Archie walked into Pop's and greeted the owner, "Hi, Mr. Tate." He went to his usual table where Jughead and Betty were sitting and greeted him.
"Morning, Archie," Betty said when he sat down. "Hey," he replied with a smile as he ordered.
Archie looked at them, "So what do you guys need to talk about?" He asked, putting his phone on the table. "We want to tell you what was going on at Betty's," Jughead said.
"Is everything okay?" Archie asked, looking worried. "It is now," Betty said with a sigh, explaining everything about Chic and what happened afterward.
Archie listened and nodded. "At least he's gone for good. How is everything else?" He asked, nodding at Mr. Tate when he set down his breakfast.
"Everything is okay now, and hopefully it stays that way," Jughead said, taking a bite of his pancake. Archie nodded, "I agree." He took a bite of his food as well.
Betty nodded, sipping her coffee. "How are you and Veronica doing?" she asked. "We haven't been hanging out much lately because of everything that's been happening."
"We're doing good," Archie said with a smile, checking his phone for a text from Veronica. He frowned when he didn't see one.
Archie set his phone down. "She should text me back soon," he said, wondering if she was busy this morning. "Maybe she's still asleep," Betty suggested. "She's at Cheryl's, and they might have stayed up all night."
"I guess you're right," Archie said, pushing away the feeling he was getting. He talked to Betty and Jughead about old times.
( Veronica, Josie, Nick & Cheryl)
Veronica was trying to get her hands out of the handcuffs. She figured that once she got free, she could help Josie and Cheryl, and they could all escape.
"Don't hurt yourself, Veronica," Josie said quietly, watching as the raven-haired girl twisted her wrists, causing her to wince. "I have to try," Veronica replied, moving her hands side to side, attempting to free them from the handcuffs.
Veronica bit her lip as the cuffs dug into her wrists. She stopped when she heard the door open. Looking towards the door, she saw Nick walking in the room. He carried a tray with what looked like Jingle Jangle on it, along with a cup of wine that seemed to have something in it.
"Hello ladies," Nick said as he walked over to Veronica, setting the tray down on the table before sitting on the bed. "It's time for your dose, Ronnie!" he said, picking up a straw filled with Jingle Jangle.
Veronica glared at Nick and turned her head away as he brought the drug to her lips. "Come on, open up," Nick said, gripping her chin and forcing her face toward him.
"You bastard! Don't you dare give her that!" Cheryl demanded, watching Veronica struggle against Nick. He was trying to force two straws of the drug down her throat.
Nick laughed and tilted Veronica's head back. "She doesn't have a choice!" He said, then dumped the drug down her throat, making her swallow it. "She knows that if she doesn't cooperate, you and Josie will get hurt!" Nick said, looking at Cheryl.
Cheryl's eyes widened at his words as Josie whimpered in fear. "You won't get away with this!" Cheryl snarled, watching Nick release Veronica's chin. Her friend's head fell back against the pillow, and she gasped for breath.
Veronica swallowed and licked her lips. Her mind started to feel fuzzy from the noise. She watched Nick reach for the glass and put it to her lips. "Drink, and I'll have my men bring food for Josie and Cheryl," he said.
The raven-haired teen did as she was told, wincing as the liquid went down her burning throat. "Good girl," Nick said, leaning forward and pressing his lips against hers. "I'll be back to give you some more," he said, tapping Veronica's cheek.
Veronica forced down the lump in her throat. Her body slowly started to feel numb. "Vee," she heard Cheryl call. She turned to look at the redhead.
"We'll get out of here, and St. Clair will pay," Cheryl promised. Veronica gave a small nod. Closing her eyes, she knew it was morning because of the light from the window.
( Archie, Betty & Jughead, Toni & Sweet Pea)
Archie finished his breakfast and watched people entering and leaving Pop's. He watched Jughead wave at two people.
"Morning, Sweet Pea, Toni," Jughead greeted, causing them to walk over to their table.
"Hey," Toni said, sitting beside Archie since there was an empty spot. "How is everyone?"
Archie smiled at her. "It's alright, you?" He nodded hello to Sweet Pea.
"I'm doing alright," Toni said, taking a sip of her milkshake.
"Are you meeting with Cheryl here?" Betty asked, wondering if Toni was waiting for her. "She should be here with Veronica and Josie."
Toni nodded. "Yes, I'm going to the sleepover tonight, so we're meeting here. What about you?" she asked Betty. "Are you going?"
Archie listened, hearing that Cheryl was supposed to be meeting Toni. "I might now that I'm done," Betty said, glancing at Archie, who looked thoughtful.
"What time is Cheryl supposed to meet you?" Archie asked, wondering if Veronica would come with Cheryl, since it made sense.
Toni looked at him, "She said she'd meet me here a few minutes ago. I told her I would be a little late," she said, tilting her head. "Did something happen?" She asked, worried about her girlfriend.
"I don't know. Veronica should be here too, as well as Cheryl," Archie said, wondering if something had happened. "Cheryl is never late, and neither is Ronnie."
Toni nodded, letting his words sink in. "I agree. Maybe we should call them and see where they are." She said, pushing down the worry rising in her stomach.
Archie nodded and picked up his phone to call Veronica. Toni got hers to call Cheryl. Archie, with the phone on speaker, pressed Veronica's number and bit his lip.
"Come on, answer, Veronica!" He tapped the table as the phone rang. Betty and Jughead leaned forward. The call went to voicemail, which shocked everyone.
Archie called a few more times, but each time it went to voicemail. "Something is wrong," he said, turning to Toni. "Anything?" he asked, hoping she'd reached Cheryl. "Voicemail as well," Toni said with a frown.
Josie's phone is going to voicemail too. Betty said this as she put her phone down after trying to call Josie. "Let's go to Cheryl's house and see if they're okay," Jughead suggested, getting up.
Archie nodded and got up from the booth, following the others. "Let's hope we figure this out before Hiram finds out what's going on," he said, not wanting to deal with a very angry Hiram if his daughter was missing.
"Yes, I don't want to deal with an angry Lodge," Jughead agreed. Archie got in the truck with Betty and Jughead. Sweet Pea and Toni got in the back of the truck since they were going to the same place. It was easier and faster that way.
