A week had passed , and the guy who raped Maddie was taken to a maximum state prison , because of his meteor ability.
Clark stood in the living of Maddie house with Vesta holding his hand .
“ Clark I really appreciate all you did for me
“ I wouldn’t had the courage to identify him”.
She looked down at Vesta .
“ I’m not sure , but I know somehow you played a role in helping me too”.
Vesta smiled up at her.
They talked for a few more minutes, than said their goodbyes .
“ Maddie just remember I’ll always be just a call away”.
“ Okay Clark”.
She gave them both hugs , and a kiss on the cheek.
Clark lifted Vesta into the car , and buckle her in.
“ Daddy”
“ What sweetheart?”
“ Can we stopped by the Talon on the way home , and get something to eat”?
“ I’m hungry”.
“ Yes, we can stop my tank is running on empty too” .
He got in the car, and buckle his seatbelt”.
They got to the Talon , and sat down in a corner booth.
A waitress handed them two menu.
“ I’ll give you two a few minutes to decide”.
“ Daddy I want a cheese burger , and onion rings “.
Clark looked over the menu.
“ Sir are you ready to order?”
“ Yes she’ll have a cheese burger with onion rings” , and I’ll have the grilled chicken , and French fries”.
“ Daddy I need to tell you something”.
“ I helped Maddie remember his face”.
“ How”, he said with concern on his face.
“ I went into her room , and held her hand , and transferred the image of him from my mind to hers , and that is what brought back her memory”.
After they ate he talk to her more about her new found power.
“ Sweetheart how did you discover you could do that”.
“ Kara told me to work on my new power ,so I did “.
“ Vesta you did a good thing , but next time you need to tell me”.
“ Okay daddy. But if I hadn’t of she might not never remember”.
Clark stopped the car , and went to unbuckle her.
“Sweetheart I just want you to be careful a new power comes with a lot of responsibly”.
“ Daddy Kara already told me that”.
“ I’m glad I helped Maddie get her memory back , before he attacked someone else”.
They walked into the house. “ I’m proud of you”.
