Grace Adler Walker and Karen Walker have been married for a little over a year now and it was heavenly. There were no problems after a few incidents that occurred during and after the honeymoon. All that was there for them was love and sex, plus spending a lot of time with Will and Jack who were now a couple. After a year an a half of marriage, there was more passion between Grace and Karen then when they first got together. Grace was working on her sketches at work, when Karen came up behind her and wrapped her arms around Grace�s waist which made Grace smile.)

Karen: Hiya honey, how is the work coming along?

Grace: Great now that your arms are around me. (Karen started to kiss Grace�s shoulder and neck which made Grace giggle.)

Grace: Sure! (With that she knocked the sketches and other items off the desk, then she got on top of the desk and pulled Karen on top of her. Jack: Anyhoo, do you two wonderful married ladies want to go out to lunch with these ladies?

Grace: Why not, I love lunch!

Will: You also love breakfast, brunch, dinner, etc!

Karen (taking Grace by the hand): Never mind you pansy, let�s get the hell outta here! (With that, the friends headed off to the nearest restaurant near Grace�s and Karen�s work.) (They had lunch at an Italian restaurant and waited for their food to come, while in the mean time, they chatted.)

Jack: So, what is on your lesbo�s agenda today?

Will: Jack, they are...never mind!

Karen: Well poodle, after work I thought I take Grace out on the town until the early morning hours.

Will: Just an excuse to get smashed and have sex, eh?

Grace: Do you have a better way, Mister Prude?

Jack: And Jackie is looking forward to it! (As the friends were talking, their food came and they began to eat. Grace was gorging on lasagna, spaghetti and meatballs and tortellini, while Karen had her martini and Will and Jack had raviolis. )

Jack (chewing on a ravioli): I love Italian food, it is not only delicious, but sexy too!

Will: How is that?

Karen: Lord, you need to get an update on the facts of life! Italian food is sexy because it is not only a romantic type of food, but you could do kinky stuff with it. (About two hours later, Grace and Karen returned to work and Grace was checking her messages when she received a message from her ex-husband, Leo asking her to call him as soon as possible, there were some things he needed to clean the air about.)

Karen (walking away from Grace mumbling): Or a punching bag!

Grace: What? (Karen was started to feel nervous and jittery that she poured herself a scotch and whiskey instead of the usual martini.)

Karen: Uh, nothing honey!

Grace: What is going on with you, why are so jumpy?

Karen: I just don�t think this is such a good idea, who knows what the Leon has up his sleeve. He acts like he still wants to be your friend, but I bet he resents us because we are married now and he isn�t!

Grace: Regardless of your fears, I am going to call him and you, Will and Jack will be there when Leo comes to talk to me!

Karen (sarcastically): Yes, Warden!

Grace: And drop the attitude if you still want a good time tonight!

Karen: Fine! (With that she folded her arms and pouted like a little girl, while Grace was returning Leo�s call.)

(Grace dialed Leo�s phone number and was hoping that she got his answering machine, but he picked up on the first ring.)

Leo: Hello?

Grace: Hi Leo, this is Grace.

Leo: Grace, how are you?

Grace: I�m good and how about you?

Karen (still pouting): Probably whoop de doo since he is going to see you!

Grace (covering the receiver with her hand): Karen!

Leo: Is everything okay?

Grace (laughing nervously): Yeah, Karen is just being a tease as always!

Karen: You wish! (Grace glared at Karen to shut up.)

Grace: I just need to tell you that I�m willing to talk to you, but Will, Jack and Karen will be there. (There was a pause for a second) Leo?

Leo: I�m still here, that will be uh...fine.

Grace: Are you sure you are fine with that?

Karen: Like he has a frickin� choice, that miserable son of a ....

Grace: Shut up!! (Karen backed off, glaring at Grace.)

Leo: Are you sure you want to do this, I see things are kind of awkward right now.

Grace: Don�t worry about it, just meet me at Will�s tomorrow around 5, is that ok?

Leo: Sure, that will be fine, see you then.

Grace: Ok, bye.

Leo: Bye. (With that, Grace hung up and then turned to Karen in anger.)

Grace: Your behavior was uncalled for! (Karen got up from her desk, with her purse.)

Karen: I�m going home! (With that she stalked off, Grace got her purse, she switched the lights off, locked the door and went after Karen.)

(About a half-hour later, Grace and Karen were at the Penthouse and barely speaking to one another. Karen poured herself a martini, then went off to bed to get away from the crap, she stripped out of her clothes and hopped into bed, pulling the sheets up to her bosom. Grace came into the room and also stripped out of her clothes, then she got into bed too. She got close to Karen, wrapped her arms around Karen�s waist and had her chin on Karen�s shoulder; Karen did not fight her off. Karen�s eyes were filled with tears and tried to hide them from Grace, but Grace noticed them.)

Grace: What are you afraid of, sweetheart?

Karen: I feel like something is going to happen that will tear us apart.

Grace: Is that what was concerning you? (By this time, Karen burst into tears and Grace kissed her to try to comfort her.)

Karen (crying): I have this premonition about something and I hope to god it doesn�t happen. I don�t want to lose you. (Karen turned towards to Grace and Grace took her into her arms, holding her tightly.)

Grace: Nothing will happen and you won�t lose me, by the way Leo spoke, I think he may have gotten married again and wants to tell me.

Karen: How do you know, from the way you talk to him, he seemed hesitant to see the three of us!

Grace: That�s Leo, you know that. (Karen wiped the tears from her eyes.)

Karen (sniffing): Oh yeah, what a wuss!

Grace: I know you never liked him to begin with, but I�m just needing you to be there that�s all.

Karen: Ok honey. (Karen took Grace�s hand and began to kiss it making Grace smile.)

Grace: Do you still want to go out or stay in for the night.

Karen (getting on top of Grace): You know what my answer is going to be, so we might as well make the best of being in bed together.

Grace (hugging Leo): Hey there!

Leo (hugging Grace back): Hey, Grace! Karen!

Karen (snorting in disgust): Leon!

Leo (letting go of Grace): It�s Leo.

Karen: Whatever.

Grace (shooting Karen a warning look): Please don�t start. (Before Karen could say anything, Will opened the door and came out with Jack in tow.)

Will: What�s the commotion... (Pauses uncomfortably) oh hi, Leo.

Leo: Hi, Will and Jack.

Jack: What is Doctor Doogie Loser doing here?

Will: Jack!

Leo: That�s ok, I expect that, but I�m here to talk to Grace and she wanted all of you to be here to support her.

Grace: Is that ok, Will?

Will (sarcastically): Oh sure, Jack and I weren�t going anywhere!

Karen: Ya know Mary Poppins, you could just say �no� instead of being a sarcastic bitch!

Will (putting his arm around Grace): I�m sorry, sure come in. (With that Will, Grace, and Leo came in, while Jack and Karen stood there for a second. Jack had his arms folded.)

Jack: Great, now our plans are ruined, Will was going to take me shopping! I needed a new Cher wig, my old one was falling apart!

Karen: Quit your bitchin� and take this! (She handed Jack a one hundred-dollar bill and Jack snatched it immediately. He and Karen went into the apartment.)

(Will, Jack and Karen were sitting on the couch, while Grace and Leo stood up. Will, Jack and Karen were glaring at Leo suspiciously which made Leo feel even more uncomfortable.)

Grace (snapped): For god�s sakes, quit with the glaring, you guys! (Will and Jack looked away, while Karen continued to glare at Leo.)

Grace: Uh, would you like something to drink, Leo?

Leo: No, thank you.

Karen (getting up from the couch): I could use a drink! (She went to the kitchen and poured herself a strong drink, then came back to the couch and sat back down, next to Jack.)

Grace: So, what is it you want to talk to me about?

Leo: This is very hard for me to tell you, I know you will not handle this well.

Grace: Don�t worry about me, just tell me. (Karen leaned forward and shot daggers at Leo.)

Karen (growling): You are going down, Dr. Jew!

Grace: Shut up, Karen! (Karen stood up and was ready to strike when Jack pulled her back on the couch.)

Leo: You know how our marriage ended because of I slept with that woman in Cambodia?

Grace (sighing and rolling her eyes): Yes!

Leo: Well, it wasn�t the woman that I told you about. (Grace was starting to dread that she invited Leo over to talk to her, because the conversation was taking a horrible turn. Karen was getting angrier by the minute, because she knew what was coming. Will and Jack had no idea what was going on and was curious to know what was going to happen.)

Grace: Ok, who was the woman? (Karen stood up again and took Grace by the arm and headed towards the door.)

Karen: Let�s make a break for it before hell freezes over!

Grace (yanking herself away from Karen): I want to here this, who was it, Leo?

Leo (gulped): It was Karen. (Grace started to laugh hysterically while Leo had a serious look on his face and Will and Jack had their mouths wide open from shock and looking at Karen. Karen looked down and feeling very uneasy. When Grace noticed that nobody else was laughing, she stopped laughing and she felt the color draining away from her face.)

Grace: Oh my god!

Leo: I am so sorry.

Karen (grumbled): Like you are the only one that is sorry, you asshole!

Will (recovering from shock): How could you Karen?

Karen: I didn�t mean for this to happen!

Grace (feeling her anger rise): So this is why you didn�t want me to talk to Leo?!

Karen (shoving Leo out of the way and getting close to Grace. Her hands on both of Grace�s shoulders): Gracie honey, please let me explain... (Grace yanked herself away from Karen, she was burning with fury.)

Grace (shouting): How are you going to explain? You fucked my then husband in Cambodia! My friend and now wife betrayed me!

Leo: Grace...

Karen (hissed): Oh shut up, you vindictive sonofabitch! You were planning this because you did not want us to be a couple because you are miserable yourself!

Leo: I just wanted to clean the air completely with Grace, I didn�t mean to have this affect your marriage with Grace!

Karen: Bullshit!!

Grace: Both of you shut up and tell me how the hell this happened!

Karen (sighing): I went to Cambodia on some weekend excursion and to make fun of the poor people there. I bumped into Leo and he was drunker than I was, believe it or not and bing bam boom, we hit the sheets together, but it meant nothing to me.

Grace: You didn�t even like Leo, what possessed you to do it?!

Karen: You knew me then, that I would sleep with anything that moved!

Grace (screaming): Including my husband, you skank whore!

Karen: Grace, I love you very much and it was never my intention to hurt you. You know how I am.

Grace (ignoring what Karen had sad): Is there anything else you would like to tell me before I lose it completely?

Karen: Did I mention that I slept with Jackie too? (Grace gasped in horror, Will was in a state of shock and Jack jumped up, horrified by Karen�s confession.)

Jack (screeching): Damn it Kare, you promised to keep it to yourself!!

Karen (shouted): Shove it, I�m screwed as it is, I might as well bring someone done with me and it is you!

Grace: JACK IS GAY, YOU BITCH!

Karen: Well, he wanted to see what is was like to sleep with a woman, so we experimented, but it meant nothing to Poodle and me. It was only an experiment!

(Grace grabbed Jack by the collar of his shirt and began back handing him several times until he went limp and slumped back on the couch like a rag doll.)

Grace: You back stabbing little freak, I�ll never forgive you for this!

Jack (regaining his senses): I didn�t mean any harm, this queen was only curious! (Will recovered from another shock and stood up from the couch in rage.)

Will: Why didn�t you tell me this?!

Jack: Because I know how you would react and I didn�t think it was a big deal!

Will: NOT A BIG DEAL?! HOW COULD YOU SAY SOMETHING LIKE THAT, OF COURSE IT IS A BIG DEAL!

Grace (sitting back on the couch, with her head in her hands): I can�t believe this shit is happening to me, what did I ever do to deserve this? (Grace started to cry and Will went to Grace to offer a shoulder to cry on, Grace accepted. Karen tried to get near her, but Will blocked her off.)

Will: Back off, whore!

Karen (getting down on her knees): Please don�t make me beg, I�ve never been the begging type, but please forgive me. I love and need you. Don�t throw away this marriage, like the marriage before. Oh crap! (She cringed after she said that and Grace pulled away from Will and glared at Karen.)

Grace: Are you saying that I threw away my marriage to Leo?

Karen: I didn�t mean it like that...

Leo: Of course you did! (Karen turned away from Grace and glared at Leo, she got up from her knees and she got close to Leo. Without working, she kicked him in the balls, which made Jack, Will and even Grace flinch. Leo collapsed on his knees, grabbing his crotch and groaning in agony.)

Karen: I had just about enough of you, it�s time for you to get the hell out of here!

Leo (screaming in pain): If I can, you ball breaking bitch! (Grace stood up and wiped the tears from her face, and she pulled Leo by the arm to get him up, then she opened the door and shoved him out the door.)

Grace: I never want to be your friend again!

Leo (still groaning and limping): But Grace... (Before he could say anything, she slammed the door in his face. The she turned to Karen and glared at her for a second.)

Grace (pointed at Karen and Jack): I never want to see you or Jack again!

Karen: You don�t mean that, do you?

Grace: Like hell I don�t! (With that, she took off her wedding ring and threw it on the floor.)

Karen: Hey!!

Grace: I hate both of you for what you�ve done!

Jack: Grace, please don�t reject us, it wasn�t...

Grace: I don�t want to hear it! (With that, she stormed out of the apartment, leaving Karen standing there in shock and devastation. Will got up and glared at Jack.)

Will: I want your bags packed and you get out. Karen, it�s time you leave and never to return here again. (Jack was ready to say something when Will left the apartment to go after Grace. Jack stood there with Karen, both in stunned silence.)

Jack: Can you believe what is happen to us?

Karen (quietly): Don�t talk to me, our friendship is over.

Jack: What?

Karen (spun around to face Jack, hissing): You heard me, you�ve caused this shit to happen and now it�s over! Give me my money back!

Jack (hurt by Karen�s words): But Karebear, we are the best of friends, I don�t want to lose you.

Karen: Tough, now give me back my money, or I�ll get it myself and it won�t be fun either! (Jack sadly took the money out of his pocket and gave it to Karen, she snatched it away, then stormed out of the apartment, leaving Jack standing there in tears.)

(Karen got into her limo and she just sat there, with Grace�s ring in her hand. She looked at Grace�s wedding ring and felt herself coming apart. She lost everyone that meant everything to her, Grace, Jackie and even Will. Tears started to form in her brown eyes and streamed down her cheeks. She didn�t even bother to wipe them away. Karen didn�t even know what to do anymore, but she knew she didn�t want to let the marriage go like Leo did. She wanted her Gracie back and that was as there to it. )

Limo Driver: Home, Mrs. Walker? (Karen just nodded, for the first time she didn�t have a wisecrack or rude comment to make the comment. She was too much in shock to do much of anything. The limo driver took Karen home and Rosario was waiting up for her. Karen just walked past her and Rosario pulled her by the arm.)

Rosario: What�s this, no �Rosie get my slippers� or �Rosie, quit trimming your nose hairs and fix me a drink�?

Karen (softly): No.

Rosario: Ok Miss Karen, what�s up?

Karen: Nothing�s up, just leave me the hell alone! (With that, Karen headed up to her room and slammed it behind her. She stripped out of her clothes and got into a dark purple silk robe, then slipped into bed and noticed that the opposite side of the bed was empty and that was when Karen started to sob. She muffled her sobs with her pillow so nobody could hear her agonizing sobs. Things were tough between her and Grace, but not as tough and horrible like this. Karen thought that her cries weren�t heard or answered, but she ended up being comforted by her dear ol� Rosie. Rosario came into the room and took Karen into her arms, holding her like a mother would with her own child.)

Karen (sobbing): Oh god Rosie, I don�t know what I do without with my Gracie.

Rosario: There, there, Miss Karen, everything will be ok. Miss Grace will be ok.

Karen (still sobbing): I don�t think she will this time, I�ve lost her because I betrayed her by sleeping with her then husband, Leon!

Rosario: You whore.... I mean you poor thing, that could happen to anyone!

Karen: I know you don�t mean it, I don�t blame ya, and I did screw up big time, I mean Gracie gave me back the wedding ring.

Rosario: Then you need to go to her and try to put it back on her finger, you two were meant for another.

Rosario: Then you�re screwed, lady! (With that, Rosario got up and left the bedroom, leaving Karen there in tears.)

(Grace was at the coffee shop, crying and Will was there to give her comfort. Grace wasn�t sure what she was going to do next, she really did not want to end things permanently but at the same time she didn�t know if things were going to get any better.)

Grace: I think I just need to get away for a while.

Will: Do you know where you are planning to go it?

Grace: Not really, but if I did I would not be able to tell you. It�s not that I don�t trust you, but Karen will go at all costs for you to confess. You know how desperate she gets.

Will: Yeah, she is ever possessive that�s for sure!

Grace (sighed): I do have to admit though she despite all of this, she still loves me.

Will: How can you say that, she slept with your ex-husband and she didn�t come after you when you left.

Grace: Maybe, I just don�t know.

Will: Well, will you at least call me when you get to wherever it is you are going to, so I know you are ok?

Grace: Sure.

Will: I love you, Grace.

Grace: I love you too, I think its time for me to get going. (Grace and Will got up to hug one another, then Grace left. Will�s eyes were filled were tears as he watched his best friend disappear into a taxi.)

(For the next few weeks, Karen was practically a zombie, she would not have any drinks, or make rude comments to Rosario and other servants. Mainly she was in bed, either asleep or going through Grace�s clothes and clinging to them, wanting to holding onto something that was a part of Grace. She missed everything about her Gracie, her beauty, her warmth, her funny laugh and so much more. Karen wanted and needed Grace so much, but she felt that the thing with Leo was unforgivable and wasn�t sure if she could get Grace back, even though she wanted to. Her friendship with Jack was basically over; Karen felt he and Leo were to be blamed for starting this crap. Jack has left messages, pleading and crying for her and Grace to forgive him. But there wasn�t anything to forgive, she lost her Gracie and basically her life was in the crapper after that. Rosario was worried about Karen and tried to do everything she could to bring Karen out of her depression, but to no avail. Finally one day, while Karen was in bed sleeping, clutching one of Grace�s favorite blouses, Rosario came into the room with a huge bucket of ice cold water and dumped it on Karen. Karen immediately bolted from her bed.)

Karen (gasping): Good lord, are you outta ya damn mind?!!!

Rosario: Lady you are the one who lost your damn mind!

Karen: Whattdya mean?

Rosario: I mean you are the shadow of your former self, the one that I loved and admired, as much as a bitch that self was!

Karen: Hellooooo, my wife is gone, how am I suppose to act?!

Rosario: First of all, you have all the money in the world to be able to locate her and second of all, you were always the tough ol� bitch that never gave up on anything!

Karen: I never did though of that, the thing is Rosie, Gracie may not want to come back.

Rosario: You don�t know that, Miss Karen! Now get in that shower and go after to Miss Grace!

Karen (heading off to the restroom): Oh all right! (She stopped for a moment and smiled at Rosario.)

Karen: Thank ya Rosie, you�re a pal!

Rosario: You�re welcome, Miss Karen.

Karen: Now move that rump and get me a drink!

Rosario (walking out of the bedroom): I�d like to kick your rump, you three week sobering bitch! (Karen sighed, then she got into the shower.)

(After Karen got herself together, she decided to go over to Will�s and try to make amends with him. She knows it�s not going to be easy, but it�s worth a shot. Karen went over to Will�s place and knocked on the door. Will opened it, and when he saw Karen standing there, he slammed the door in her face, but she came in anyway.)

Karen (sitting on the couch): I know you are pissed about what happened and I understand that. But I need my Gracie, you know that. (Will started to clean, that is what he did whenever he was pissed off.)

Will (polishing the dinner table): I can�t help you and if I could, I wouldn�t because you betrayed my closest and dearest friend.

Karen: I know that and I have to frickin� pay for it each day by sleeping alone clinging to Grace�s god awful clothes!

Will: So, you just want her back for the sex, is that it?
