Five years later
The night before their world changed forever, it was a typical night for the Grimes family. Eight year old Carl, four year old Judith, and Rick and Lori.
Lori was back at work as a preschool teacher, taking time off to raise Judith as a stay at home mom. After school let out, Lori would stop by Judith's classroom to get her, and walk down the hallway where eighth grader Carl was waiting for them. She would drive them home, and let Carl take a break for an hour before starting homework. She would start dinner, and Rick usually got home around 5:30. Rick was promoted to Captain, and in addition to the extra money, it brought more stable hours; Monday to Friday, typically nine to five. Rick got home a little early, and gave the "shhh" signal to Carl. He planned on surprising Lori with a dozen pink flowers, her favorite. Before he got to the kitchen Judith ran over and yelled "hi daddy!" Lori turned around, and was surprised and happy to see her husband. He said he tried to surprise her. They kissed, which made Carl squirm. Even though Rick had "the talk" with him, Carl would always get embarrassed when his parents were affectionate.
It was raining that evening, so rather than help Carl with his baseball swing, the four spent the evening together. No TV, computers, tablets, or IPhones. Just the four, talking about their day. It was getting late, so Lori gave Judith a bath, and put her in her favorite My Little Pony pajamas. Judith gave a goodnight kiss to Rick, and tried to give one to Carl, who settled for a fist bump. Around 8:30 it was Carl's turn to take a shower and get to bed, which he did without complaint.
When they were alone on the couch Lori asked Rick how everything was at work. He said okay, but there was a bad domestic violence call he had to go to. The husband beat his wife half to death in front of their kids. He put his arm around her, and said those are the cases he hates. The best part of his day is coming home, and knowing everyone is safe. They kissed deeply, and heard Carl in his room upstairs. "I love you so much, baby." he told her
"I love you more." They kissed again, and Rick reached down to lift up her legs and rest them on his lap. He started giving her a foot massage, and then moved up to her toned thighs. Lori went upstairs and gave Carl his tablet, saying "lights out in twenty minutes, baby." She gave him a kiss on the forehead, and shut his door. She checked on Judith, who was sound asleep. She went to their bathroom, brushed her teeth, and cleaned herself up for Rick. She took off her clothes, and slipped into bed. Rick waited until he could get up and walk. He made sure the windows and doors were shut and locked, activated the security system, and went upstairs. He went into their bedroom, and shut their door.
She pulled back the sheets, showing she was naked and ready for him. He undressed as fast as he could, slid into bed, and kissed her deeply. He moved down to kissing her breasts, then stomach, and then put both her legs over his shoulders, and put his mouth on her mound. He made his tongue do all the work, and loved how she was grabbing the sheets, trying not to scream. She was rubbing his cock, so he lay down on his back with her crotch in his face and she took him in her mouth.
