Cassie DiMera sat happily snuggled into her father. Not more than a few feet away her twin and Mimi were also snuggled into one an other. For her life had finally started to get better the night her daddy had shone up to take her back.Daddy had explained simply that every thing was going to be alright from now on. He had showed her proof that a fake and her grandfather had been behind it all. Daddy had said he had taken care of both of them, and that nothing would keep the three of them apart again. She knew daddy would make everything right again, after all he was daddy.
Tony felt very complete, life was now as it should be. He and his children were together, safely at a villa in the sunny Costa Rica. Tony hugged Cassie close to him, and enjoyed the feel of the sea breeze as they sat just enjoying each others company.
It was then that Bart came up to Tony and whispered into his ear. Tony gave his daughter a quick hug then moved to the back entrance of the villa and headed into the study. It was there at Tony found his half brother John Black.
Standing quietly looking him, Tony felt himself tense if John was here. That could mean that Roman or the ISA was also here or on their way. On their way to take his children form him. Tony frowned he was not about to let anyone take the twins from him.
John: "Just so we are clear Tony. No one, is here or coming to take Cassie, Rex or Mimi from here."
Tony: "What.......what the hell are you playing at?"
John: "I'm not playing at anything. I'm just here to give you some advice and this folder. One your getting a bit sloppy or who ever you had do some of the leg work was. Two never leave hard copies of anything. Three, be happy Tony. Be the father that they need, don't let them down. Lastly, I know we will never get along or anything. But just drop me a post card sometimes and you will never have to worry about anyone finding you and the twins."
That said John Black placed the folder in Tony's stunned hands. Then walked out of the den and headed off to the local casino to play a few hands of Texas Holdem. Tony was left standing in the den staring at the door.
Never in his life had he ever thought that what had just happened would ever happen. Tony opened the folder and found things he thought had been taken care of. He found that it contained hospital records along with several other documents that should have been destroyed. Tony felt bewilderment fill him, he and John had a very nasty history. Why would John put himself out on the line for Tony and his children?
Tony stood there for awhile, wondering at the whys and the how’s. A voice however broke his brooding, Tony put the folder down. Leaving it for later, for now he had more important things to do. Tony had to a dinner date with his children.
