Hit and Run
Clark , and Vesta were still looking at the disk ,when Vesta saw building in the back ground of one of the pictures was warehouse on the docks .
“ Daddy I was at that building the night it blew up”.
He looked closer at the picture.
It was the building the Justice League blew up.
“ Daddy I’m glad that place was blow up, cause Dr Holbrook took me there for some test”.
He lifted Vesta in his arms. There was a moment of silences
“ Daddy are you okay”?
“Yes sweetheart I’m okay I was lost in thought”.
“ You need to get off cloud nine, and come back down to earth”.
“ Life is too precious to hold on a grudge for something that happen in the past”.
“ How you’d get so wise”?
She looked up at him.
“ Daddy I take after you”.
He gave her a kissed on the top of her head.
“ I love you baby”.
“ Daddy I love you too”.
Martha came inside carrying a sack of groceries.
“ Nana did you get me a box of chocolate crème pies?”
“ No , because you’d be bouncing off the walls”
“ Nana I was really desiderating for them”.
Nana reach in the bag and pulled out a bag of Vesta favorite candy.
“ I got you a bag of candy meteor rocks”.
“ Thanks Vesta saId reaching for the bag , but Clark got it before she did.
“ Vesta you can only have a a couple of pieces”.
“ I don’t want you getting overloaded on them ,before supper”.
He handed her a blue , and red one .
A second later the phone rang”.
“ Clark”.
“ Lois” .
“ Chloe been in a accident out on Millers Bluff”.
“ Okay Lois I’M coming”
“ Clark what is it?”
“ Mom I have to get to Chloe”.
“She been in a car accident”.
He sped out the door.
When he got to the scene there was an ambulance, Lois spotted him.
“ Clark, Chloe is unresponsive”.
He quickly pushed his way through the crowd of people, to the ambulance.
“ Sir are you family?”
“ Yes he family, he her finance”, Lois said in an overbearing way”.
“ Okay then”, said the officer .
Clark , and Lois step up into the ambulance”.
Chloe just looked like she was sleeping. Clark X-rayed Chloe.
“ Clark I’m going to take my car to the hospital, so you can ride with her”.
On the way there He could hear the guys in front talking.
“ Man if she survives a crash like that it will be a miracle.” “ Yeah she one tough girl if she does”.
The impact to her head was astronomical”
“ It’s a shame the other person drove off leaving her to die”.
