The phone rang � Hello� , Lana heard a familiar voice on the other end .

� Clark�

He cleared his throat .

� Lana I have to talk to you about something very important�.

She noticed he had a briefcase.

He walked over to the couch ,and sit down .

� I don�t know how , but some how she escaped�.

� I found her in the loft sleeping on the couch last Saturday morning�,

� Clark Dr. Holbrook told me that I had a malignant tumor on one of my fallopian tubes .

� I had laser surgery to cover the scar�.

� Clark I went through a lot of mental stress�.
A tear was starting to form in the corner of her eyes�.

� Lana I know your upset�.

She stood up.

� Clark upset is just the tip of the iceberg� .

� He thought someday she�d have my powers, but so far she is just a sweet little girl, although she was infected with green meteor rock when she was born�.

� Clark you know how dangerous meteor rock can be�.

� Lana it was used to save her life�.

� She has developed a immunity to it� .

� She told me it was given to her when she got sick to make her better�.

� Lana there is something else the cellular structure if her brain was effected making her very intelligent�.

Lana looked at a picture of Vesta .

� Clark this is so much for me to take in� .

� You know how hectic my life is with the school�.

� Lana I understand I feel the same way working at the planet�.

�Lana the students are very lucky you invested some money into starting that school for meteor effected children�.

� Clark I want to meet her�.

He got up.

�Lana are you sure�?

� I don�t want to rush you�.

� Clark I want to meet her as soon as possible�.

He smiled.

� I�ll bring her here tonight to meet you�.

� How does six o�clock sound?�

� Its sound fine to me�.
