AN: Here’s chapter 7! Six years have passed since the Countdown to
Destruction. Enjoy and please review! And sorry for the long delay in
getting this chapter up. Life can really get in the way sometimes.

Chapter 7
Billy’s POV
It has been six years since Zordon’s death. Much has changed and we’ve
all moved on with our lives. Nearly a year after Kat and I had been
together, I asked her to marry me on Valentines Day. She accepted and
we decided we would marry on Valentines Day the following year. We’ve
been married for almost four years now and I never imagined I could be
this happy. Katherine finished getting her degree three years ago and was
offered a teaching position at Angel Grove High after she had been a
student teacher for Ms. Appleby’s English classes. With Ms. Appleby’s
decision to retire, Kat was offered the position and accepted. I have
finished my doctorate in engineering and physics, as well as Astro Physics
and Chemistry. I had surprised even myself at how fast I moved through
school. I began my own business building computers, equipment, and
software, as well as various appliances. Already WolfTech is very
successful and I have only been in business two years. Right now, I am on
my way home from work after picking up a bottle of champaign. Kat and I
plan to have a romantic evening. We have been trying to get pregnant for
almost a year now and we are both eager to start a family. Katherine is
starting to worry that there is something wrong since we have been trying
for a while, but I’m not ready to give up quite yet. We manage to keep in
touch with most everyone. Tommy, believe it or not, was a ranger again for
a short time. This time, technicolor Tommy as we have dubbed him, wore
black. He and his students just defeated a foe known as Mesagog and the
powers were lost again. After my business began to soar, Kat and I bought
a three bedroom ranch style home in the Angel Hills neighborhood, which
was very close to Angel Cove. I pulled into the garage and entered the
house.
Kat’s POV
I heard Billy come in and hurried to meet him at the door. Even after four
years of marriage, we are still like teenagers.
“Hi sweetie,” I said, as I kissed him.
“Hey babe,” he replied.
“Dinner’s almost ready and then I’ll slip upstairs and into something more
comfortable,” I said, sauntering into the kitchen. Desire flashed in his eyes,
as he followed me into the kitchen. After dinner and an intense make out
session on the couch, we made our way to the bedroom. I giggled as he
picked me up and let the bed catch us. We spent the rest of the night
making love before falling into a deep sleep.

Zedd’s POV
It has been six years since my subordinates and I were turned human. I
played the sheep as Zordon expected and we blended into society. Goldar
and Rito changed their names for the humans now going by Gavin and
Ryan, though Rita and I still refer to them as Rito and Goldar often. To the
public I am known as Charles Xett and I entered politics three years ago.
Only the former rangers know who I really am and I know that Will, as he
goes by now, keeps tabs on my activities from WolfTech. No matter, he will
never see what I have coming for him. Two years ago I was elected mayor
of Angel Grove. I have done a lot of good for this little town I hate and the
people love me. When I learned of the Silver Guardians that policed Silver
Hills, I saw a golden opportunity. I implicated the Angel Guardians,
appointing my two most loyal henchmen to lead them. My stronghold on
this town increases daily and the time to begin implementing my revenge is
growing very near...

Will’s POV
I swiped my security card that admitted me into the complex. I entered my
executive size office after saying good morning to my secretary. About that
time, Adam walked in, as we had a meeting with some potential clients this
morning.
“Hey Ad, can you do me a favor and pour me a cup of coffee?” I asked in a
rush as I shuffled through files and papers. Adam smirked. Here comes the
banter.
“You must have woke up late if you haven’t even had a cup of coffee yet.
Wild night?” he teased. I could feel my cheeks flush as I shot him a mock
warning glance. He chuckled, as I took a sip of coffee and cringed.
“This is a pretty weak brew,” I complained.
“I don’t make it strong enough to wake the dead. Make your own damn
coffee,” Adam teased. I rolled my eyes and did just that.

Kat’s POV
“And that was I Alone by Live here on NOVA 105.5. This is Tanya bringing
you the best hits of the 80’s, 90’s and beyond…”
I smiled, as I drove to work listening to Tanya’s morning show. When they
offered her the position, she jumped at the chance and soon became
Angel Grove’s radio diva. I walked into my classroom, glad that I still had
40 minutes before first period. I smirked, thinking back to last night and
how it left no time to grade papers. I sat down at my desk and began to
grade the final four term papers that I hadn’t yet graded.

Will’s POV
I pressed my thumb onto the screen and waited while the computer
scanned my print and allowed me access to the roof. Only Adam and I had
access to my roof top observatory. I’ve always had a love for space and
that’s why I included this into the design of the Wolf Tech complex. I
proceeded to wipe the lens on my high powered telescope that I had built
myself after Andros provided me with some high powered lenses from K0-35. I looked through and focused, looking around for anything as I usually
do from time to time. The first thing I always look at is the moon of course.
I’ve never thought of myself as a paranoid person, but after being a ranger,
it’s hard not to be. I know that Zedd has supposedly been cleansed, but I
know that I will never fully trust him. His move in to politics definitely didn’t
help my opinion of him. Politics were a great place for someone as corrupt
as Zedd and I don’t trust our mayor as far as I can throw him. As I idly
moved away from the moon, I saw an astonishing sight. I did a double take
and hurried to my computer. What I had just seen was a comet and I
needed to determine which one it was. I couldn’t remember being due for
one any time soon. I tapped into the communication system, contacting
Andros on the MegaShip. He, Ashley, Karone, and Zhane were on their
way back from Triforia.
“Hey Will, what’s up?” Andros answered over my visual screen.
“Hey Andros, I need you to scan for a comet that I just spotted and let me
know if you can give me coordinates or a trajectory,” I said.
“Sure,” he replied. I waited for about ten minutes, before he was able to
give me the coordinates. I punched in the coordinates to my computer and
fear crept in me as the results came back.
“Hey Will, are you okay? You look like you’ve seen a ghost,” Andros
replied.
“It’s Ryan’s comet,” I answered.
“Yeah, it passes by earth about every ten years. The last time it was seen
was…”
“1995,” I finished. Andros gave me a blank stare and I went on to explain.
“In 1995, the other rangers and I faced a being named Ivan Ooze. He was
more powerful than any being we’ve ever faced and quite possibly more
powerful than any villain any team has ever faced. Even a being like Dark
Spector would have bowed to his power. Anyway, in the end, we defeated
him when he collided with Ryan’s Comet and both he and the comet
exploded. Or so we thought…” I explained. Suddenly, Adam entered
leading Katherine. It was the end of the day already and I had completely
lost track of time.
“Hey sweetie,” she said, as she kissed me, but then noticed my worried
expression.
“Baby, what’s wrong?” she asked.
“I’m not quite sure yet,” I replied, knowing it was a dumb answer.
“You look like you’ve seen a ghost,” Adam replied.
“I may have, look through the telescope,” I said. Adam did so and looked
back at me.
“I don’t remember any comets scheduled to pass by the earth this year,”
Adam replied.
“It’s Ryan’s Comet,” I stated. Adam looked at me like I had just sprouted
horns.
“That’s impossible,” he replied.
“Andros has confirmed it,” I replied.
“What’s Ryan’s Comet?” Kat asked.
“Remember the story of our battle with Ivan Ooze that I told you about?” I
asked. She nodded.
“Ryan’s Comet was supposedly the comet that exploded and destroyed
him when they collided. It should have been destroyed too,” I replied.
“What does that mean?” she asked.
“I’m not sure,” I replied.
“You really don’t think he’s alive, do you?” Adam asked timidly.
“I pray to God that he’s not. But just to be safe, Andros is monitoring it
around the clock. I’m going to call Tommy and see if he can come to town
tomorrow to take a look at it,” I replied.
“If he is alive, there’s only a few ranger teams left to deal with him,” Adam
said.
I held Kat close, as she clung to me.
“Currently, the Space Rangers and the Lightspeed Rangers are the only
ones on or near earth. All other teams besides the galaxy rangers don’t
have powers anymore, except Wes and Eric in Silver Hills,” I replied.
“Let’s just hope we’re wrong and he’s not alive,” Adam replied, though he
didn’t have much confidence in that statement.

Aisha DeSantos locked up her clinic and walked to her car. She had
always been happy working with animals, but in Africa, she had become
homesick for Angel Grove. The plague had been cured in July 1999 and
she headed for home. Upon her arrival in Angel Grove, the man she was
finally going to tell she loved, was waiting for her. She and Rocky had
married in March 2000 and their daughter Alyssa was born in 2003. It was
a nice afternoon, so she got Alyssa’s stroller out of the car and decided to
walk to the daycare to get her. She noticed how deserted the park was and
thought it was rather odd for such a nice day. Suddenly, she noticed two
men with ski masks behind her. She kept slowly walking, but ready to
defend herself. There was a very evil air about these two that she hadn’t
felt since…she was ranger. As expected, they advanced on her and she
fell into fighting stance.
“I don’t know who you creeps are, but you better stay away from me,” she
spat. They laughed and grabbed her arms. She fought and screamed, but
was silenced as a gag was shoved in her mouth by one. The other
punched her in the stomach and tied her hands and feet. The biggest one
threw her over his shoulder and they both disappeared…leaving only the
stroller behind…
