From the judge’s chair, Zack smirked at Kalan. "How about you and me, we get out of here. We’ll go and make you rich and famous in a hurry."
Kalan pondered this for a moment. He looked at the other judges. He looked at the crowd. He looked at his parents. He looked back at Zack, and grinned.
"Okay." He agreed, as he climbed off the stage and dropped to the floor. "I’m not above selling myself for some money."
Mouths agape, everyone in the theatre and Canada could only watch as their Canadian Idol walked off arm-in-arm with Zack.
