in a large speedboat that was owned by the Chang family across the water. They brought along a Korean-English translator so that the girls would be able to understand them once they find them. Yesenia had also sent a picture of what the girls looked like so that they would know who they’re looking for. Meanwhile on the North Korean ship in a dark bunker below the deck Cayela and Florence were freaking out about what had just happened to them. Their restraints rattled against the metal walls as the ship rocked from side to side on the rough seas. Cayela’s anxiety was going off the walls because she didn’t understand what was going on and why that they were now on a ship heading to North Korea.
“ Cayela I’m scared! What just happened to us?! One minute we were in your dad’s office and now all of a sudden I don’t know where we are!”, Florence screamed.
“ I don’t know either Florence! I’ve never been in a situation like this before! I think someone just kidnapped us!”, Cayela screamed.
“ What are we going to do?! What if no one finds us out here?! I want my mom and dad!”, Florence screamed as she started to cry.
“ I do too but don’t say that! I’m sure someone’s looking for us! We’ve got each other and we’ll get out of this, somehow!”, Cayela screamed as she started to cry too. This prompted someone to scream at them from the deck above.
“ Chimmug! ( Silence!)”
“ Shut up! I can’t understand you! Neither can my best friend!”, Florence shouted up through a hole in the ceiling as she continued crying.
“ Chimmug ttoneun jal jug-im dangsin! ( Silence or we’ll kill you!)”
“ What part of we can’t understand you don’t you get?! We don’t speak Korean even though one of my aunties is a Korean-American!”, Cayela shouted through her tears as well.
“ Geuge daya! Dangsin hayeoya handa chamda! Gomun them! ( That’s it! You shall suffer! Torture them!)” The girls screamed and cried as several North Koreans entered the bunker and whipped them around with belts as they sat on the bench restrained to the walls. This went on for several minutes before Florence cried out, “ Alright we’ll shut up!” This ended the torture and their captors left locking the door behind them. As the girls cried in silence the ship suddenly hit something that tore a hole in the bow of the ship causing it to start taking on water. As water started seeping into the bunker several Koreans were shouting things above them causing them to started freaking out even more.
“ Oh my god Cayela we need to get out of here! The ship is sinking!”, Florence cried as she watched the water slowly start to come up over her feet.
“ I know that Florence but what are we going to do?! We’re handcuffed to the wall!”, Cayela cried.
“ I don’t know figure it out or we’re going to die!”, Florence cried.
“ Ok ok just give me a minute!”, Cayela cried.
“ We don’t have a minute! Just do something bestie! The water’s coming up fast!”, Florence cried as she watched the water get a little higher. In an instant Cayela used all the strength she had to pull one of her wrists free from the metal frame of one of the cuffs and then she pulled her other one free. She then freed Florence and kicked out one of the metal barred windows before swimming out the opening dragging her best friend with her. Cayela and Florence started swimming away from the sinking ship but were spotted by several North Koreans who began shouting things at them and they jumped into the water to try to catch them.
“ Gajyeo ogi dwi yeogi! Eodi hada dangsin saeng-gaghanda dangsin-eun jinhaeng?! ( Get back here! Where do you think you’re going?!)”, one man shouted after them as he was swimming toward them with several other North Koreans following him including Joyce Kim.
“ Oh my god they’re coming after us! Swim for your life Crenshamezki!”, Cayela screamed as she started swimming faster. Her soaking wet clothes and diaper made it difficult but at that moment she didn’t care. All she wanted was for her and her best friend to get away from these bad people and be rescued by their families.
“ Oh you don’t have to tell me twice Fordyce-Cooper! I’m already doing it!”, Florence screamed as she was swimming madly to catch up to Cayela as if she was in the Summer Olympics. The salt-water waves crashed over their heads as they were swimming for dear life.
“ This water’s burning my eyes!”, Florence screamed as she was trying to keep her head above the water.
“ I know but we have to keep swimming! We can’t let these bad people get us because there’s no telling what they’ll do to us! It might be worse than being whipped with belts!”, Cayela screamed.
“ Yeah that’s a good point Cayela! I don’t think I want to find out!”, Florence screamed.
“ Neither do I! Just keep swimming Florence!”, Cayela screamed.
“ Ok!”, Florence screamed. The girls kept swimming and after a few minutes Florence screamed, “ You think we lost them?!”
“ I don’t know! Let me check!”, Cayela screamed. She looked over her shoulder and didn’t see the North Koreans anymore. All she saw was rough surf and sky.
“ I don’t see them anymore! I think we got away!”, Cayela screamed as she stopped swimming and started to tread water.
“ Oh thank god! I’m so exhausted!”, Florence screamed as she stopped swimming and began to tread water just like Cayela too.
“ I know me too! But we got to tread water now if we want to stay alive!”, Cayela screamed.
“ I’m so scared that I’m shaking right now!”, Florence screamed.
“ Me too but we got to keep going! We can’t stop now!”, Cayela screamed.
“ You’re right! Oh god we’re in the middle of the ocean with nothing around us for miles and no cell phones!”, Florence screamed.
“ You think I don’t know that?! I’m seeing the same thing you are!”, Cayela screamed.
“ This is horrible! No one’s gonna find us out here, we’re gonna die at sea and our parents aren’t going to have a clue of what happened to us!”, Florence screamed as she started to cry again.
“ Would you calm down bestie?! Everything’s gonna be fine! I told you someone is probably looking for us! We just need to stay strong and keep our heads above the water!”, Cayela cried.
“ I just want to go home! I don’t want to die out in the middle of whatever freakin’ ocean this is! We’re 14 years old and 7th grade middle schoolers! We’re too young for this!”, Florence cried.
“ I know but just calm down! We’ll get out of this, somehow! We just have to!”, Cayela cried. But no sooner that she said that the seas started to get a little rougher and the howling winds started to pick up. The water started to circulate as well.
“ Oh god! What did we just get ourselves into now?!”, Florence screamed.
“ It’s a hurricane! Grab on to me Florence and don’t let go! Tread water as much as you can to keep your head above the water!”, Cayela screamed as they started spinning around in the storm.
“ You got it Cayela! Grab my hand!”, Florence screamed as she reached her hand out to Cayela. Cayela gripped it tightly as the rough seas and hurricane force winds whipped around them.
“ MOM, DAD! ANYONE, HELP US!”, Cayela and Florence screamed for their parents over the howling winds as they held onto each other and continued to tread water. This lasted for quite a while until things started to calm down.
“ Is it over?!”, Florence frighteningly asked.
“ I don’t think so! I think we’re just in the eye of the storm! Keep holding onto me until after the back side of the storm comes through!”, Cayela frighteningly said.
“ Ok!”, Florence frighteningly said. No sooner after she said that the second half of the storm came through and the girls screamed in terror as they hung onto each other for dear life. Once the storm passed they let go of each other but stayed close by each other. They didn’t want to get separated from each other.
“ Ok now it’s over!”, Cayela frighteningly said.
“ Good! Let’s hope we don’t get caught in another one!”, Florence frighteningly said. Cayela nodded her head and passed out. Florence did too and when they came to they suddenly found themselves staring into the face of another Korean woman. The girls screamed thinking that they had been captured again but then they heard the woman trying to speak to them with a worried look on her face which didn’t make sense to them so the Korean-English translator was brought over to try to talk to them.
“ Jinjeonghae, ulineun ani jinhaeng neom sangcheo dangsin! Nae ileum-eun Malisol Chang gwa ideul du aleu nae donglyos Nuga gwa Halli! Ulineun Yeje nia’s hyeongje jamae gwa ulineun dangsin-eul delyeoga dwi neom Migug!”, Marisol pleaded as Luke and Harley walked over to her and stood behind her.
“ Calm down, we’re not going to hurt you! My name is Marisol Chang and these two are my brothers Luke and Harley! We’re Yesenia’s siblings and we’re taking you back to America!”, the translator said as she sat next to Marisol.
“ Are you sure?!”, Cayela frighteningly asked as she sat next to Florence on the boat bench with a blanket wrapped around her. Florence had one wrapped around her as well. Both girls were shivering from being in the cold ocean water and weren’t sure what to believe yet. The translator turned back to Marisol and asked, “Hwagsilhabnikka?!”
“ Ye, dangsin-eun anjeonhan! Ulineun …eseo Daehanmingug! Yeje nia malhaessda uli neom chajgi dangsin! Yeoja yeossda geulaeseo geogjeong yag dangsin gat-i jal gat-i geumankeum swida ui neoui gajogs! Ulineun dangsin-eul delyeoga dwi neom them!”, Marisol exclaimed as she nodded her head.
“ Yes, you’re safe! We’re from South Korea! Yesenia told us to find you! She was so worried about you as well as the rest of your families! We’re taking you back to them!”, the translator said.
“ Oh thank you so much! You have no idea what we have been through for who knows how long! The ship hit something and we escaped from it, swimming as fast we could to get away but then we got caught in a hurricane before we ended up here on your boat!”, Florence exclaimed.
“ O jeongmal gomabseubnida! Dangsin issda ani saeng-gag mwo uli issda doeeossseubnida …eul tonghayeo …e daehan who alda eotteohge gin! “ Joh-eun haneul, neo gwaenchanh ni?!”, Marisol exclaimed in complete shock and worry.
“ Good heavens, are you two ok?!”, the translator said.
“ Yes we’re fine but we’re soaking wet and cold!”, Cayela exclaimed.
“ Ye ulineun joh-a geuleona ulineun mom-eul damgeuda jeoj-eun gwa chubda!”, the translator said.
“ We’re in pain too! They whipped us with belts!”, Florence exclaimed.
“ Ulineun gotong neomu! Geudeul chaejjigjil uli wa belteus!”, the translator said. Marisol gasped at this and just embraced the girls as she started to cry. She just couldn’t imagine the torture the girls must have went through at the hands of those evil Koreans. Cayela and Florence began to calm down as they sat together wrapped in Marisol’s gentle embrace. They knew that these were good people that had found them and they would be reunited with their families soon. After a few days at sea the girls faces lit up the moment they saw the Statue of Liberty come into view. They knew that they had finally reached America. Once they all got to the border and Marisol told the police who they were with the help of the translator the girls were told that they could get off the boat. When they saw their parents they ran across the dock to them screaming, “ Mom, Dad!”
“ Cayela? Cayela!”, Leo and Sheldon exclaimed as they took their daughter into their arms. They literally fell to their knees as they cried tears of joy and relief.
“ Florence!”, Mr. and Mrs. Crenshamezki exclaimed as they did the same thing. They were so happy to have her back. The others came flying down the dock toward them as well.
“ For God sake Cayela, Florence!”, Leonard interjected as he just threw his arms around the girls.
“ THANK the bitchin’ LORD you two are ok! We were so worried that we would never see you again!”, Dakota screamed as she threw her arms around them too.
“ Let me in Dakota! Move the hell out of the way!”, Penny screamed as she shoved Dakota aside and embraced the girls too. Amy and Bernadette did the same thing followed by Howard, Raj, Yesenia and the rest of them. Yesenia then ran to her siblings and threw her arms around them crying tears of joy.
“ Jeongmal gomabseubnida Malisol, Nuga gwa Halli! Geumankeum se ui dangsin aleu geumankeum beseuteu hyeongje jamae naneun hal su iss-eossda ijekkaji mul-eobogi …e daehan! Neol neomunado salanghae! ( Thank you so much Marisol, Luke and Harley! The three of you are the best siblings I could ever ask for! I love you so much!)”, Yesenia happily cried as she embraced her siblings with a smile on her face.
“ Mullon-iya Yeje nia! Ulineun hangsang yeogi …e daehan seolo munje eobs-eo mwo! ( Of course Yesenia! We’re always here for each other no matter what!)”, Luke happily cried. When the four of them let go of each other Leo suddenly butted in and she asked, “ Are these your siblings Yesenia?!”
“ Yes Leo! This is Marisol, Luke and Harley!”, Yesenia exclaimed as she introduced her siblings to her friend. Leo then took out her phone, opened up a language speaking app, typed what she wanted to say and just let it speak.
“ Yeoboseyo, nae ileum ida Dagteo Saja byeoljali Fordyce-Cooper! Jeongmal gomabseubnida neom geumankeum se ui dangsin …e daehan balgyeon nae ttal Daieol gwa gajyeo ogi geunyeo dwi neom nae nampyeon Seldeon gwa naneun! Ulineun neomu geogjeonghaessda geu uli hal geos-ida mos boda geunyeo dasi gwa geugeos mandeun uli neomu seulpeo neom saeng-gaghanda geu ttaemun-e yeoja ida uliui jabusim gwa jeulgeoum! You three are the best saving graces we could ever ask for!)”, Leo’s phone said as tears of happiness were still coming down Leo’s face.
“ Dangsin-eul hwan-yeonghabnida! ( You are so welcome!)”, Marisol happily cried as she hugged Leo. The Crenshamezkis also thanked them too and shortly after the reunions the girls were taken to the hospital to be treated for their injuries. But just when things were starting to calm down things suddenly began to get ramped up again when the same North Korean people came back including Joyce Kim. She suddenly showed up at the same hospital Cayela and Florence were admitted at one day with her several assassin associates to cause more trouble and to get the girls back. But what she didn’t count on was seeing several big, strong, muscular South Korean men standing in the lobby blocking her path the moment she stepped in the door with her comrades. It was Harley Chang and his friends.
“ Jungji! Hajima wassda eotteon deo meolli ttoneun dangsin-eun jinhaeng neom jusawi! Tteonada i byeong-won …eseo hanbeon! ( Stop! Don’t come any farther or you’re going to die! Leave this hospital at once!)”, Harley shouted as he angrily threw his finger at Joyce Kim and her friends.
“ Mwo ida i?! Gajyeo ogi bakk ui uliui bangbeob gwa who aleu dangsin?! ( What is this?! Get out of our way and who are you?!)”, Joyce Kim shouted at him as she smacked his hand away.
“ Halli Chang, amkae! Dangsin gwa neoui amsalja chingu aleu ani eoseo osibsio yeogi! Gajyeo ogi bakk gwonli jigeum geuleohji anh-eumyeon dangsin sowon neom kkeulda chimyeongjeog-eulo Taegwondo ssaum e majseo naleul gwa nae chingu! ( Harley Chang, bi**h! You and your assassin friends are not welcome here! Get out right now unless you wish to engage in a deadly Taekwondo fight against me and my friends!)”, Harley shouted as he got up in her face making angry hand gestures toward her.
“ Gajyeo ogi bakk ui nae eolgul Chang! Hajima call naleul geu, neomu mulyehan! Nae ileum ida Joiseu Kim gwa man-yag dangsin hajima eon-eo naleul eodi geu du sibda sonyeos aleu naneun jinhaeng neom danjeol neoui mog! ( Get out of my face Chang! Don’t call me that, that’s so disrespectful! My name is Joyce Kim and if you don’t tell me where those two teenage girls are I’m going to break your neck!)”, Joyce Kim shouted as she roughly shoved Harley away from her. Harley stumbled into one of his friends but didn’t fall. Tensions started to rise between the two Korean sides causing the hospital security to lockdown the entire hospital. Harley just stares at the North Koreans with anger in his eyes for a moment before he let out a battle cry and delivered a hard fast spinning kick to Joyce Kim’s head sending her spinning backwards in the arms of one of her associates as she let out a blood-curdling scream. This instantly sparked a fight between the two sides causing people in the lobby to scream and scatter up the stairwells of the hospital. The security tried to break it up but the Taekwondo fight was so out of control that it eventually made its way up to the second floor causing more panic and people running everywhere. The moment Dakota saw Joyce Kim after Leonard told her what she looked like, she roughly grabbed the Korean woman and threw her up against the wall. Dakota gripped Joyce’s face so tightly that her nails were digging into her flesh, brought her face nearly inches in front of her and screamed, “ Ok listen here twisted sister, let me tell you something! Nobody and I mean NOBODY screws with my family! Do you hear that?! Leonard told me everything you did, well you know what?! I’m about to break your skull and every last bone in your body for what you did to my goddaughter and her best friend! What do you say to that Joyce Kim?!”
“ Hwag-in deullida yeogi kkoin yeoja hyeongje, naleul boja eon-eo dangsin eotteon geos! Amudo gwa naneun pyeong-gyun AMUDO nasa wa nae gajog! Hada dangsin deudda geu?! Mwo hada dangsin malhada neom geu Joiseu Kim?!”, the translator screamed in Korean as she stood next to Dakota.
“ Dagchyeo naneun hajima neodo al-a!”, Joyce Kim shouted.
“ Shut up I don’t even know you!”, the translator screamed as Joyce Kim slapped Dakota’s hand away from her face.
“ Oh so you want to know who the hell I am is that it?!”, Dakota screamed at her.
“ O geulaeseo dangsin pil-yo neom algoissda who geumankeum jiog naneun ojeon ida geu geugeos?!”, the translator screamed.
“ Ye naneun hada! Who aleu dangsin?!”, Joyce Kim shouted.
“ Yes I do! Who are you?!”, the translator screamed.
“ My name is Dakota and I’m Leonard’s wife, bitch! I want to know why you and your stupid pals are coming around here messing with my family! Nobody wants you here!”, Dakota screamed.
“ Nae ileum ida Dakota gwa naneun Leneodeu’s anae, amkae! Naneun pil-yo neom algoissda wae dangsin gwa neoui babo danjjags aleu oneun juwie yeogi eongmang wa nae gajog! Amudo pil-yos dangsin yeogi!”, the translator screamed.
“ Geugeo neolang sang-gwan eobs-eo gwa hajima jeoju …eseo naleul!”, Joyce Kim shouted.
“ That’s none of your business and don’t swear at me!”, the translator screamed as Joyce Kim swung her arm and landed a hard punch to the side of Dakota’s head.
“ Ow! Oh so now you want to get swingy and go like that?! Well come here! I’m going to rip your hair because no one does that to Dakota ‘ Skullbreaker’ Hofstadter!”, Dakota screamed as she lashed out at Joyce Kim and grabbed her by the hair. The two of them instantly got into an all out catfight with each other, screaming things at each other and pulling on each other’s hair even though Dakota had a pixie cut. A smug smile began to spread across Leonard’s face as he stood there watching his wife and ex-girlfriend go at it with each other while the deadly Taekwondo fight between the Korean men was still going on around them.
‘ I so love this woman!’, Leonard thought in his head as he shook his head. The others entered the hallway from the girls’ room and started to smirk the moment they saw Dakota pick up a folding chair she found and whacked Joyce Kim in the face with it so hard that it knocked her to the floor. Yesenia busted out laughing and fell to her knees after she saw this. The others started laughing too including Sheldon. When Dakota had felt that Joyce Kim had enough she kicked her down a flight of stairs to the basement of the hospital and shouted, “ Next time don’t mess with my family or else I’ll be sending your head back to that evil dictator of yours on a silver platter!” One by one the other guys were kicked down there too by Harley and his friends before they slammed the door shut. Joyce Kim and her associates were then arrested by border officials and deported back to North Korea. Thankfully the girls did not hear any of this because they were sleeping the whole time. After a few days in the hospital the girls were allowed to go back home.
“ That was the scariest situation ever. I really hope that never happens again.”, Leo said as she sat on the couch that night next her husband Sheldon. Leonard was sitting in his chair with Dakota standing behind him with her arms gently resting on his shoulders. Cayela was laying across Leo’s and Sheldon’s knees wearing just a t-shirt and diaper sleeping peacefully with Oreo curled up resting on her back purring.
“ As do I as well. Joyce Kim is nothing but a cruel, vile jezebel and she certainly had no right to do that.”, Sheldon said as he looked at his wife and down at his daughter. Then he turned to Leonard and said, “ I hope this makes you understand Leonard that you can’t trust everyone you meet. If you do it could have deadly consequences.”
“ Yes I get it Sheldon. I won’t ever do that again.”, Leonard said.
“ Well I think that’s enough craziness for now. We should probably get Cayela to bed and go to bed ourselves.”, Leo said.
“ Yes I very much agree.”, Sheldon said as he gently picked up Oreo off of Cayela’s back.
“ Ok come here sweetheart. Let’s get you to bed.”, Leo softly said as she gently picked Cayela up into her arms. She carried her to her room with her husband and her two friends following her. They tucked her in, kissed her good night and told they loved her before they went to bed themselves.
Wow what a crazy scenario! What do you think will happen next?! Find out in the next chapter and FYI, I know the likelyhood of those girls surviving a hurricane out in the middle of the ocean is very slim to none but I really liked this and I wanted it to come out as a happy ending! Please don’t chew me out and think that this scene was a little too dramatic! Again I liked it and I thought it was funny! To be continued…
