The morning came all too soon for Hannibal's liking. The sun pouring through his window was an unwelcome interruption to an other wise peaceful sleep. He opened his eyes and glanced around his room through the hazy film in his eyes. Juliette was gone. The side of the bed where she had been was still held evidence of her body. Hannibal laid on his stomach and buried his face in the sheets, taking in the scent of her. It was a molten spicy sweet. Like honey, cinnamon and blood. He felt a longing to touch her pang within him. For so long now people had been just a means to an end. His ability to feel anything for another person was long since passed. Hannibal forced himself out of bed and made his way to his massive closet. He pulled one of his best suits from the plethora. He dressed and groomed himself. The day had just begun and he had clients to see. Just as he was about to leave his room his phone buzzed on the nightstand.
"So sorry I had to leave this morning. Rehearsal and clients to see. Dinner tonight? My place this time? 8?"
Hannibal smirked as he read the text.
"How could I refuse."
