One Final Trip to Paradise
Practically running, Marlena sped to her room. Even before the door had fully closed her sundress went flying, floating down to a crumpled mass on the floor. Kicking off her sandals carelessly in opposite directions as she dashed to the bureau. Opening a drawer she retrieved a pair of khaki cargo shorts and a white tank top, and vaulted into them while snatching a pair thick, knee-socks from another drawer before bolting to the closet and seizing her hiking boots from the closet floor, slipping them on and lacing them up in record time.
John gave it an acceptable amount of time before he too exited the dining room and out the door, hustling to reach the airfield on the opposite side of the island to put in an appearance before slipping off to find her.
Marlena gave herself the once over in the mirror, she adjusted her ponytail and started out of the room. Spying the camera on a nearby table, she grabbed it, placing the strap around her neck, confident that she looked the part of the sightseeing hiker she headed off, in search of a waterfall and the hopes of one final trip to paradise.
As she made her way down from the lofty perch the mansion rested upon she could see John far in the distance, sprinting towards the airfield. She hurried along the path that lead down to the rest of the island and as she did she passed Lucien, working amongst the shrubbery.
“Good day Mrs. DiMera.” He chimed, surprising Marlena whose thoughts were elsewhere.
“Good morning Lucien.” She replied.
“Lovely day isn’t it.” Lucien said, looking up into the bright sky.
“Yes, yes it is Lucien. I’m off the find that waterfall you told me about.” She said.
“It’s one of the loveliest I’ve ever seen, there is a pristine crystal pool surrounding it. Wonderful place for a swim after a journey on such a warm day. Take care Mrs. DiMera, the interior is undeveloped and the terrain can be rough going at times.” Lucien told her.
“Thank you Lucien, I’ll be careful.” Marlena said and began trotting off, a distinct lilt in her voice and in her stride, her ponytail kept time with her rapid gait.
She reached a point along the trail that ran up the center of the island, if she continued to follow the path along its winding turns it would led her down to the beach on the eastern side of the island, a place she had already extensively explored. She stepped off the manicured trail and into the brush.
As she moved further away from the mansion and nearer to the dense jungle interior, Marlena’s thoughts moved further away from Stefano and closer to John and what was to come. Last night replaying in her head. How wonderful John’s skin felt against hers, how tremendous his huge cock felt, filling her up. How right it felt being with him, even though decorum said that it was wrong. But how could it be wrong, what she felt for John went deeper than anything she’d felt for the man she was married to. She felt as if she knew everything about this stranger and almost nothing about her own husband.
She knew that when Stefano returned tonight he would no longer take no for an answer. The thought of his plump hands on her now made her skin crawl. She tried to push those thoughts out of her mind and focus on the here and now and on being given this gift of one last day with John.
The jungle began to envelop her, the thick forest of palm and cypress trees began to blot out the sun and the giant ferns brushed against her legs making them tingle or maybe it was the thought of John touching her again that was making her tingle, she didn’t know, she didn’t care, the feeling was exquisite and she relished it. The further she went the slower she was able to move over the rough terrain, the sounds of tropical birds filled the air and the aroma of wet earth and wild flowers wafted around her.
John's pace had gone from a brisk trot into a full throttle dash. He had to make it to the airfield on the other side of the island and put in an appearance, just to cover his tracks. There were only two men on duty when he arrived and John was relieved, it would be easier to sneak off without being noticed. He greeted the men, informing them of his plans to ready the plane for take off and then he disappeared into the hanger. He had to figure out a way to slip out without being noticed, but he worried one of the men would come looking for him, to offer their assistance, to make idle chit chat or check up on his activities, he had to make certain his disappearance would go unnoticed.
He climbed into cockpit and did a quick check of the instruments. Everything was in perfect order, just as he’d left it. Then he remembered the two bottles of whiskey he’d stashed along with his gear for emergency purposes. John knew these guys had to be bored out of their minds, stuck out here in the middle of nowhere and would welcome a release from that boredom. So he pulled out one of the bottles and headed outside, wandering towards the control room. He spotted the to two men leaning again the building smoking cigarettes and John smiled and waved the bottle at them and pointed towards the control room.
Drinking on the job was against the Boss’ rules, but these guys weren’t hardcore like he was, John knew they’d be inclined to break the rules. Both men looked at each other and then smiled and tossed their cigarettes down and followed John inside.
“It’s party time gentleman.” John chuckled pulling up a chair, the men did the same and John proceeded to break the seal and open the bottle, making sure he took to first swig to alleviate any fear they might have that this was a set up to get them in trouble. The men gladly joined in.
Each time the bottle was passed to John he only pretended to drink from it, wiping the residue from his lips and passing it on. When the bottle was half empty, John could tell both men were well on their way to being drunk. He encouraged them to drink up and they did until the bottle was thoroughly drained. John gave an academy award winning performance of being blind drunk; he suggested retrieving his other bottle from the hanger and the two men cheered him on.
John got up and staggered from the control room and along the pathway to the hanger, once inside he quickly grabbed the other bottle, hoping that the men would pass out soon. Swaggering back to the control room he found them both fast asleep. He placed the bottle down on his chair and snatched a map of the island, locating the precise position of the waterfall. Dashing off into the nearby jungle, hoping Marlena would still be waiting for him.
