******************************************
Dean had suspected that something was
wrong with his father all night, and now he knew for sure, “He’d be furious.”
“What,” John asked frantically.
Dean looked intently at John, “That I
wasted a bullet. He wouldn’t be proud of me. He’d tear me a new one.” Dean
thought back on what the man or demon that had raped him in the bedroom said to
him. It said that the only thing John Winchester was proud of was Dean’s
cocksucking abilities and nothing else. Dean raised the Colt and cocked it
pointing it at his father, “You’re not my dad.”
John stared at his son in disbelief,
secretly thrilled that the human had finally figured out the truth, “Dean, it’s
me.”
“I know my dad better than anyone,
and you ain’t him,” Dean confidently remarked pointing the Colt at his father
who he believed was possessed.
“What the hell has gotten into you?”
John hysterically asked finding it hard not to laugh.
“I could ask you the same thing,”
Dean replied placing his finger on the trigger of the gun. Dean heard Sam come
into the room and wondered how his brother would react to seeing the Colt
pointed at his father’s chest. Would he even care now that he knew the truth
about John’s sexual misconduct?
“Dean, what the hell is going
on?” Sam asked from the corner of the
room. He had checked on the salt like his father had ordered leaving the pair
of men alone for just a minute, and now he found his father staring down a
barrel of a gun.
John glanced nervously as his
youngest son, “Your brother has lost his mind.”
Dean clenched his teeth, “He’s not
Dad.”
Sam’s eyebrows arched in surprise.
“What?”
“I think he’s possessed,” Dean began.
“I think he’s been possessed since we rescued him.” Dean desperately wanted to
be right; he needed to know that his father wasn’t responsible for his violent
behavior.
John stared intently at Dean as Sam
approached his brother, “Don’t listen to him Sammy.”
Sam ignored his father, “Dean, how do
you know?”
Where do I start? Dean silently asked
himself. Dean had known all along that something wasn’t right about his father
since his rescue, but he had thought that the man was just tired, but the
sexual activities had begun to convince him otherwise, “He’s different.”
“I
told you that you were making it easy for him to see the truth,” John bragged
to the demon. “Dean knows that I would never have said the things you said to
him nor done the things you did to him.”
“You
really think your innocent in all this don’t you?” the demon asked. “You think
because you never physically forced him into your bed that you’re a better
father than me?”
“You’re
not his father!” John exclaimed trapped within his own head.
“I
will be soon Johnny Boy,” the demon snickered.
“You know, we don’t have time for
this. Sam, you want to kill this demon you’ve got to trust me,” John pleaded
with his son. He watched as Sam looked back and forth between himself and Dean,
“Sam?”
Sam looked at Dean in doubt. How
could Dean kill his own father; the man who had apparently been his lover for
over a decade? “No,” Sam remarked shaking his head slightly. He knew that Dean
would never make the accusation unless it was true, “No.”
“Time
to earn the Oscar,” the demon informed John before he began crying in feigned
pain for the boys benefit.
John’s chin trembled as the fake
tears began, “Fine, you’re both so sure? Then go ahead, kill me.” John hanged
his head in sadness waiting for Dean’s reaction. He grinned softly when he saw
Dean, who was nearly in tears, lowering the gun, “I thought so.” John looked up
revealing his fiery yellow eyes, showing Dean that he had been right in his
assessment, and he threw both men across the room pinning them to the wall with
his mind. The demon casually walked over to the Colt, which had fallen on the
floor when Dean was tossed across the room, and picked it up in disgust, “What
a pain in the ass this thing has been.”
Sam fought against the force which
was holding his body in place, “It’s you isn’t it?” Sam was both thrilled and
terrified of the showdown that was finally taking place, “We’ve been looking
for you for a long time.”
The demon winked at Sam, “You found
me.”
Sam looked at the demon in confusion,
“But the Holy Water….”
“You think something like that works
on something like me?” the demon scoffed.
Sam tried to move his head from the
wall but to no avail. He was on the verge of a full blown rage; rage for the
demon and what it did to his family and Jess and rage for his father and what
he did to Dean, “I’m going kill you!”
“Oh, that’d be a neat trick...In
fact, here,” the demon sarcastically replied placing the Colt on the wooden
table. “Make the gun float to you there psychic boy.” The demon watched eagerly
as Sam concentrated on moving the gun but with no success, “Well, this is fun.
I could’ve killed you a hundred times today, but this….this is worth the wait.”
The demon turned his attention to Dean, “Your dad? He’s in here with me…trapped
inside his own meat suit. He says ‘hi’ by the way.” The demon stepped closer
towards the human that would be his new son in the very near future, “He’s
going to tear you apart. He’s going to taste the iron in your blood.”
Dean was helplessly pinned against
the wall struggling to get his fear under control, “Let him go, or I swear to
God…”
“What? What are you and God going to
do?” the demon interrupted. “You see, as far as I’m concerned, this is
justice.” The demon informed Dean as he stepped into the human’s personal
space; mere inches from Dean’s lips, “You know that little exorcism of yours?
That was my daughter.”
“Who? Meg?”
John licked his lips staring at
Dean’s mouth, “The one in the alley? That was my boy. You understand?”
Dean rolled his eyes in disbelief,
“You’ve got to be kidding me.”
“What? You’re the only one who can
have a family? You destroyed my children. How would you feel if I killed your family?” the demon
cruelly asked watching Dean’s face for a reaction but got none. “Oh, that’s
right. I forgot. I did…Still, two wrongs don’t make a right,” the demon
wickedly smiled.
Dean felt his jaw clench in anger.
“You son of a bitch.”
“I want to know why. Why’d you do
it?” Sam asked from the other wall.
Talk
about a loaded question,” the demon began. “What do you think John? You think
little Sammy wants to know about my big plans for your family, or do you think
he wants to know why his daddy rams his cock up his big brother’s ass every
chance he gets?”
John
inwardly cringed at the demon’s crudeness, “You don’t have to make it sound so
dirty. Dean and I love each other…”
“Blah,
blah, blah…just keep telling yourself that John,” the demon interrupted turning
his attention back to Sam.
“You mean, why did I kill Mommy and
pretty little Jess?” the demon asked Sam.
“Yeah,” Sam answered willing to keep
his attention on the demon on the inside of his father’s body; rather than on
John and his sinful behavior with Dean.
The demon turned his head back to
Dean, “You know, I never told you this, but Sam was going to ask her to marry
him; been shopping for rings and everything.” The demon walked closer to Sam,
“You want to know why… because they got in the way.”
“In the way of what,” Sam pleadingly
asked. He was desperate for an explanation of why so much pain and torment had
been reaped upon his family.
The demon stared intently at Sam, “My
plans for you Sammy. You….and all the children like you.”
Dean didn’t like the attention the
demon was giving to Sam. He wanted to keep the lying bastard away from his
brother. He could handle more abuse from the demon, unlike Sam who let himself
get riled up too easily, “Listen….you mind just getting this over with, huh?
Cause I really can’t stand the monologue.”
The demon snapped his attention back
to Dean and walked back over to the human, “Funny…, but that’s all part of your
M.O., isn’t it? Mask all that nasty pain. Mask the truth.”
Dean arched an eyebrow in defiance.
“Oh, yeah? What’s that?”
The demon stepped up close to Dean;
almost touching chest-to-chest, “You know, you fight and you fight for this
family, but the truth is….they don’t need you. Not like you need them.”
“That’s
not true you fucking bastard!” John exclaimed as he watched the demon torment
Dean further.
The demon ignored John’s denial,
“Sam…he’s clearly John’s favorite, even when they fight.” The demon looked into
the Dean’s moss-green eyes looking for the slightest reaction; a sign of
weakening, but only saw rebellion. “It’s more concern than he’s ever shown
you.”
“Dean,
please see that he’s lying,” John pleaded on the inside. “I need you more than
anything else in this world. I know I’ve fucked everything up with you this
last year, but I want to make it up to you.”
Not
for the first time, the demon wished he could shut John’s inner voice off, but
the oldest Winchester was proving to be more difficult to control than the
other human’s he had possessed in the past. “This isn’t fucking Days of our
Lives…tone down your melodramatic shit!”
Dean refused to let the demon bait
him. He knew his father needed him; perhaps not in a healthy way, but he needed
him regardless, “I bet you’re real proud of your kids too.” Dean paused smiling
weakly, “Oh wait, I forgot, I wasted them.”
The
demon secretly loved the human’s defiance; the spark of rebellion that still
burned inside Dean’s tormented soul despite all the shit life had heaped upon
him. Dean would make a great addition to his collection of souls in Hell,
“John, you ready to kill your fuck toy?”
“No!”
John yelled. “Please don’t kill him! Don’t take him away from me!”
“But
I thought you wanted to set him free. Free him to be his own man; free to
stretch his wings,” the demon teased.
Dean watched as the demon stepped
back silently with his head down. He knew that he would pay for his comment but
anything was better than letting the demon see his weakness. Dean watched
wearily as the demon raised his head with his evil eyes sparkling with clear
intent. Within moments, Dean felt a sharp pain in his chest and screamed in
agony as his blood was drained from his body.
Sam watched in slow realization that
the demon was bleeding his brother to death. He hadn’t expected the demon to
react so violently to Dean’s smart-ass remark, “Dean! No!”
Dean moaned in pain and watched in
panic as the blood poured from his body; wondering mindlessly if this was how
his own mother had felt that faithful night, “Dad! Dad, don’t you let it kill
me!”
“Please
stop!” John pleaded with the demon.
“I
think he’s beautiful covered in blood, don’t you?” the demon asked. “I think
that I have discovered a new kink to try out with Dean once we’re finally
home.”
John
watched helplessly as his son slowly began to lose his strength; certain death
only moments away, “Dean…baby, please fight this.”
“As
a matter of fact, I think he needs a tad more red, don’t you think?” the demon
casually asked as he forced more blood from Dean’s body.
Sam watched in horror as his
brother’s face turned ghostly pale with blood coming out of his mouth, “Dean!”
Dean took one last look at his father
on the verge of death, “Dad…please.”
Sam was desperately trying to pull
his body away from the wall, but he stilled as he saw Dean’s head drop in
unconsciousness, “Dean! No!”
“You’re
not going to take my boy without a fight you bastard!” John began. “You took my
wife, my happiness, and my family’s chance for a normal life, but you will not
take him too!”
The
demon was momentarily overpowered by John’s resolve to save his son, “You can’t
save him John.”
John lifted his head, his eyes back
to normal, and he looked at Dean. “Stop. Stop it.”
Sam felt the invisible force holding
him on the wall release him. He instantly dove for the Colt and pointed it at
John determined to kill the demon that was still inside his father.
The demon regained control of John’s
body, “You kill me and you kill Daddy.”
On impulse, Sam shot the demon in the
thigh with the Colt, “I know.” Sam watched as the demon fell to the floor
losing its hold on his father. Sam looked over at Dean who was slouched on his
side on the floor. He ran over to check on his brother, “Dean? Hey. Oh, God.
You lost a lot of blood.”
Dean was barely conscious, “Where’s
Dad?”
Sam looked at the large amount of
blood on Dean’s shirt and grimaced in worry, “He’s right here. He’s right here,
Dean.”
“Go check on him…Go check on him,”
Dean insisted.
Sam was not surprised by his
brother’s willingness to put his own health last. Dean always put everyone’s
needs and wants in front of his own. Sam reluctantly walked over to his father,
“Dad?”
John’s brown eyes suddenly snapped
open, “Sammy! It’s still alive. It’s inside me. I can feel it. You shoot me.
You shoot me! You shoot me in the heart, son!” He watched as Sam’s eyes filled
with tears as he pointed the Colt at his father, “Do it now!”
Dean’s vision was getting cloudy, but
he saw Sam pointing the gun as their father’s chest, “Sam, don’t you do it…
don’t you do it.”
“You’ve got to hurry! I can’t hold on
to it much longer! You shoot me, son! Shoot me!” John exclaimed hoping that Sam
would ignore Dean’s plea. “Son, I’m begging you! We can end this here and now!
Sammy!”
Dean could feel the hot tears running
down his cheeks. He couldn’t let Sam kill his father because it would haunt Sam
for the rest of his life, and Dean wanted a chance to make things right with
John, “Sam, no.”
John knew that his death was the only
way to stop the demon and part of him thought that he deserved to die for the
things he had done to Dean, “You do this! Sammy! Sam….”
The
demon felt his hold on the human weakening and Sam’s indecisiveness on what to
do was making him nervous. He couldn’t afford the chance that Sam would pull
the trigger and destroy him, so he decided to let the Winchester’s win this
round, “Alright Johnny Boy, you win this round, but I’ll be back real soon.”
The demon released his grasp on John’s body and felt himself beginning to rise
out of John’s body, “I hope your little pretty boy survives…I can’t wait to tap
that sweet ass again.”
Sam watched as the demon erupted out
of John’s body; a grainy cloud of blackness came out of his father’s mouth and
into the floorboards. Sam recognized his father’s sadness; his disappointment
apparent, “I couldn’t do it Dad, I’m sorry.”
John looked over at Dean who had
slipped into unconsciousness, “You should have killed me Sammy.”
“I couldn’t,” Sam whispered as he
walked over to Dean. He checked for a pulse and was grateful to find a weak
one, “He’s still alive Dad.”
John struggled to standup and skirted
over to Dean, “Let’s get him to a hospital.” Despite his own injury, John
reached down to grab at Dean’s shoulder, “Help me get him to the car.”
Sam practically shoved John back onto
the floor, “Keep your fucking hands off him. I think that you’ve done enough
damage, don’t you?”
John was surprised by the ferocity of
Sam’s sudden change in attitude, but he decided to let it be for the time
being. “Whatever you say Sam. Let’s just get him some help, okay?”
Sam threw Dean over onto his shoulder
and turned to leave the cabin, “We’ll get him some help and then you and I are
going to have it out.”
Any other time, Sam’s threat would
have been dealt with immediately, but John knew that Sam was angry about his
inappropriate relationship with Dean, “Sam…I know you’re pissed off about us,
but you have to understand…”
Sam turned back swiftly to look at
his father, “I don’t have to understand shit! He was sixteen…sixteen fucking
years old!” Sam roared. Sam turned away from John and headed out to the Impala
leaving his father on his own, “Be careful walking on that bum leg. I wouldn’t
want you to fall and break your neck!” Sam might not have been able to kill his
own father, but part of him wouldn’t mind if something else caused the man to
die, “It’s going to be okay Dean. I’m going to protect you from him.”
Dean floated in and out of
consciousness feeling Sam placing him gingerly into the backseat of the Chevy.
“No…Sam.”
“Hush, everything is going to be
okay,” Sam firmly stated placing Dean into a sitting position with his head
leaning against the side. “We’ll get you fixed up, kill this demon, and take
off on our own again.”
“Dad, please,” Dean weakly moaned.
“I’m right here son,” John affirmed.
“Get in the front seat,” Sam
requested. “I got this taken care of.”
John knew that every second counted
if they wanted to save Dean, so he didn’t delay Sam with an explanation or response
to Sam’s harshness, “Okay Sam.”
Sam closed the back door and made
sure John was in the car before he climbed behind the driver’s seat, “There’s a
hospital up on the main highway.”
John looked at Sam’s bruised face as
his youngest son backed out of driveway, “You need to get that face looked at
while we’re there.”
Sam pressed down on the accelerator
and headed back to the main road, “Is that an order?”
“It’s an observation,” John retorted
getting angry at Sam’s coldness.
“Is that what you did to him, order
him to spread his legs and take your dick up his ass?” Sam sneered.
John’s leg was aching and bleeding
but it didn’t hurt nearly as much as Sam’s accusations “Don’t make assumptions
about things you know nothing about. I never forced Dean into anything.”
“No, you just molested and
manipulated him. Twisted him up on the inside and turned him into your willing
whore,” Sam retorted.
John felt his nostrils flaring, “You
don’t know what you’re talking about Sam, but I would prefer that we talk about
this later.”
Both men were quiet for a few moments
both trying to ignore the sounds of Dean’s haggard breathing. Sam looked back
over his shoulder at his brother, “Just hold on, all right? Hospital’s only ten
minutes away.”
John wasn’t in the mood to defend his
actions to Sam or anyone else so he simply changed the conversation, “I’m
surprised at you Sammy. Why didn’t you kill it? I thought we saw eye to eye on
this…Killing this demon comes first, before me, before everything.”
Sam glanced in the mirror looking at
Dean’s broken body. “No, sir, not before everything.” In Salvation, Dean had
confessed that Sam and John were the only things holding his life together and
without them Dean would fall apart. Sam frowned wondering if the demon had been
right when he told Dean that he wasn’t as important to his family as they were
to him. Sam felt like shit realizing that he had neglected Dean, made fun of
his devotion to his family and to the hunt, teased him for being good little
soldier, but he was determined that nothing or no one else would ever hurt Dean
again, “Look, we still have the Colt. We still have the one bullet left. We
just have to start over, all right? I mean, we already found the demon…”
Sam never had the chance to finish
his thought as an eighteen-wheeler slammed into the side of the Impala; smashed
glass, mangled metal, and careened the car off the road. All three Winchesters
were unmoving, covered in blood, and unaware of the possessed trucker who was
getting out of the truck walking towards the ruined Chevy. The demon looked
into the car checking on the damage he caused to the pain in the ass Winchester clan.
“Sorry about the car Johnny Boy but
that’s what you get for pissing me off,” the demon taunted the unconscious man.
He could see that John was in bad shape being closest to the impact point.
“Jeez, hope I didn’t cause any permanent damage. I want you to be alive for the
next part…it’s going to be a doozy.”
The demon looked in the backseat
noting that Dean was still alive and smiled, “Well, looks like I might get to
play with you again after all.” The demon walked over to the other side of the
car to get closer to Dean. He reached through the shards of glass towards the
backseat and placed a hand on Dean’s face appreciating the stark contrast between
the paleness of Dean’s skin with the crimson red blood covering his lips and
throat, “Just wait until I get my hands on you again…I’m going to make your dad
look like Jesus Christ himself.”
The demon turned his attention to Sam
checking out the youngest Winchester’s condition, “Damn physic boy, you didn’t see that coming ahead of
time?” The demon looked in morbid fascination at the blood dripping out of
Sam’s ear, “Look’s like somebody bumped their head. There might even be
permanent brain damage…I guess I’ll just have to help you out with that…”
Through a veil of darkness and
unconsciousness, Sam could smell the putrid smell of evil and a feeling of
heaviness on his chest. He didn’t see the grainy cloud of blackness enter his
mouth, but he could feel the coldness encompassing his mind along with an
overwhelming sense of being infiltrated by a dark presence.
Sam’s
unconscious mind recognized the intruder. “No! Get out!”
“Sammy, I’m just trying to help you
out here. Your injuries are pretty severe,” the demon began. “Besides, I got so
much planned for you and your brother.”
“Leave
Dean out of this,” Sam screamed in his own mind.
The demon was easily able to
manipulate the weakened human’s mind and body and slowly opened Sam’s eyes.
“And ruin all my fun? I don’t think so.” The demon could feel Sam’s powerful
psychic energy and smiled, “Besides, it’s time to show you what you’re really
capable of, and my presence will make that process go much more quickly.”
“Fine,
I’ll go with you and you can be my Yoda; teach me the dark side of the force,
but leave Dean out of it,” Sam begged.
“I want you both, and I’m going to
use you to get to him,” the demon explained. “You were so quick to judge your
father for his actions against Dean; making assumptions on something you had no
clue about,” the demon taunted. “You shouldn’t judge others. It’s a sin you
know?”
“So
is molestation and incest,” Sam defensively replied.
The demon softly laughed, “Yes it is,
but there both so much fun. Something you will experience first-hand.”
“No…God!
No!” Sam pleaded.
The demon rolled his eyes at the
predictable Winchester response. “You and your father sound like
a broken record.” The demon wanted all of the Winchesters to survive so that
they could experience his wrath. Once again, the family had fucked up his plans
but now it was his turn for revenge. He looked at the trucker who was coming to
on the ground, “Go and call for help you idiot!” The trucker assessed the
situation, remembered ramming into the Chevy, being out of control, and scrambled
to his feet to follow the demon’s command. The demon watched as the trucker ran
off to his rig to use the radio, “I swear Sammy, you two boys better be worth
all this effort.” The demon looked over his shoulder at Dean, “This is going to
be the performance of a lifetime. I just might get an Oscar and an Emmy for the
way I’m going to play you Dean.”
“Please
don’t do this…just take me, leave Dean alone,” Sam cried.
“Just shut up! Don’t you Winchesters
ever stop whining?” the demon asked in frustration. “Trust me Sammy, once you
sample everything your brother has to offer, you won’t be able to stop
yourself. Besides, just consider it something else you and your father have in
common; the women you loved burning alive, both of your needs for revenge at all
cost, and now you both will be fucking Dean’s ass…and that pretty mouth. You’re
going to thank me for this later, I promise…”
Okay, now we have officially entered into A/U territory, but
it’s what felt natural since we don’t know how the writers of the show are
going to play out the whole car crash scenario.
Part IX coming soon
