The day had come.
Fox's analysis decreed that the fleet set sail without further delay.
Adama made personally sure that everyone dispatched to Terra had returned to the fleet.
there had been some fear that technicians might be held against their wills.
But there hadn't been any of that. The Alliances had discipline if nothing else.
As he looked out over their expanding fleet he hoped it would be enough.
Ninety scorpions had been transfered. Several hundred Terran combat vessels had been modified with many left to go.
Two Terran transports looked solid enough toi risk sailing with the fleet.
Each one carried 300 Terrans from both alliances.
The maintenance chief said he thought they could go the distance.
The rest of their reserve and civilian vessels had been sent to paradine.
As the Terrans skill and sterength grew so did the number of voices calling for the fleet to stay,
It was too late, of course. And Adama hadnt shepherded them this far to risk them on a coin flip.
"last shuttle in ten minutes." announced colonel tighe.
"The Pulsar Team."
'Correct , sir. They say it's ready."
'I's like to have seen it tested."Adama said,
"I understand we will."Said the Colonel. It's to be test fired against an asteroid within the hour."
The Puslar was something out of the past.
They had faced one buiult by renegade scientist Ravashal.
But such large scale fixed weapons had been retired centuires before.
It was hoped that the Terrans could pick off a base ship or two with it.
