Phoebe
A week had passed ,and finally the van was located with to Clark surprise the cargo still in tact .
It was a sunny afternoon, he , and Vesta was napping out on the napping on the couch.
Her little head was laying just below his neck .
He could feel her breathing.
Shelby , and Acheron were out on the front porch when a car pulled into the drive.
They started to bark , waking Clark out of his slumber .
He laid Vesta back down on the couch, going to the door to see what the dogs were barking at.
He saw there was a young woman in her mid thirties getting out of a nice looking blue car .
She had a briefcase in her hand .
“ Hello Mr. Kent. You don’t know me , but my name is Phoebe Shaffer”.
“ I took care of Vesta when she lived at Lex Corp” .
“ Come in”.
She saw Vesta sleeping on the couch, “ Oh she looks like a little angel .
She moved closer to the couch , but Clark moved in front of her.
“ Mr. Kent I don’t blame you I would not want some stranger touching my baby neither.
They sat down at the table , and she open the briefcase , taking out photos of Vesta these pictures where taking when she was a baby on up to the day before she escape that horrid place”.
“ I read about your reunion in the Dailey Planet, but I’ve been over Seas for a few months”.
“ Mr. Kent I can honestly tell you I did not know about the endless testing they were doing on her , until the night I woke up, and she was standing by my bedside holding my hand”.
“ She was giving me all the mental , and physical memories she had”.
“ Mr. Kent there is also video of her on these disk”.
Clark took the disk.
“ I really appreciate you bringing me this”.
“ Mr. Kent I know there are milestones in her life you missed.
“ I hope you , enjoying watching them” .
“ I got attracted to her ,she is a very special little girl”.
Vesta started rubbing her eyes.
“Daddy”. She sat up , and notices Phoebe .
“ Phoebe”! .
“ Hey there, I was hoping you’d wake up before I had to leave there someone out in the front seat”.
Vesta ran toward the front door.
A minute later she came back in with a stuff brown monkey in her arms.
“ Daddy look”.
She got up in his lap.
“ I got him when I was a baby”.
“Thank you Phoebe”.
“ Your welcome Vesta".
“ Mr. Kent if you don’t care I’d like to come visit Vesta again some day”.
“ I don’t care just call before you come , so we’ll be here, my schedule is really hectic these days”.
“ I understand , I have to be going maybe next time you won't be taking a nap”.
“ My nap time is between 12:30 ,and 1:30”.
After Phoebe left Clark loaded the disk into his laptop , and sat down with Vesta to watch.
“ Daddy that one was taken when I first started walking”.
“ I was 7 months old”.
They sat there for an hour just looking at all the video , and pictures.
“ Daddy I’m glad Phoebe brought these to you”.
“ Now you’ll have to make copies for mommy”.
“ Yeah I know”.
He said smiling.
