Chapter 9
Seated on the edge of the bed, reading through the local paper, Sam no more than heard the fluttering of wings when he found himself flat on his back with Cas perched over him. Before he could even open his mouth to say hi, it was being devoured by the angel. Honestly? He liked it! It had been almost a week since the last time they had been able to spend time alone because Dean had been stuck to him like they were glued together. From what he could suss out, it seemed that whatever Cas had done the last time he was alone with Dean had completely freaked his brother out. Not that Dean actually said anything aloud mind you, it was more like dark mutterings about pervert angels that his brother didn't think he could overhear. Sam was dying over that. It also meant that he had been pushing things further on his end. The two of them had spent so much time together over the years in cramped quarters of various hotels that what would be abnormal for most, wasn't for them. That meant that he had to go about things in a slightly different way and be more obvious than he would most times. He had done that, though it was odd for him. When they were out, he was spending more time talking to various men because he learned that Dean was getting jealous over it. Of course, he acted like he didn't notice, but he did. Then he made sure to come out of the bathroom in more of an undressed state than before, usually in nothing but a towel, professing to have forgotten something. He could actually feel Dean's eyes crawling over him when he did that. Not to mention catch glimpses of lust in his expression. Then, the kicker, was that he had pretended to moan Dean's name out in his sleep a couple times. As he had been around his brother for so long, he could easily fake sleep well enough to have Dean convinced he really was asleep. Those times he could hear his brother take care of something after he did it. Perfect! Just completely perfect! When Cas finally broke off the kiss and was giving him a heated look, Sam just grinned at him then chuckled, “I missed you too, Cas!” Reaching up, he put his hands on the back of the angel's head and pulled him down into another kiss, though one not as passionate as what he had been on the receiving end of. Enjoying the gentle kiss from Sam almost as much as the passionate, needy one that he had planted on his lover, Cas looked down at him intently. “I want sex again. I've missed you and that, both. However, we do need to talk as well. There is some information that I have to impart to you.” Sobering up a little, Sam gazed up at his angel then sighed, “Alright. We better talk first. My brain gets all fuzzy when you've finished with me, so I won't be as alert as I should be.” Grinning, he chuckled, “And, dude, you're the only one that's ever been able to do that to me!” Though it took him a minute to 'get' what Sam meant, Cas then nodded, pleased. “That means that it's right and we are meant to be together,” he said plainly. Sitting up, he perched on the edge of the bed, looking at his lover then added, “However, I do need your faculties fully functional to talk.” Grinning slightly, Sam sat up then scooted to the head of the bed and leaned back against the headboard, looking at Cas. “Alright, what's going on?” “Hell has found out Ruby is gone. They are now in the middle of trying to get someone else to take over. Rather than try to cultivate the kind of relationship she had with you, they are going to push for something else. That is why Alistair is here. It's him that is going to attempt to get his hands on you as a way to force not only you but Dean into doing what they want. I think they may suspect that you had something to do with getting rid of Ruby. From what I know, they haven't found her yet, but the suspicion is there.” Grin disappearing from his face so fast that it was almost instantaneous, Sam looked at Cas, swallowing thickly. “This isn't good.” Now his mind was all over trying to come up with some way to deal with it. “No, it's not,” Cas told him bluntly, looking intent. “I did some checking on facts while I couldn't come. I think, from what I was able to find, that even if you are out, Dean would be able to break the final seal. That may be a backup plan they have for this. I do believe that they will try to force you to do this in some way, perhaps using Dean as leverage. If they can't, I'm certain they are going to start manipulating Dean into doing it. The more I found, the more likely it does seem that Dean had something implanted while in Hell that might force the issue and get him to do their bidding in some way or take him out of Heaven's hands. If they can get him out of Heaven's hands, he can be used in your stead. I believe there is one that can be used to replace him.” Stopping, the angel looked at him intently then said, “Sam, I don't think we have much time left to work on pushing Dean into what we want. In my opinion, we need him out, now.” Not liking what he was hearing, Sam rubbed a hand over his eyes, trying to think. This was a mess, a big one. “Alright, I get that, Cas. Any suggestions there? I mean, I don't think we have Dean in a place yet where he might agree to this. He's on the edge, I admit that, but I don't think we can push it that far yet. From what I've seen, he's too busy waffling between you and me to make a firm choice.” “I will agree with that,” Cas nodded, looking at the floor. “He's leaning there, at least from what I can tell, but I'm not sure we can get a favorable outcome if we push this. He may back off and just get angry.” Lifting his head, he looked at Sam then asked, “Do you have any suggestions? You know Dean far better than I do.” Blowing out a breath, looking down at the bed, Sam thought the whole situation over. After contemplating it quietly for a couple minutes, he asked, tone thoughtful, “With what you've seen of Dean with both situations, does he really want to go there with us? Me, at least from what I can tell and what you've said, he's heavily leaning there. It's your end I'm not sure about.” Pondering what he was just asked, Cas told his lover, “I think, though not as much as you, he does seem to enjoy what I'm doing. The erection when I kiss him is telling of that end. He is, of course, in denial about both, me more so than you. I do think that he wants to, he's just reluctant. Especially with not knowing who my lover is.” Taking that in, Sam nodded slowly. “Alright, that might work.” “What might?” Cas asked, looking intently at him. Sighing, lifting an eyebrow and tilting his head to the side, he glanced at Cas and said, “We might have to push him into this by blindsiding him. And the chances of that backfiring are big. He's going to be mad, at both of us. Really? I'm not sure how mad he's going to get either. With how he's been about me, finding out that I'm your lover might be the worst of it. What could come of that might be bad.” “I'm more than capable of dealing with Dean and his ire,” Cas told him bluntly. “I know,” Sam nodded. “You can and I'm not worried about you getting hurt. What I'm worried about is the whole thing blowing up on the two of us and him vanishing. He doesn't usually do that, more like stay and fight it out, but this time he might. Especially when he figures out I know exactly what is going on with him.” That's where Sam stopped and looked at Cas intently. Thinking over what Sam said, Cas began to nod slowly. “I understand. He's going to be angry. The want, though, is there. That I know.” “I think this might go beyond angry,” Sam chuckled dryly, looking at the angel. “He's going to be furious and fists will fly.” “I'm not concerned about myself, Sam,” Cas told him. Stopping, he thought it over then realized that Sam would be the one that would catch the brunt of it. Brow furrowing, he said, “Is there any way to introduce it to where I take the worst of his ire? Where you don't have to come into it until afterwards? I think I can work with him better than you may be able to.” Scrubbing a hand over his face, Sam looked at the bed, thinking it over. After a couple moments, he said, “Maybe. There is only one thing I can come up with that might do that. He would focus on you and not me then it might go in that direction. Maybe! I'm not sure about this because this is going to be a reaction that I can't fully calculate as I've not dealt with it before. Nothing even comes close to the situation.” “What do you have in mind?” Cas was pleased that Sam had something at least because he couldn't think of how to go about this. As courtship rituals weren't something he was adept at, he was lost nor did he think he would be any help. Chuckling nervously, Sam looked at his lover then said, “Let him walk in and catch us in bed together.” Seeing Cas stare at him, he added, “I don't mean doing something, of course, more like afterwards when I'm asleep. That way he focuses on you and not me. It'll hit him in the face in such a way that Dean can't deny it and will have to deal with it. He's going to be mad, no doubt there, but he'll focus on you because you're awake. I'm sure I'm going to get some of his temper, no doubt there, but if he reacts like normal, and he might not with this, he's going to realize because of some of what you've said to him, that I know what's going on. He's not going to handle that well. If he doesn't say it, you can bring it up, making sure you tell him I know. Then what will come will probably blow in your direction more than mine. Once that part's over, we can work from there with him. And, if you can disable the car so he can't run off, something I'm sure you can do, he's going to have to face it head on.” Stopping, he looked at the angel and said, “This is not the best plan, it really isn't, but it's the best I can come up with fast. If it's going how you say, we don't have a lot of time to work with this, Cas.” Looking at the younger Winchester, Castiel thought it over. No, it wasn’t the best. Even he knew that. It might be something that would work though. Sam would be asleep and Dean would focus on him, at least that's what he hoped. As he didn't sleep and would be awake, he could make certain of that, engaging the older brother in such a way as to make Dean deal with him. Giving a slow nod, he said, “It's something I can work with. I think that the situation might bring about what we want. He's going to be mad, this I know. And if I push him just a little, he'll take it out on me. Once his temper runs its course, I think I can push him the right way. Yes, this is good. And can be done quickly.” Pleased that the most basic plan was in place, Sam nodded. “Alright, good. Now we work on the when. Tonight—well, it's odd. Dean's been all but stuck to me like we're sewn together. Tonight's the first night since his last dealing with you that he's gone anywhere. I'm not sure if he's going back to his old habits or it's just that he needs to get out. So, when do you want to do this?” Stopping, he waited for Cas to answer. “Tonight,” Cas said without thinking about it, looking at Sam intently. “We do it tonight. Dean will be out for a long time and it's best that we start before both sides formulate more than the most basic of plans that they have. We won't get all we want tonight, but it'll be a start. It'll also blindside everyone.” Stopping, Cas waited for his lover's reaction. Though slightly unnerved by the speed with which Cas wanted to take this, Sam gave a shaky nod. “Alright, tonight. If you're sure you can handle it, Cas.” “I can,” Castiel assured him, looking determined and nodding. “Then tonight it is,” Sam chuckled nervously, looking at him. “We just better make sure it looks good and Dean can tell just what we did.” Stopping, he grinned a bit, “Some more bite marks would help! That set him off last time!” “We won't have to make it look good, Sam, because we will have done what it will appear to Dean,” Cas told him, quickly straddling Sam and beginning to pull the man's clothing off, tossing them over onto Dean's bed. “I should have expected this,” Sam grinned. Putting a hand on the back of Cas' head, he pulled him in for another kiss while his clothes were being flung aside. Kissing Sam back passionately while extracting him from the rest of his clothing, Cas then broke off the kiss when he was nude. Quickly, he began to take his own off, tossing them aside as he did. Watching Cas disrobe, Sam was happy. Honestly? Though the fallout from this could be immense, something he knew well, the fact that he wouldn't have to hide the relationship that was making him happy would be nice. Not to mention the fact that Cas wouldn't have to leave when they were done. No, he wasn't one that went for all kinds of snuggling, nor was the angel really, but being held while he slept for a change would be great. Though still uptight over what he knew was coming, that was shunted aside when he was all but tackled by the now fully naked angel, pressed down into the mattress flat on his back and his mouth was starting to be devoured once more. Oh, he did like this!
Coasting his baby into the parking spot right in front of the room, Dean killed the engine. Looking at the curtains, it appeared the lights were off, at least from what he could see in the gaps around them. That meant that Sammy was asleep. Of course that was to be expected since it was well after midnight. He hadn't planned on being gone as long as he was, but it had happened and wasn't odd, so he went with it. Besides, he needed some time away from his brother because of all the perverse thoughts running through his head anymore. It was becoming much harder to deal with them, especially since he was leery of being alone, with Cas being strange and turning up when he was. Though wanting to give himself some time to face seeing Sam, something that always brought on the fantasies anymore, he quickly remembered what happened with Cas each time he did that lately and quickly bailed out of the car. No, he couldn't handle the kissing, groping, touchy-feely angel tonight, even if he did like the way it felt and the fact that the angel was damned good at it! Making sure to grab everything out of the car, he locked up his baby and headed for the room. Fumbling with the keycard, he slid it into the slot and eased open the door, not wanting to wake Sammy. Sliding in, he shut the door quietly then looked up, like he always did to check on his brother and froze, eyes widening to the point that he was sure they were about to pop out of his head. Dropping everything he was holding, all he could do was stare at the sight on Sam's bed. Cas, wide awake, of course, was sitting there with his ginormous brother draped across him under the covers, looking like he had no clothes on. In fact, the covers were down far enough that he was damned certain that neither the angel, nor Sam, had clothes on! Starting to stammer softly, his eyes lifted to where he was looking at the angel. “What the hell?” He hissed, keeping his voice down so as not to wake the sleeping Sam. “Be quiet, Dean. Sam's sleeping,” Cas told him softly, staring directly at him. “What are you doing?” Dean asked, voice just above a whisper. “You're in bed with Sam!” “I thought that was obvious, Dean,” Castiel told him directly. “Sam wanted me to stay the night with him, and has for a while now, so I am.” Gibbering, not sure what to say, Dean finally managed to stutter out, “Sam is your lover? My Sam? As in my brother, Sam, is your lover?” “I thought that would be obvious from the position we are in,” Cas commented matter of factly. “Yes, Sam is my lover and has been for a while now.” Eyes sliding to his sleeping brother, Dean just stammered as he looked at him. Once more, Sam's chest and shoulders were marked with bites and hickeys. Just like the last time. Scrubbing a hand over his face then through his hair, not sure what to say or do, brain not wanting to function so it didn't have to confirm that he was actually seeing what he was seeing, he blurted out, “You left the marks on him last time! You—bit him!” Brow furrowing, looking down at Sam, letting his fingers slip through the messy mop of hair on his head, Cas nodded, “I did. I tend to get a little aggressive at times without realizing it. Sam doesn't appear to mind it. In fact, he seems to take a great deal of enjoyment from such acts. At least that's what he says and is the reaction I get when I do it. He becomes rather vocal in his pleasure when I do such things.” That's where any kind of denial and not wanting to admit what he was truly seeing came to an end. It's also the place where Dean's infamous temper began to show. Eyes narrowing at the angel, he hissed, “You and I need to talk Cas. Right friggin' now.” “Alright,” Cas nodded. “We can do that. We'll just do so outside so as not to wake Sam.” Without a lick of shame about the act, he slid out of the bed, still being completely naked, and began to pull his clothes on. Jaw dropping as he watched the angel, Dean's brain about exploded. Flushing, he couldn't help himself and glanced at the bed. Though he didn't get a full view of his now obviously naked brother, he got enough to tell him that, indeed, Sam was, such as a glimpse of the short and curlies above where the sheet was resting. Not to mention one fully bare hip. Though he told himself not to, he couldn't help but glance at Cas as well. That gave him more than an eye full of the naked angel, something he wasn't sure he could handle right now. Shaking his head, he mumbled something or other, with he, himself, not even sure what it was supposed to be, then said, clearly, tone deadly but soft, “I'll be outside waiting.” Letting himself out of the room, he shut the door behind him then walked over and leaned against his baby to wait. Of course, the thought of just taking off came to him, something that would give him time to put some distance between himself and the situation, but he wouldn't allow himself to do that. No, he was going to face this head on and deal with it from there. How? Well, he didn't know that yet. He really didn't. He would though! After getting his clothing in place, Cas stepped outside, pleased that Dean didn't look like he was going to make a move to run off. However, to be on the safe side, he disabled the Impala from starting so that Dean would have to stay and deal with the situation. Walking over and standing in front of Dean, Cas just waited to see what he was going to say so he could judge how to go about this. Glaring at the angel, Dean said the first thing that came to mind, “You've been fucking my brother!” “Yes, I have,” Cas admitted calmly. “I quite enjoy the act, actually. Sam seems to like my performance as well. Despite the fact that I had no experience doing so before we did it the first time, his reaction to it tells me that he takes a great deal of enjoyment from it.” Groaning in mental pain, Dean shut his eyes at the images that tried to play out and thought his brain was going to explode regarding the over-sharing that the angel had just come across with. If he understood it right, his own damned brother was the being that took the angel's virginity. The level of wrong that descended to was so far beyond his comprehension he couldn't even begin to handle it. “Why, Cas? Why Sam?” “I don't know,” Cas told him honestly. “I suppose it's like humans talk about; you don't always understand your choice. I find him very attractive and there was a pull to him. So, I acted on it. Though he was reluctant at first, he agreed to give it a chance and it's moved on from there. By now, we both like the relationship and find it pleasing.” Stopping, he waited to see Dean's reaction to the whole thing. Looking intently at Cas, Dean wasn't sure what to say. Shaking his head, he let out a quivering breath then said, “Sam is your lover, the one you told me about? Is he the one that you meant would be willing to involve me in a threesome with you?” “Yes,” Cas stated simply. “Sam's already agreed to the threesome.” “Right,” Dean nodded, unable to wrap his mind around his prude of a brother agreeing to a threesome of any kind with anyone. “I don't suppose you told him who the third in the threesome would be, did you?” “I did, actually,” Cas told him bluntly. “Sam's well aware that you're the one that would be the third and what kind of feelings you have for him right now. I made that very clear, Dean. It's not something I would hide from Sam.” “He knows?” Dean asked, going pale, trembling slightly, eyes overly wide. “You told him about that part?” “Oh, yes. He's well aware. I made it very clear what problems you're having with him and why they have come about. He's more than willing to add you to our relationship.” Cas told him calmly, looking into his eyes. And that's where Dean felt like someone had kicked him dead square in the nuts and his world exploded.
