Daryl awoke first at the sound of Dale’s voice outside of his tent. He grumbled, “Just a second” and pushed at Abby’s shoulder to rouse her.
Realizing that Dale was near, Abby dressed quickly while Daryl just threw on his jeans and boots. “What is it?” Daryl queried, throwing open the tent flap. “Rick and Shane are back… and they returned with the kid” Dale replied. “They did what?” Abby queried, sticking her head out of the tent. Dale hadn’t known that Daryl had company: he blushed. “Oh… hi, Abby…” “I fucking knew it” Daryl swore, getting out of the tent. “They brought that little shit back here” “We’re having a meeting about what to do” Dale informed. “You should be at it: both of you” “All right” Daryl answered hotly. “We’ll be there in a few…” Dale nodded in agreement and walked off. Abby found Daryl’s shirt in the tent and handed it to him as she got out. “Can’t believe this shit” he murmured, taking the clothing from her. “I need to piss” Well, it wasn’t very romantic of him to say, but at least it was honest. “I have to go, too” she confirmed as he put on his shirt. Daryl picked up his crossbow as Abby fastened her gun belt around her waist. “Well, come on, girl, let’s find a bush… they’re waiting on us…” Down by the main camp, they were indeed waiting, Maggie included. “What’s going on?” Daryl asked for both himself and Abby. “We had to bring him back” Rick explained. “He said that he went to school with Maggie and Abby… that means that he knows where the farm is. He’s a threat” “Now wait just a minute” Dale broke in, “We don’t know anything about this kid. We don’t know if he’s a threat” “Says his name is Randall” Shane supplied. “Either of you know him?” Both Maggie and Abby shook their heads: Abby nervously grabbed on to Daryl’s right arm. She knew what Rick meant when he said that Randall was a threat… she couldn’t quite get her head around the idea of killing another human being. “We need to find out about his group” Rick stated, placing his hand on his hips. “Well, he’s not just gonna tell us, Rick” Shane replied. “I’ll go ask him” Daryl piped up. “What?” Rick asked. “Just give me ten minutes” Daryl requested. “I’ll find out what we need to know” Abby couldn’t believe her ears… “Daryl…” she breathed. “I know what I’m doing, girl” he whispered back. “Okay” Rick agreed. “Ten minutes. He’s in the barn where the walkers were, chained up” Daryl nodded and headed off. “Wait” Dale tried, “What are you going to do?” He turned to Abby. “What is he going to do?” Abby shook her head and remained silent… XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX The first punch felt good, real good. He clocked Randall square in the face. Blood flowed freely from Randall’s nose… “You shot at my boys!” Daryl raged. “I didn’t mean to” Randall responded. “You telling me you’re innocent?!” Daryl punched him again when he didn’t answer, and again, and again… yeah, this felt good. His knuckles were sore from the vicious punches, but he knew damn well that he HAD to get answers out of this kid. “Tell me about your people!” “What do you want to know?!” Randall cried, trying to avoid another hit. “How many?!” When he didn’t answer immediately this time, Daryl took out his knife and pulled at the injured kids’ pant leg, exposing the wound that Hershel and Abby had so carefully mended the day before. “You know what they say about scabs, don’t you? You can pick at it for a while, but eventually you have to tear it off!” Randall howled in pain as Daryl slipped the tip of his knife into the wound. “Okay, okay… There’s about thirty of us… Men, women, children…” “What kind of firepower?” “Heavy… we men, we go out and scavenge at night” “Is that all you do? I said, is that all you do?!” “One time, we came across a father and his two daughters” Randall sniveled. “They were about college age… The guys I was with, they… and they made their father watch, didn’t kill them after or nothing… but I didn’t join in, I swear…” Daryl stood up straight and holstered his knife. Something about the kid… he thought of Abby, of what it would be like to see her in that sort of situation… God help him, but he became infuriated. He kicked Randall in the ribs, hard, over and over… XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX Abby was sitting on the ground, nervously biting her nails as Randall howled in pain: she could hear it all the way from the barn. She couldn’t look the others in the eye… her man was busy desiccating the kid, after all. Maggie came and sat down next to her, nervously pushing her shoulder with her hand. “Hey, Abby… it’s okay” Oh, but it was far from being okay… Abby didn’t say anything, and she was grateful when Maggie grew silent. When Daryl returned, Abby stood up and looked at him: he had bloody knuckles, and he didn’t look happy. “Well?” Rick asked. “About thirty people, heavy firepower… they come through here and our boys are dead… and our women… our women would wish that they were” Abby shivered at her lover’s cold tone. She met his eyes and saw concern there. “What did you do?” Carol asked Daryl. Daryl shrugged. “We had a talk” “It’s settled” Rick proclaimed. “We do it tonight” As Rick moved away from the group, Dale followed him, protesting… The others were quiet. Daryl slung his cross bow over his shoulder and headed off back towards his camp: Abby raced after him. It wasn’t until they were back at his camp that she asked the same question that Carol had. “Daryl… What did you do?” Daryl grabbed his canteen and poured some water over the knuckles of his right hand, washing away Randall’s blood. “You don’t get it, Abby… They’re a bunch of animals… rapist pigs…” Oh no, Abby got it: she just couldn’t believe what was happening. She reached out and took hold of Daryl’s hand, gazing down at his bruised knuckles. “You really beat the shit out of him, didn’t you?” “We had to know” he supplied, gazing at her. “Couldn’t just let him be… he could hurt us… hurt you…” Abby looked up into his eyes: again she saw concern, it was raw upon his face. God help her, but she was starting to understand why he did it… he had been trying to protect her and what they had at this farm. Taking his red bandana from his back pocket, she wiped his knuckles clean. Daryl hissed despite himself at the pain, but he never broke eye contact with her. “So now he dies?” Abby inquired softly. “We can’t let him go… he’d lead them right back here” Abby thought about it for a moment, tears forming in her eyes. Daryl was right and she knew it, but she couldn’t stop herself from feeling mortified about the situation. “I’m sure it’ll be quick” Daryl consoled, taking the bandana back from her and slipping it into his back pocket. He pivoted and walked to the log, sitting down. Abby joined him, sighing. “Do you love me now?” he queried softly, staring at the fire pit. She knew what he was asking: now that she knew the lengths that he would go to in order to keep the farm safe, did she still feel the same way about him? Did she still love him, knowing that he would be one of the men to put Randall down? Abby turned and looked at him… he appeared forlorn and lost. She touched his face so that he gazed at her. “Oh, Daryl…yes, I do” Relief flooded him: he really thought that he had fucked up… She closed her eyes as Daryl kissed her softly and sweetly. “You’re my girl, you know that?” he asked quietly. “I would do anything to protect what we have here” Abby’s heart swelled at his declaration. “I would, too” “Then trust me” She smiled at him. “I do, Daryl. I don’t really want to see him killed, but I’ll stand by your decision” “I don’t have no mercy for him: you shouldn’t, either. It’s cold now, and when it’s your time, it’s your time” Abby nodded as Daryl turned his gaze back to the fire pit. “I was thinking” he began, “You should move your stuff out here with me” He was asking her to move in with him? Oh god, but emotion swamped her once again… “We can pool our resources and you’ll be close in case something happens” “Daryl, I…” “You’re my girl” he continued. “You should be out here with me” “Of course” Abby answered, gazing at him. She knew that it was hard for him to say these things, and she more than appreciated that he was putting himself up for rejection by doing so. “I want to be with you” Daryl looked at her sideways, gauging her reaction. No one had ever said anything like that to him in his life, and most certainly not a woman. “You sure?” “Yes, I am. You’re right, I should be with you” “It’s going to get cold out here” “Hershel will give us blankets” Daryl gazed into her eyes, seeing that she spoke the truth: she truly wanted to be with him. Oh, this was strange… he wasn’t used to feeling this way about anyone… and here Abby was, making him want to protect her and keep her close. Was this love? Abby looked away from him before the situation got too tense. “How about I go up to the house and make us some sandwiches?” “Yeah” he agreed, thankful for the reprieve from his emotions. “I’ll get us some coffee, too” she stated, getting up. “When I come back, we can go for a walk” Daryl nodded in agreement: Abby kissed him on the cheek and was gone without another word. XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX When Abby returned with a backpack full of food for them, she found Dale in Daryl’s camp. She ended up walking in on the middle of a conversation. “You’re a decent man” Dale was saying. “Surely you can’t think that this kid deserves to die…” Abby looked at Daryl and saw the resignation on his face. “We can’t let him go” Daryl retorted. “He’s a danger” “But what about what this will do to the group?” “This group is broken” Daryl stated, putting on his leather jacket. He picked up his crossbow, carefully checking the bolts. “I can’t help you, Dale” With that, Dale turned to Abby. “And what about you?” he asked. “Can you live with this?” Abby exchanged glances with her lover. “I stand by Daryl’s decision” she breathed, moving her gaze to Dale. “Randall could lead his people here” “I can’t believe you” Dale answered. “I can’t believe either of you. What kind of example are we setting?” “For who?” Daryl responded. “For all we know, this farm and those people of Randall’s are all that’s left. Are we supposed to let them come in here and destroy everything?” “There has to be some other way” Dale protested. “Sorry, brother” Daryl replied, motioning for Abby to join him at his side. “Like I said before, I can’t help you” Abby moved close to Daryl: he reached out and put his hand on the small of her back, gently pushing her ahead of him and towards the trees. They walked away from Dale without another word. XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX Daryl waited until they were fairly deep into the forest to take a seat at the base of a tree, taking off his crossbow: Abby joined him, sighing and taking off her backpack. “I brought us sandwiches and coffee…” she began. She didn’t get to finish her sentence: Daryl pounced on her, kissing her full and deep. Abby could only moan and place her hands on his head, her fingers digging into his hair. Oh god, but he tasted good. He set himself to embracing her with everything that he felt: all of the love, all of the trust that he had for her. “Mmm” Abby breathed, gently pulling back from him. “What’s that for?” “I want you” Daryl confessed, stroking her face. “I want your pussy” Abby knew that there was more to it, but she didn’t press the issue. She could understand how hard it was for him to express his emotions. Instead of questioning him further, she kissed him once more, her little hand reaching downward and covering his crotch… Oh yes, he was good and hard for her, which made her grow wet. Somehow, as they embraced, she got out of her boots and socks, starting in on her jeans. Once she got out of them, she undid Daryl’s fly, releasing his cock into her hands. She couldn’t help herself, she broke their kiss and leaned down, licking his cockhead and taking him into her mouth to suck. Daryl moaned at her action, setting his hands in her hair. “Oh, girl… please… I wanna fuck you” “Sorry” Abby apologized, “You just taste so good…” Daryl pulled her against him for another kiss, maneuvering her so that she was straddling him as he sat on the ground. She cried out longingly as he filled her with his dick. “Oh, yes…” Abby cried, placing her hands on his shoulders. “Daryl, you feel so good” “So do you, girl” he praised. He unzipped her hoodie and pushed her shirt up, baring her breasts. She nearly lost it when she felt his calloused hands caress her tits, followed by his mouth on her left breast as she moved over him. Oh, god, but she was so nice and wet, her pussy tight around his cock. He didn’t have to force her up and down his shaft: she rode him freely and with an abandon that made his stomach tighten with pleasure. He shifted his attentions to her right breast, licking and sucking. “Gorgeous tits” he complimented against her chest. Abby brought him up to her for another kiss, rubbing her tongue frantically against his. It was moments like this that made her love him, moments in which they expressed animal passion based upon the emotion that they felt for one another. “Love the way that you fit inside of me” she gasped, pulling back and nuzzling his face with her own. “You’re so tight, girl” Daryl sighed, cupping her face in his hands. “You’ve got the sweetest pussy I’ve ever had” She smiled, digging her fingertips into his shoulders. “It belongs to you, Daryl… it’s all yours…” He chuckled darkly, sliding his right hand down to her bare ass. Daryl held her close, announcing, “You’re damn right, Abby… I made it mine the very first time that we fucked…” “Yes” she hissed in agreement, the ecstasy building within her. “Oh, god…” Another kiss, so sweet that they both purred into the embrace. Abby rode him with abandon, just loving the way that he slid in and out of her in smooth strokes. For his part, Daryl restlessly lifted his hips to slam home into her. They fucked until they were both on the edge, moaning loudly. “Oh, girl…” Daryl groaned, squeezing her buttock with his right hand. “I want to give you my come…” “I want it” Abby agreed, pressing her forehead to his. “I want your come deep inside of me” Daryl grimaced with bliss and lost himself, coming in hard throbs: he shot his fluid into her in wave after wave. He could feel Abby orgasming around him and he heard her cries of ecstasy… When he next opened his eyes, his head was tilted back against the tree trunk and he was staring at the blue sky above. They were both panting, and all that he could think about was how beautiful the sky was… that is, until Abby began to press tender kisses to his face and neck. “Mmm, girl…” “That was SO goddamn good, Daryl” Abby answered in between gasps. He chuckled lowly, rubbing his hand over her backside. “You ain’t so bad yourself… you certainly do know how to ‘ride’” Abby blushed at his praise and rested her head on his shoulder. “Daryl Dixon, you bad boy…” “Look at the sky…” Sitting back a bit (which made them both groan), she did as he asked. “It’s pretty” “Times like this, when it’s all quiet and peaceful, it’s almost as if the world is right” There he went, being romantic again without even knowing it. Abby kissed him softly, just tasting his lips. “I like kissing you” she confessed, grinning. “It’s nice” he agreed, curling a piece of her hair around his right index finger. “I hate to say it, but you should get dressed… Carl likes to wander all over this damn farm…” “You’re right” she answered, slowly shifting off of him. They both cried out unhappily at the sensation: Abby quickly slid back into her jeans and was putting her shoes and socks back on when she next spoke to him. “I heard you saying something to Dale about Otis when I was walking up to your camp…” “Yeah” Daryl replied, zipping up his jeans and watching her tie her laces. She took hold of her backpack and opened it, digging inside of it for the sandwiches. Finding one, she handed it to Daryl. “Well, what were you two talking about: about Otis, I mean?” Daryl took the sandwich from her and looked into her eyes. “Girl, can I tell you something and you promise not to run tell Hershel or anybody else?” A secret? Abby tensed up: this didn’t sound good. She trusted Daryl, though, and she wanted him to trust her back. “Of course… it’ll just be between you and me” Daryl sighed and rubbed the back of his neck, trying to find the easiest way to tell her this: after all, she had been friends with Otis. “That night that Shane and Otis went out together, and Shane said that the walkers got Otis… That just don’t make no sense, Abby. Shane came back with Otis’ gun” Abby nervously took a thermos out of the backpack. “I don’t follow you…” “Listen, girl… look at me” When her eyes met his, he continued in a low whisper. “The only thing that makes sense is that Shane took Otis’ gun and then killed him” His words hit home and Abby’s eyes filled with tears. “I… why would he do that?” Daryl shook his head. “I don’t know… to get the pressure off of him so that he could get back here is my guess” She was shaking, but she moved to open the thermos… He took the item out of her hands and looked at her. She was obviously doing her best not to cry and it hurt his heart. Daryl clasped her hands in his and pulled her in for a kiss… “Does Rick know?” Abby queried when he released her. “Like I told Dale, if he don’t know, it’s because he don’t want to. I’m not the smartest guy in the bunch, but I figured it out pretty quickly” Abby reached up with her left hand and touched his lips. “I wish you wouldn’t say that about yourself… You’re very smart, Daryl. If you weren’t, you wouldn’t be alive” “You’re just saying that because you like me” Shaking her head, she leaned close and kissed him again. “I’m saying that because you’re smart” she whispered against his lips. “Not to mention that you’re sexy… I love you, Daryl” He couldn’t help but to grin at her words. Casually, he switched topics. “I don’t suppose that you brought a couple of cigarettes with you?” Abby smiled too. “Of course… but they’re for after we eat” “Then let’s eat, girl… What have we got?” “Peanut butter and jelly: I pulled out all of the stops” Daryl chuckled and opened up his sandwich, taking a bite.
