The Romans attacked!
Draco yelled at the Minoan troops to fight to the death – anything to hold their position! On the east wing of the lines, Gabrielle commanded the Amazon battalion, who took convincing to join this fight. The fight began when the village of Minos received a messenger from Caesar, asking for the leadership of the small village to yield their allegiance to Rome. Minos, being one of ten great communities in the region, was led by a High Council of elders – men who were weathered with age. Since the ten great communities, which were all affectionately referred to by all its’ people as the Kingdom of New Greece, had not seen war in years, it was only expected that the high councils of all ten villages shrugged off the possibility of being invaded. Their naivete was their undoing as, one by one, the first three of the ten villages quickly met with invasion. Men, women, and children were crucified for all to see – to know that defying Rome meant death. It was Draco and Gabrielle who led Minos, after the elders of the High Council conceded their seats out of the necessity for leadership with combat experience.Draco quickly organized the fighting people of Minos to meet with others from the remaining cities. The result was a vast army of eager fighters who needed the training necessary for war with Rome.Gabrielle, as an Amazon Queen, quickly sent word that the Amazons were needed in this fight. The nearest tribe responded with a refusal, saying that although Gabrielle was still a well-respected Amazon monarch, the Amazons did not belong in this fight. Gabrielle had to remind them that 1) Amazons do not refuse battle when evil threatens good; and 2) This was their fight, since Rome had not only massacred other Amazon tribes, but were well on their way to massacre the remaining few.The first battle was a major victory for the Kingdom of New Greece, and one that surprised the Roman Generals.Draco was quickly appointed as the Commanding General of all armed forces, and the people quickly learned to revere him. Gabrielle felt comforted, knowing that such love for Draco was not from her alone – that it wasn’t just her who had possibly gone insane. It was easy for Gabrielle to feel this way – to doubt her feelings for Draco whenever she was outside of his bedroom and back in the “real world.” Her carnal desire for this reformed warlord filled her with guilt whenever she was on her own or among other people. But she also had to admit to herself that her carnal desire had awakened within her a whole new love – or obsession – with Draco that created an intense excitement – a rejuvenation of her life, especially after the death of Xena.In the heat of battle, as Gabrielle commanded the Amazon battalion, she could see Draco from afar, wielding his sword, commanding his troops. She noticed something strange about him – the look on his face as he would lop the heads off of attacking Romans. He decimated these men, spilling their blood without malice. It was the look on his face as he did this. He was smiling. He was a warlord again. War was his carnal desire.
The battle ended in a draw, and the New Kingdom of Greece suffered heavy casualties. As Gabrielle tended the wounded, she heard a familiar voice from behind her …“Same old Gabrielle.”She turned around to see it was Virgil, son of Joxer!“Virgil!”She quickly embraced the handsome young man, who met her embrace with equal love.“What are you doing here?” she asked.“Chronicling the war. This is something a writer should not miss, despite the atrocity.”“Are you planning to write a History?”“Something like that.”Virgil stared into Gabrielle’s icy eyes, rekindling the flame that once existed between the two. Gabrielle knew that if it weren’t for Xena, she might have returned Virgil’s affection for her. But Xena was gone now, and Gabrielle was free. Except she wasn’t.“Virgil,” said Gabrielle. “Look… I …”“Yes?” said Virgil, anxious. He was blushing.“I just wanted you to know…”“I know about Xena,” he said. “Actually, part of my reason for being here was to see you.”Now it was Gabrielle who was blushing.“I mean…” Virgil stuttered, found his words… “I’m writing about Xena. I’d like your input… and your blessing.”“Oh Virgil… why… of course.”From a distance, Draco watched the two with insane jealousy.“Who is he?” demanded Draco. The two were in their private tent, where battle maps and weapons were scattered everywhere.“His name is Virgil,” said Gabrielle, irritated.“Virgil?” scoffed Draco. “What, like the poet?”“He is the poet,” she said. This filled him with more jealousy. “Oh… so the great Bard has met the great poet and wants to run away with him!”Angrily, Gabrielle said to him, “I had met Virgil long before I ran back into you!”“And how? Did you accidentally trip and he caught you?”“He was the son of Joxer. My friend.”“Joxer!” cried Draco. A smile came across him. “That pipsqueak?”Immediately, Gabrielle’s fears felt affirmed – Draco was relapsing back into his old self.“What’s happened to you, Draco?” “Me?” he replied. “I’ve been wondering what has happened to you! I have not had you in months…”“There’s a war, Draco!” cried Gabrielle. “A war that apparently you’re enjoying!”“That part of me died a long time ago.”“It didn’t look like that when you were smiling after all the men you killed!”“I don’t know what you’re talking about.”“I saw you! I saw you, Draco! You were enjoying it.”“You’re wrong.”“Am I?”Draco turned away from her, staring out the tent.“I watched you,” she continued, “and it looked as if you were that same warlord who I hated all those years.”He turned back to her. “I am not that man,” he confidently stated.A silence took hold between the two.“Gabrielle,” he said. “I don’t know what I have done to disappoint you… but believe me… I would rather die than hurt you.”Gabrielle’s anger subsided slowly – she loved hearing him speak this way.“Gabrielle… I have received a message from the councils of the ten villages, with even more attached messages… signatures…..”“You mean petitions?” said Gabrielle.“Yes. Petitions.” Draco grabbed the rolled up message off the desk with the scattered maps.“What is it?” she asked.Draco handed Gabrielle the message. She unrolled it and began reading.“I want you to know,” said Draco, “that I will never agree to it unless I have your support.”Gabrielle finished reading the message, her mouth agape. She looked at Draco, staring into his eyes. He returned her gaze – his eyes never lied to her – he was serious. He would not agree to become King of the Kingdom of New Greece unless she supported it.
The war was over, and the Romans had pulled their defeated armies out of Greece. Although many believed that the power of Draco could defeat any army, many realists knew that Caesar lost desire in conquering the Greek lands of the New Kingdom. Whatever the case was, the people had been united into a new community – and they wanted a king to lead them into the future. The people had chosen Draco to begin a new dynasty of royalty that would lead Kingdom of New Greece into the future.
Gabrielle had told Draco long ago that she felt it was not up to her to tell him he should accept or reject the new throne. However, deep inside, she thought that Draco had such potential as a despotic and corrupt king that he should not willingly take the crown being offered to him. The old Draco would have jumped at this opportunity. By the gods, he would have conquered the kingdom and stolen the crown to make a statement. On the contrary to this old Draco, however, the new one put his fate as a king into Gabrielle’s hands. He told her he would not accept the crown without her blessing, and he meant it. It was then that Gabrielle told him, “Do what you feel is best for these people.”The coronation was a joyous celebration, full of the most elegant golden decorations, cultural diversity between all ten villages, and Gabrielle witnessed it all with excitement. Virgil recorded as much as he could in his scrolls, and Gabrielle respected him all the more for it. Virgil was not speaking to Gabrielle much – not after their conversation before the coronation of King Draco.“You were his concubine!” said an angry Virgil.“I was nothing of the sort!” retorted Gabrielle.“Then what was it? Do you find him attractive?”“Virgil, stop being a meat-head, it’s not in your character.”“No, it’s in my character to love you, Gabrielle! I love you!”Gabrielle stopped – her heart was pounding. She did not know whether it was because she found Virgil just as attractive as the day she first met him, or if she was betraying Draco.“You’re young, Virgil… and…”“Do not patronize me, Gabrielle!” yelled Virgil. “Just tell me if you love that man… that… king!”Gabrielle could not answer. After struggling, she finally uttered, “I don’t know.”“’I don’t know’ isn’t good enough,” said Virgil, fuming, leaving her alone with her confusion. And now she walked alone, lost in her thoughts. She knew that Virgil and her would never be. He was too immature for her, despite the looks that they were about the same age. She had lived a lot longer than he had, and his youthfulness always showed to her. It was sweet, it was innocent – but it was not something she could take seriously. With Draco, it was different. She not only felt good with him – she felt bad, excited, as if betraying her good conscious by giving herself to this dark former warlord pushed the envelope of life that she had only known when she was as youthful and innocent as Virgil was now.And then there was the other issue: how to respond to people asking if she was to become their queen. Queen? Queen Gabrielle?! No, definitely not. Just the thought of being dressed by other people, fed by other people, living in a castle for the rest of your life, with even more expectations to bear children who would be expected to lead the people later – it was too much for her, not to mention marriage in general. She had married once, when she was just as young and foolish as Virgil. She knew she was not the marrying kind, not after all she had been through in her life. It just wasn’t her thing.“I want you to marry me,” said Draco. “I want you to be my Queen, my wife. I want you to be the mother of my children.”
Gabrielle knew this was bound to happen. She had packed her bags and announced her departure from Minos and the New Kingdom in three days from then. To where – she didn’t know. But that was how she operated. That’s how it was when she was with Xena, and that’s how it would continue. She looked at him, now dressed in the robes of a king, with his long black hair twisted into a large braid, hanging down his back. On his head was a golden crown. He was a king. He was not her type anymore.“Draco – you know I can’t.”“Is it because of that child? That… Virgil?”“No. It’s not Virgil.”“I’ve done my best to not be jealous. But you know I love you. I love you more than this crown on my head. I love you more than staying here. I would leave with you… but I know if I did that, I would be betraying the trust of the people I swore I would lead.”His words were sincere. Gabrielle rested easy now – she knew he was not corrupted, at least not yet.“I’m so proud of you, Draco,” she uttered. “Truly – I am.”He smiled, then left the room. Gabrielle sat on the bed, and a tear fell down her cheek.Gabrielle walked alone along the ramparts of the city of Minos. She continued thinking to herself. However, not until this moment did she finally think about her life without Draco. Her immediate thought was still, “Oh come on, it’s Draco!” That was always her default thought every time she caught herself taking life with Draco seriously. “He’s Draco, for the sake of the gods! Move on!”
Gabrielle vomited onto the grass, feeling uneasy. She left the area and continued her walk. Unexpectedly, she ran into Virgil, who was sitting atop a large rock, writing in his scrolls.“Virgil,” she said, surprised.Virgil looked up and grinned. “Gabrielle!” He jumped from the rock and approached her. “I heard you were leaving.”“Tomorrow, yes.” “I heard you were going wherever the roads lead?”“That’s the plan,” she said.“I plan on going the same route,” he told her.“Virgil, look – I love you too…”Virgil’s face lit up, eyes widening.“… but not the way you want me too,” she finished. She watched as Virgil sank down from his excitement. “In a way,” she continued. “… not the way Draco loves me.”Virgil was heartbroken, but he did a good job maintaining composure. “I asked you this before, and you said you didn’t know. Do you love Draco?”Gabrielle immediately went back to her thoughts about life without Draco. She remembered about how she connected with him – how he was that missing link that she needed – he being the one connection from her past life. Perhaps it wasn’t carnal desire completely. Perhaps he truly was something she actually needed. And if that was the case…“I don’t know if I can say I love him, Virgil… but I do know… he needs me… and I might even need him.”Virgil nodded. He was let down, but he knew he could do nothing to change her mind. “You should do what your heart tells you,” said Virgil. And with that, Virgil left.It had been seven days since Gabrielle left, or had said she would leave, and King Draco was busy reviewing maps of his new kingdom. With the help of his new advisors, he was planning on fortifying the battlements of the kingdom in the event more invading armies dared to invade. At this point, the lonely king sat at his desk, reviewing a map, when a steward entered the room.
“Your majesty,” said the steward. “You have a visitor.”“Didn’t I say no visitors?” replied Draco, irritated.“You did, sire, but I felt you might make an exception for this one.” The steward smiled, and Draco immediately knew who it was. “Shall I send her in?” asked the steward.Draco nodded, confused.Gabrielle was led to Draco by two other stewards.“Leave us,” Draco told the stewards. After they had all gone, and that the two of them were now alone…“Gabrielle.”“So… this is life as a king?”“You didn’t leave?”“Well, I took a quick trip to Potaedaeia… but I’m back.”“Why?”Gabrielle took a deep breath, thought through her head, through all the thoughts she had been obsessing over for the past week.“Draco, I don’t want to go on without you.”Draco slowly inched toward her, the same look of wicked lust and reverent love still in his black eyes as they poured over Gabrielle’s icy eyes. “Do you mean that?” he asked.Gabrielle found it hard to resist yet still – that look of Draco’s that cast a spell on her, forcing her to surrender all her rationale and give in to her carnal pleasures. “I do,” she replied.“And you will… stay with me?”She nodded, slowly.“As….”“As whatever you want me to be, Draco,” she said. The wedding of King Draco and his bride, Queen Gabrielle, was even more festive than his coronation. People from all over the ten cities came to witness the birth of a new era. They all watched and eagerly waited at the bottom of the castle. And then – the moment happened. At the top of the highest tower, overlooking the crowds, Draco and Gabrielle walked, hands held, to the edge of the balcony overseeing the people. Gabrielle was adorned in the most beautiful gown – white with golden fleece and lining. Her golden hair, now long and tied with two braids, matched her groom’s in that now she was wearing a crown. Behind them, their wedding priest and his assistants followed, coming into view for all to see – they were the wedding party.
After a few ritual speeches were given, the priest finally got to what the people were all waiting for.“By the power of the Gods, and the will of the people of the Kingdom of New Greece, I now declare Draco, our King, and Gabrielle of Potaedeaia, husband and wife!”The people erupted in cheers, as Draco took Gabrielle in a passionate kiss. The wedding night was different than any other night Gabrielle had given herself to Draco. It was different because not only was she his wife now, and a Queen, but she was expected to conceive Draco’s child – an heir to their new throne.
Gabrielle was still in her wedding gown, but Draco was already out of his robes. He watched Gabrielle with the most predatory gaze, and she couldn’t help but feel nervous. This wasn’t just going to be sex with her lover, this was going to be the consummation of an actual marriage, and more!Gabrielle found herself walking backwards toward their marriage bed, a large satin bed with an overhang made of gold, with silk drapes hanging, surrounding the bed. Gabrielle slowly removed her wedding gown from her white shoulders, letting it drop to the floor, exposing her naked body to her new master. Draco undid his pants, allowing his very erect manhood to stand tall. It was pointing at its target with intensity, and Gabrielle, its target, knew what it was about to do.She laid down on the satin bed, legs spread, staring deeply into her husband’s dark eyes. Draco gently climbed on top of his bride, held her hands tight, and consumed her mouth in his. The two mixed tongues for several minutes, tasting each others’ fluids with serious passion, while the two white legs caressed the large brown ones that lay between them.Draco felt Gabrielle’s body all over, her breasts, her arms, her stomach, her legs, her behind. As he squeezed her behind, she gasped – not only because of the pleasure she felt from it, but also from the pleasure of his penis as it simultaneously penetrated her.The hour was rife with heat, as Gabrielle held tight to her husband’s dark back, kissing his neck and tasting his black skin as he moved in and out of his prize. The sweat poured off of the sides of Gabrielle’s breasts and stomach from the sweaty movement of Draco’s belly against hers. Both lovers were moaning throughout the hour. Gabrielle’s feet shook as the beginning of the most intense orgasm began to take hold. Draco quickly locked eyes with his queen, and she her king, and he whispered with fury, “Are you ready?! Are you ready?!”She stared straight into his eyes, felt the power that consumed them both, and said, “Yes! Yes!”Draco mashed his mouth into Gabrielle’s, penetrated her mouth with his tongue just as he was viciously doing the same to her womanhood, thrusting with violent power. She felt his penis erupt harder than she had ever remembered, his cum shooting like an arrow into her womb, coating her inside walls, blasting through to meet its target. With powerful force, Draco squeezed Gabrielle’s body into his, as she held her legs up high to allow Draco more access, holding his body between her legs just as tight, feeling his seed move farther through her than it ever has.It was finished. It was consummated. It was over, yet it was just beginning. Her life, her future, her dynasty. It was beginning…While AFF and its agents attempt to remove all illegal works from the site as quickly and thoroughly as possible, there is always the possibility that some submissions may be overlooked or dismissed in error.
